Come to my lips, elixir!
Your divine broth,
clear and pure,
humble and exotic,
simple yet complex.
Your hint of lemongrass,
a sprig of cilantro,
a handful of shrimp.

"Mild?" "Yes, rather mild,
I'm just not that brave."

cherry pie yum yum

Some bites are sour
Most have a bit of sweet
The crust can be flaky and flavorful
Or it can be a part of the sugar taste
Each bite is a bit of a surprise
Warmed up cherry pie, what could be better?
Add an ice-cold dollop of vanilla iced cream to mine.
My daddy eats his with a sliver of cheddar

Sweetie the bear followed the honey smells for a mile.
When he reached it, he gave everyone a growl and a smile.
When they saw his large teeth they backed away from the barrel.
He headed toward the honeycomb, straight as an arrow.

the butterfly said
 to the fly why you fly smell
 eat dung/manure

 butterfly because the foods

ofttimes finds ruining his fate
while squarely planted on me bum

wayward synonymous days old crumb -

after getting wolfed (re: gang lions)

Chocolate Covered Roaches Yum Yum

I ate roaches for breakfast. Chocolate covered.
He studies my eyes, hoping for a reaction, or a bit of squeamishness.
I say yum yum and lick my lips.
They were not quite cooked, he informs me.
They kept running away from the plate.
The two with their legs out.
I smile and nod encouragingly.

During the depression if you got an orange in your sock
You could feel blessed and lucky, and it felt like Christmas. 
Orange tea and orange cake delight me in all kind of ways but 
Marmalade I eat every morning on toast is the sweetest orange of all.
