Whale Of A Time Poems | Examples

Premium Member if these raccoons were crows

Raccoons are in the ceiling having a whale of a time
They raided the kitchen and stole molasses and thyme
We cannot get up there, it is an enormous climb
If they were glitzy-loving crows, we could coax them down with a dime.

            As I sat ...

                   in slight immersion
              amongst a pond
                 of varied sprites

                    depth rippling tryst
                  trend simple reeds
                in distance fair

                 partitioned pure
                claimed by three
               spartans affair
                    the mere sight of me

                        sacrificed precious lamb
                     midst circle of life
                 selective attends
                  their genteel swim

                   o'er cupped fingers
               a ringless hand
                begs of pleasure
                   this glorious realm

             enriched am I
               steeply blessed
                        the rewards of privilege
                    the shallow benefits

                   their minutia smiles
            in that pond

         ... as I sat.

Premium Member It's 'Oh Fish Eel' - 'Fish N Chips' For Andrea

It CAN be ‘fish n chips’ stop carping on, there’s no plaice for rudeness!

It's so sad to see a person out of their depths and just floundering

Why is it that some people always think they're right - for the halibut!

What a load of pollocks! Oh my cod she’s crabby … Salmon call a doctor!

I'd order fries with my fish - but I'd get hooked for not calling them chips!

I've had a whale of a time casting out the bait with these fishy puns!

Stop those fishcious lines ...no debait, 'Halibut poem' is fintastic!

It’s shellfish fishing for compliments, but I write a good monoku!

This Idioms Rhyme

At the drop of the hat
Let the cat out of the bag
Beat one's head against the wall
be at someones beck and call
Keeping one's eye on the ball
have a whale of a time
Blow someone's mind
With this idioms rhyme
Be on cloud nine
as you vale your tears
then Bend your ears
fear has no colors
At an arm's length
you have a tower of strength
leave one to ones fate
head over heels
feeling all you fee

Whale of a Time - Dream Contest

I was there
There .... floating on a small fluffy cloud
Hovering over the sea
Watching the seals at play.
I could see on the horizon
The sighting of a whale
I knew the seals would be vulnerable
I tried to call out,
To wave my hands,
To warn them.

They ignored me,
The whale swam closer
Could see the mouth open.
Ready.....ready ...to swallow a few
My heart pounded
What could I do.
I jumped
Jumped from my fluffy cloud
Landed on the whales back

Not sure who was most surprised
The whale or me
Then he began to dive under the waves
Tossing me in the air
The seals seeing the commotion
Rapidly swam away

The last time he tossed me in the air
I landed on a small island
Badly battered and bruised
No food no water my fate was sealed
I lay down closed my eyes to sleep

I was awoken by a lollopy dog
Head butting me to wake up
My bed clothes were in a mess
Torn to shreds, I was sweating
Perspiration soaking through my nightclothes
Was such a real dream
What ....
who ...
was I trying to warn?
Will I ever know?

To See Or Not To See

To see or not to see

To know what you know
Needs no deep reflection as it is evident
That you stopped thinking
Being so sure, unresponsive sure
That when it hits you
What you knew was wrong
That new thinking is needed
If you are lazy just ride if and insist
You were right
Saves time
And in hundred yours whatever it was
Is forgotten.
A whale of a time
Swimming in arctic water
Oh man that is deep

The Mermaids Ball .

The mermaids ball music still lingers .

Swordfish Fred and his shoal of sweet singers

Had a whale of a time

On the octopus slime

Caressed by their salty fish-fingers .
