She wisped into existence
All reality quivered around her like
the morning glisten off dewdrops linger
Sorry I am late
She beamed at her friends
Sheer grimaced a smile
from her pale drudgery
Silth grabbed her wrist
Look plants grew in my footsteps
That’s new I am so used to the sand
He gazed at the rapidly expanding grass
See that forest there
I went for a walk in that field last night
Bo as usual was being carried piggy back
by her only love fate gaunt and wiry
but his shoulders never failed her
I know what we can do today Aque stopped her friends
Today we bring back truth
And no groans from you fate
So with me

the story goes
that convicted criminals crossing from court to prison
to be executed
or locked away in dank windowless cells
received one last look at the world--
from the bridge's portals facing the sea
where against Agian skies
sails slipped silently past
San Giorgio's doms and its tall tower
a million breaths
wisped away on the wind
fluttered softly to the water--
such a beautiful place
again to never see
forever more to leave
not one sigh stifled--
now, I upon that bridge
drink all that I can see
for whatever I've left
twenty--thirty
before eternity
I sigh
every day
every picture
every poem

She was transparent by choice
gold and silver slivers
wisped through her less
grass never bent or broke
upon her lightness of foot
breeze settled on her frame tamed
stars pointed to her
with expressions of wonder
sun light in jealous blazed
to burn her beauty
she contorted
like knotted swan necks
grasping at mist
that stayed in hand too long
resorted by her resource
clouds would crowd
straining for a glimpse
rays of light defiant in their nature
nuzzled and with tepid tendrils
held a moment of her moment

When the sun kisses each drop of rain,
spirited colors warm the heart...
like a wind wisped feather,
landing lightly on the soul.
Romance calls,
from a fresh faint whisper
mingled cleverly among the fallen.
A daydream smiles,
in a seductive voice.
Conjured memories evolve,
from indifference to fact,
plunging deep into fantasy,
erotically eager,
intoxicatingly anxious.
All is euphorically joyful.

Your Beauty Makes Me Nervous
by M. Griswold
04122020
Your beauty makes me nervous in a very special way.
Speech grows deadly silent for forgetting what to say.
When your eyes meet mine my breath is wisped away.
Your charm holds me captive in dumbfounded display.
Your beauty make me shy in a bashful, sheepish way.
To much the red upon my cheeks, emotions do betray.
When you smile it's as if the night suddenly turns to day.
The warmth of your presents is as a flower turned bouquet.
I don't know how to approach for my shyness does weigh.
So I write this pitiful letter of a nervous heart in dismay.
I dare not believe or think so within my selfishness I pray.
Such beauty as yours would have some time for me someday.
Your beauty makes me nervous in a very beautiful special way.
I lose all that I am within your presents, my heart’s stolen away.
I wish that I wasn't so afraid and be more boldly brave to say,
"Would you come out with me for a cup coffee or tea some day?"

head in pillow stuffing blocking a noise,
sheets soaked of fallen tears, hand tied in fists, blood seeping through the fingers.
his hand on he back pressing her to the mattress, whispering words of false comfort, small threats and enjoyment at her vulnerability.
her feet kicking against the pain as if her mal frame could throw his body away.
when he leaves, it as if body lays above her.
One made of hate and hurt. Betrayal and cowardice. The bruises on her body remind her of this time.
when her freedom and her choice was wisped away as easily as the sheets covered in her broken soul.
ripping the sheets off, as if clean sheets made her feel as if her body wasn't covered in sweat made of fear.
She wishes ripping those sheets off was as easy as peeling the tape he placed over her mouth with threats of violence if she removed it and let her pain spill from her swollen lips.
she lays there s darkness fills her room, and tears cover her fresh sheets.

When daylight seeps
‘round curtains sadder than the hangman's noose
To a room where brooding melancholy sleeps
Where are you, outside of lifes lone excuse?
When steaming food
To polished plate, wisped reminds of meals once shared
On tabletop scarred with my lonesome mood
Where are you, to ease when I no longer care?
The music swells
Baleful violins weep a note so pure
Soul seeks me out, my pain so deeply felt
Where are you, when I alone must endure?
When liquid eyes
Across crowded room expectant seek
Your approach, my shining armoured prize
Where are you, my loneliness to defeat?
When dread so taunts
And leaden feet on gravel pathways pass
‘midst grey skinned yews in winter gaunt
There are you ‘neath granite slab and frost-burned grass.

