A poem, I suppose, unlike prose,
is laid upon the page like a painter’s brush.
First the outline shapes complete, background and foundation,
not too neat, but a promise of what is not complete.
And never static, not still life, but land and sea
and sky and earth, wind and wave, and dancing feet.
Some strokes are bold and to the fore.
Others link, not less, not more, but each essential,
as with lace, lest holes appear to spoil the trace.
We are God’s workmanship, His painted poem,
composed, and when complete, fine-framed
in His own likeness. To be like Him,
perfect, pure, refined, unstained.
God’s poems are not finger-stabbed to tiny screens,
hurtful, unkind, sent unseen, abbreviated and unpunctuated,
short and shorthanded, words landed without care or thought.
He does not swipe to left or right, or judge by wealth, or dress, or sight.
Despite the shabby staining sin, He counts it treasure, concealed within,
and infinitely patient, crafts His hidden Word, ‘til all His work is done,
and then that work shall be revealed, son’s glory, for His beloved Son.

God’s workmanship* are we of His divine craftsmanship
Being perfected thru stewardship in His partnership.
With His virtuous tools of holiness
The Holy Spirit works on our righteousness.
Constantly, He enhances our divine nature
Using His Word of truth of sanctifying feature.
Enabling us to strive to do our best
The Almighty Father leads us to be earnest.
Midst challenges, the Lord directs us to His will
As we yield to Him, joyously still.

Wonders wrought by God
Omnipotence proof
Revealing His might
Kindling worship praise.
Mankind, He reached out
Assured with His gift
Not neglecting me...
Soul of mine He saved
Held me near His heart
In His workmanship*
Perfecting my life!
*Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

the true art of serving,
according to your heart's content.
works that requires no payback;
ministry with no lay of shame,
where the effort itself can endure,
labors where you can rest assure,
you can be true to what you are going through.
serving with a purpose,
worship with true meaning of worth.
daily living with convictions of righteousness,
fellowship with meaning.
fruits of grace that can't be replaced,
genuine and new every morning dew of it's taste.
like exotic tapestry;
eloquent with every new form of pattern,
always has a message of fresh fire and hope,
enough to gain mercy from what you have lost.
HIS WORKMANSHIP
A new dawn breaks,
night's other world,off-shaken,
we adjust our protective mask
donned once more,as we waken;
Covering frailty as we dress,
hiding weakenesses away,
our false personna holds sway
against the arrows of the day;
This role-play brings us stress
forgetting lines in our distress,
the armour falls apart
and truth seeps from our heart.
Then beauty with which each are made
becomes our image on parade
