Still life Pics Seasoned Hearts

Still life Pics
Of moving parts
Midnight mix
Of seasoned hearts
A morning sun
An evening moon
The day is done
And gone too soon
And you and I
And I and you
The time goes by
But hearts stay true
Red is yarrow
Yellow Blue
A new tomorrow
In borrowed hue
The still life picks
Its falling parts
But saves for Styx
Its seasoned hearts
Exit the Autumnal Equinox
David J Walker
Decades of decay line the lanes of
Seasonal death scenes descending to
Another frozen winter
The master of the Autumnal Equinox
dispenses its mercies
At best sparingly
Transitions subtle
Under the blended reflection
of a cooler sun
Yellow as yarrow
Rusted blood red orange
Pinks disappear on
The western horizon
Dark mountains lined
With Aspin and Pine
Only get in the way
Of Autumn leaving and
Winters grand entrance
In a distant storm
Formed
in ice and snow
Yarrow spun like golden threads stitched upon the field
A patchwork of lavender highlights, tender they sway
Above exploits of brilliant lime stems they pledge to shield
The wind ruffles natures bedspread of a delicate crochet
Blossoms sashay along rows in a flower show runway
My eyes feast, entranced, at the brilliance of the palette
To uncover a Monet in a brushed purple and yellow duet
Perfume tantalizes the air into a hushed spray of reverence
With bees humming through a chorus in a magical vignette
I sit in awe as I feel the earth touch the sky in effervescence

Borrow Yarrow To Bloom Tomorrow
What if from you seeds were to borrow,
And are full of colors like pretty yarrow;
Did profess,
Odor possess,
That we wish would bloom by tomorrow.