I ask the sky but the height I cannot hear,
Who is holding her hand?
Who has something so dear?
No longer vigil for the impossible is a deep fear,
Dream a kiss on lips and a wipe of a cheek tear,
No answers but the obvious can be seen here,
Is it a number that is dictated by the year?
Never had a chance for happiness with you near,
Floating feather wisped by the wind and disappears.

Weather looked upon not contemplating
Shores forgot, wisped away to beaches anew
This place that place, sea of blue
Set close not too far
voices in the wind here we are
Rods set tall and straight here it is
we will wait
Lines tightened, rods a bent
fresh bait with old scent
Slicks rolling in crests of waves
Just beyond a bubbling fish raves
Set the hook reel the line
Buddies of fish it's dinnertime

Trails
of night
bring rays
one by one;
sparkling air -
breaths quieting
calm and fragrant…
stars glisten hours as
blown prayers lift sighs
that, mildly wisped,
doubt is undone.
Joy restores
spirit tired
cuddling
gently
Night.
----
Night
gently
cuddling
tired spirit
restores joy.
Undone is doubt,
wisped mildly, that,
sights lift prayers blown
as hours glisten stars
fragrant and calm...
quieting breaths
air sparkling -
one by one ;
rays bring
night of
Trails.

-waves-
fan their peacock tails

( LOOKED INTO YOUR EYES )
When first I looked into your eyes,
each breath became a thousand sighs.
My heart drummed out a thunder beat,
I glowed with joy from head to feet.
The hand of love had touched my soul,
as the bell of destiny began to toll.
The tide of love began to rise,
the world was filled with summer skies.
My sodden clouds of cold and grey
glowed with gold, then wisped away.
A brilliant rainbow arched across,
as waves of love began to toss.
The air was filled with lovebird cries,
when I first looked into your eyes.
When I first looked into your eyes,
all time and space were paralyzed.
And in that instant, I was shown
a universe I had never known.
I dwell there still, in Paradise,
when I look into your eyes.

He was her dance in the dark
that never got past the stroke of midnight,
both shared moon's light
yet, never did he leave
the empty corridors
in her mind
grief of days swept into years
which she could never seem to shake
heart's lonely ache
as they twirled round and round
when she closed her eyes
She wondered if his heart, like hers
was bound to that moment in time
love in its prime
torn from two; much too soon
now only memories of what was
She sat by the window, staring down the lonely drive
grey hair shaped around her face
a soft light filled the place
she held out her hand for the man she mourned for
gently he took hold and wisped her through the door
She arrived at sixteen in this home of misplaced minds
no name of which she could recall
nor who she was at all
The car wreck she was pulled from
left the driver dead
no more words were said
while she danced in the dark

somehow... or gossiped...
or distracted to Utopia's version
of cockroached virgins stained
glassy through
windows tight enough
for
what?

Lightening bolts of color frolic across the snow,
Splatter on the ground, bounce off ice crusted pond,
Heralding Icicle’s last rendezvous dance with Spring,
As soft white dove takes silent wing.
Twisted, sculptured shard of frozen translucent reflection,
Suspended from tree limb, aching to touch the ground,
Holding faithfully to flora’s naked outstretched arm,
Safe inside branches hidden from childish harm.
Feeling warm sunbeams as cool winds tickle and tease,
Glinting lights of rainbow prisms, swirling trapped within,
Slowly soften trickling, transforming its very being,
To silky liquid sunshine remodeling a Winter’s dream.
First a tear, now flowing stream, thawing and diminishing.
Born from liquid frost, a sparkling blade of ice,
Bejeweled Crystal Splinter, adorning woodland fir,
Unrivaled rainbow beauty -- a transitory lure.
Now thin shrinking sliver, reluctantly receding,
Wisped into the clouds, down into the waking pond,
Captured by earth, awaiting rebirth next Winter’s Storm,
In Nature’s first ice cascade on a chilly frosted morn.
