If Vulcan Wakes

If Vulcan Wakes (c) 2025 by The Entangled Pair

If Vulcan fully wakes again and shakes his fiery dreads
unleashing hell in all it's fury on our fearful heads
I tell you once again my friends in words of common rhyme
we perish not in watery graves but in the fires this time

can't see the forest for the trees
can't see the flame for all the fires
can't see the streamlets for the flood
can't see the needs behind desires

if I'm the fire love, you're the spark
that sets my very soul aflame
and when I dance, I dance for you
the one who knows my sacred name

as I dance naked for you now
I feel no fear, no hint of shame
just the love and joy and rapture
that my heart cannot restrain
and so I dance for you my lover
comfortably in pain

now let us burn again my love, not in fear but passion,
let the fires now forge us stronger in their molten fashion.
if this world must end in ash, in cinders or in glowing coals
then let us kiss at end of time while wading through the shoals

and as we kiss our eyes must close as we are inward gazing
because if we must fall my love, we fall together, blazing

Vulcan of Rome

l 'll sleep at his feet
l 'll bathe in his water
l'll choke in his heat
forgetting it's daughter

a pleasure boat calls
a sight seeing tour
Aeolian relax,
they fear not the facts

there's a crater above black
but wont worry me
l'll ignore all read facts
and just swim in the sea

so a sip of the wine
and then l'll fine
myth God Vulcan, Rome
i'm told, he's not home

l try not to think
if his times is to blink
that he has a lie in
as l sip on my gin

its a sight prettily
no sign hostility
but this trip to Italy
Vulcano , Sicily
.................................worries me !

Ghost of Vulcan

A world imagined
A phantom circling the sun
Veiled by her white glare
Pulling on Mercury's heels
Pulling on mankind's veiled minds

About the hypothetical planet Vulcan, which was theorised to exist as the nearest planet to the Sun in the 19th century.

Have you ever drank Vulcan ale
You’ll get the runs and turn quite pale
You’ll need a bucket for your stool
And you’ll be screaming like a fool
It’s also known as a white whale

Vesuvious, no, never!
Veins of fire Etna gives
Vulcan, god of silver,
Various gems and gold,
Vermeil tidbits of bronze~
Verrayment to adorn
Venus his bride, his joy!

Vulcan is the god of fire in Roman mythology. His Greek equivalent is the god Hephaestus.

She Is Vulcan

She is Vulcan

She is a Vulcan
Part Seductress
Part Enigma

She will lure you into her sphere
The sound of her music a trap
You’re unaware of its allure

Like a kiss that captivates your heart
Leaving you wondering is this madness
Until caught in its entanglement

You ask how did I get here
Why was I such easy prey
When will I learn

Yet again shopping around
The fractals have led you wrong
Is this self sacrifice you ponder

Led down a garden path
Betrayed by yearnings thought pure
Her crown like a shiny object reels you in

Her lipstick captivates you
Her eyes like a gravitational pull
Her horns pierce your heart

Like a cigarette burn left unattended
The wound festers like an assassin
Until it feels like a lobotomy

It is only as the poison spreads that you realize
It was all a game to bring on a revolution
Vengeance the end goal

She is an artist vying for your love
Throwing gasoline on our passion
As if struck by lightning the reverberation hits

There is a lesson to be learned
But what
And is it too late

Vulcan and His Friends

The eclectic tastes
That you possess
      Are making you lose
Touch with your roots
             High hats on
Gentleman
And a brief survey of what's going on
   Are not enough
Seek urban truths
Through a
                  kind of modern alchemy
    A long road leading to
Dizzying heights where
we
    overlook
                 the asphalt homeland
no need to wait for perfection
city lights and the dreams of the masses
are just what you need to discover
share the secrets of your soul
with the inhabitants of the "gorgeous mosaic"
