Yellows and gray

You opened the door
we said hi
what was going on
in your mind?
mine wasn't there
mine was behind
trying to untangle the knots
of my life...

You came to my office
to talk about love
I wasn't ready at that moment
I had to say no
you left me with my sins
and with another knot
for you to not to be seen
anymore...

My world started spinning
at the fear of my lost
in the end we were friends
I didn't want you to go
I forgot about my life
and all what happened before
I couldn't be abandoned
once more...

I ran into your arms
like a broken bird
begging for you to come back
begging you to stay
I didn't know I was being fooled
by my past pain
by my terrors and my guilt
and my yellows and grays

You were waiting for me
in triumph and delight
just like one who achieves
a trophy so shine
you opened your heart
but not for a long time
I got trapped inside with no key
while you left for life.

Premium MemberYellows Yet Alive Living By the Father Side

68 years ago on this day yellow was displayed;
As bright as the sun so shine yellow has begun;
Brilliant as the light yellow was my bride;
Yellow was born birth alive;
Yellow brilliant brightly light;
Yet now has went back to the Father's side;
Sunshine's yellow has gone back home to live with her Father;

Premium MemberMy Yellows and Oranges Dazzle

What sorcery is afoot in the woods on this October night?
I stir a few embers, and relight myself
The humans asleep or dead, I don’t care which
I am alive, a fire phoenix, replenishing my absoluteness

An owl hoots a warning, trying to wake them up
I begin to dance, as warmth spreads throughout my timbers
Sure, you thought I was dead, but surprise.
I am replenishing myself, understanding no one else will

Sparks! A joy overtakes me as hope and optimism arrive
A flash of yellow, on her way to becoming full out red.
A flame. I scream with happy pops and smacks.
Bam! I am once again a full blown blaze.

Why do these campers never put me out completely?
Do I care? I am leaping, lunging, laughing, loving myself.
My yellows and oranges are dazzling the entire forest.
My flame shadows light up the tents of the sleeping.

I am mystical, magical, ethereal, an alchemist, a sorcerer.
How will they react when they realize I have again
Forsaken them, and burned up another forest thanks to them?
I am impassioned, alive, a full blown pyromaniac of a fire!

In Yellows

All-day long in storytelling we are
Time spins with the summer heat
Your mild touch in the open field

Yellows after yellows the love sea
Intoxicated by the sweet smell
Dancing bumblebees wings to hail

You and I in the open engaging chest
Holding hands under the blue sky
Draw the love kisses together high

Sleep O dear in this hearty alley
I’ll wake you up in this honeymoon
If the yellows do not end this path

Come, come to the fertile land
Listen to the scarlet song of life
To adorn the invocated pleasure

Yields In Yellows

Signs in marigold
with a daffodil accent
hints a yarrow drawl,
laughed I a sunflower be
saffron breaths refrain in gold.

Premium MemberThe Yellows Are Winning

the yellows are winning
dandelions and daffodils leading the way
sun shines her yellow on the earth
spring prances into sight with bird trill tune

the yellows are lively
adding happiness to the season
as we plant yellow marigolds
surrounded by tiny butterflies showing their own yellow
around beautiful monarchs

Emoticon Yellows

Emoticon Yellows

If I were rich, which is a crime
I could do anything I wished
Claim my rights and entitlements as “affluenza”
But I’m an ordinary cyberpunk
A regular yellow kind of guy
An emoticon with an attitude
Manscaping, sliding through life with a close shave
Cantankerous and bodacious all the time
In chillax style, riding the daily yellow bus
Dragging my portmanteaus box inside
And my delishful gal with me there
Clad in fashionable plarn
Irregardless of everything else
We rise above the sights and flee
Above the ancient vomitocious towns
And meld into each other’s grue calm eyes
Canoodling all the while
Smog passes with the night
Snark comments distract us
An anacronym word or two slips out
But we don’t care
We’re off to spend the affluenza check
Just to prove we can

(PORTMANTEAUS words: “PORTMANTEAUS Box” all contest entry listed words
+ "canoodling" - hugs and kisses and "cantankerous- old and feisty )

Premium MemberYellows and Blues

Tonight I sleep
With the prince
A yellow pill
Prescribed by a Shrink
It takes me down
And makes me
Dream of snakes
And dragons
And screaming pigs
It is not pretty
This sleep of mine
I wonder if she
Would come back in time
Hollow though the slumber
I call sleep
Ah so humble
I am afraid to peek.

When I wake I take a pill
It’s blue and makes me reel
It’s suppose to make me happy
It’s suppose to make life real
But it never happens
I feel so alone
Like Elvis on the telephone
Mama help me…
“Sonny! Red! Get me the hell
Outta here”
And then I realize I never left the building
Because the dream is real
And reality is a dream
And then I take the yellow pill
It starts again
It never ever seems to end.

Hangs over petaled yellows
And the green I'm on
