Simplicity

I showed a wooden pencil to a friend.
He tried to give attention
going directly to the end
of the pointed lead.
“You have to sharpen that,” he said,
analyzing quickly my waste of time.
He preferred drop-down menus
on miniscule screens
while waiting in a line.
Don't waste your
Time and energy
On negative things
And people
Why waste time pursuing desire,
when God dwells in, within?
At life’s end, all that we aspire,
is to be free from sin.
Head and heart, hand in glove,
invoke grace from above,
that we be full of love.

They search, phones held tightly, spellbound
moments parting in the background
phone screens, maybe the newest pill
Time won’t stand still, is this God’s will?
They’re seeking this life’s cutting-edge
is it their hearts and souls they’ll pledge?
from where they stand, life’s all downhill
Time won’t stand still, is this God’s will?
They know that life moves by, passing
finger on the screen, amassing
dreams lost, is life at a standstill?
Time won’t stand still, is this God’s will?
They search, phones held tightly, spellbound
Time won’t stand still, is this God’s will?
hard to understand how we got here
the kitchen clock full of greasy moments
warning to build now
everything we haven't lived yet
it's sad because all it took was one key
a damn magic password or any abracadabra
able to decipher the riddles
that prevent us from growing
and to get us out of these circumstances
lost among weird cooking recipes
miracle remedies and endless advertisements
if in the morning we could see in the mirror
less disappointment on our face...
if we got out of bed with some discipline
defying the instability of which we are full.

Consider accepting Jesus Christ today
Tomorrow might not come as they all say

Choose Him and you can go to Heaven too

God give us time don't wait till too late
He gives us choices but don't tempt fate

I put love and time in something
I, soul should have left behind
broken down from a missed kiss that couldn't, leave my mind
don't get me wrong, this is something, I don't want to forget
so I waste just a little time
and bring it out once and a while
to remember when
when, you loved, to be kissed, to be kissed by me~
just once and a while
to be kissed by me
just once and a while
when you came around, to be kissed by me~
