The gods are online today,
Updating their laws like software patches,
Fixing glitches in heaven while we glitch on earth,
Typing commandments no one reads,
Uploading sermons no one feels.
They scroll through prayers like spam emails,
Ignore the bleeding body in the dirt,
Reward the loudest liars,
And punish the quiet truth.
In their group chats,
They laugh at those like me —
Broken ribs, broken voice, broken trust —
Another ticket closed,
Another sinner "served."
The village bows to their screens,
Worships the edits, fears the updates,
And I,
I am just a bug in their system,
Flagged for deletion because I dared defend myself.
My innocence is offline,
My pain is offline,
Only the image matters here:
The curated guilt,
The viral shame.
The gods are online —
But none of them are listening.

Amongst the crowd, there were little jesters recently elected to their posts!
Recording and uploading posts to their social audience was a key to their political demise!
How ignorant and stupid must people be to place their job into the box of the ghost!
Careers often change with new skills and knowledge; they are not meant to be a career demise!
The young ducklings believed their mother duck would be there for them and hold their hand!
Little ducks in the tub are made of rubber, so you have no defense against an ink pen!
The only ones to hold those dirty hands are the ones involved with a criminal band!
Maybe now you will rethink your actions before the criminal courts put you into a playpen!
Running around with your buffalo hat made you an easy target!
Well, the law has placed your head on the wall as a message for everyone!
Your face is the voice of the conspiracy target!
You believed that the world was against the loser; you are the loser for everyone!
Being a fool is not a paying job; even comedians have style
Your actions are made of pure, unadulterated bile.

My mind was racing..heart was losing
When did I reach here?
How did I reach here?
Where was all that faith, hope, pride I had in my man
As my heart sank faith held on..
Hope cried for a last chance
Why don’t you leap for this special man
Mind cautioned, heart could bleed but you’re the genie in the bottle
You ain’t allowing your smiles to throttle
Cheerful mindful watchful you have always been
You have experienced the odds and unforeseen.
Let your hair down..dance with pride
Look into the eyes of Hope
Smile and remind Hope that once upon a time tears had dried.
Accept heart tried more than it could cope.
Gather the pride faith hope and all the kindness that was always yours.
People failed to understand you..understand they were never yours.

the cosmos slow maybe stop
unexpected passions flare-up
how soft to the touch this moment is
i swim in its nucleus but at a-crawl
absorb what feels like the universe
it simmers within me to a boil
immediately -uploading to my
flash drive my internal library
with hickory-shelves and -leather-bound books
with strong spines would stand the test of time
many pages with more than a few
bits and bites of past experiences
our union warm lit without a doubt a part of me
you steal my lips bound to my heart as they are
as we link our
hearts-merge
in sync we say
“so this is love”
and indeed it-is
spend the night
safely intertwined in each other’s -hold
the first moment of our lifetime shared
armand ~

Anna and I were sitting on an outdoor bench. To get some fresh air, our classes are virtual this week and we were feeling claustrophobic. I was working on a poem idea on my iPad and Anna was uploading an assignment from her laptop.
The bench is by a walkway and there were a few people passing by. I asked Anna, “What’s an alternative word for paralysis?” And three rando students walking by answer my question, in less time than Anna can even look up from her Mac.
“Tetraplegia,” says a girl on the far side of the walk - who passed us right to left - her friends laughed at her for answering my question. “Palsy,” says a guy who was passing the other way, on our side - he didn’t even look up from his phone. And last, a guy behind the girls says, “standstill.”
I just look up and smile - I love this place. Everyone’s friendly and collaborative. There’s an almost homogeneous curiosity about the world.
“Maybe I should create a sidewalk, crossword-puzzling channel on Twitch?” I ask Anna, who just shook her head, “No.”

Mere mortal body has to die, but what of mind?
Brain transplants are defeated by mortal neurons, that will all eventually age and fail.
Uploading minds to robot super computer brains, is immortality's holy grail.
For conscious mindful robot bodies can become the new mankind.
Abandoning frail mortal flesh to dust in grave, or ash in smoke, consigned.
You can replace your robot host with the latest model each year, for an image refresh and tech upscale.
Your mind downloaded from brain to computer can be uploaded, again and again, full-scale.
The mind-file then can then live forever, immortal mind to replaceable robot body, uploaded and maligned.
But what would it be like to live inside a metal box forever?
With metal arms and legs covered in fake skin, denied the thrill of flesh,
Without the sensual joys of touch and feel, of imbibing food and drink, and all other such pleasure.
Would a life immortal in a tin can be worthwhile, even with regular robot refresh?
Despite all the simulations, gadgets, fake this and that, would this really be the answer?
Or is mind so tied to mortal body that a senseless mind, immortal in computer chip, could never really mesh?

No one will admit it but
Everybody does it
Some incessantly
Other occasionally
It is inherent in humanity
Contagious opining
Contagious hypocrisy
Contagious bellicosity
Contagious idiocy
We all feel it
Contagious drudgery
Contagious fear
Contagious indifference
Contagious insensitivity
Contagious disregard for humanity
We all assume it
Contagious corruption
Contagious grasping
Contagious thievery
Contagious fiddling
We all indulge in it
Contagious surfing
Contagious tweeting
Contagious uploading
Contagious networking
Contagious befriending
We like it
Contagious rhapsody
Contagious laughter
Contagious charity
Contagious loving
Contagious honesty
We sometimes don’t acknowledge it
Contagious despondency
Contagious flam
Contagious amnesia
Contagious ignorance
Contagious psychoses
Contagious misunderstanding
We are all in this together aren’t we?

chhh-ta-cuff, chhh-ta-cuff
The train chugging back and forth
Looked out of the window.
The beautiful landscape floating by
I wish I was there in the fresh air
Aha, the train stopped at Calais station,
the engine driver has got down.
It is the time for uploading the coal
And will take more time to fire
the engine of the steam locomotive.
I saw the Towers of Canterbury.
My mind was full the Chaucerian images.
Felt peace with waters of English Channel
I heard the whistle and chhh-ta-cuff sound
I ran and running the train I got aboard.
I again I looked out of the window
And saw green meadows and willows,
the English dolls strolling by.
I put out my head out of the window
Oh, my face was dark with the soot
and my eyes aching with the grit.
I heard the sound of the engine along
Recalling the words of R.L. Stevenson
"Faster than fairies, faster than witches."

Why do I speak?
Spoken words silenced,
My human voice no longer heard.
Verbal communication obsolete!
Replaced by this small device
Whose buttons I now push
To spell out my thoughts and words
To deliver my now digital voice
Emotions sent and received
Via bits and bytes
Through the cyber space
Of our now wireless existence
Uploading and downloading our virtual desires
And deleting our unwanted emotions
Like a no longer used file.
Our need for physical human interaction
Sent with a click straight to the recycle bin
And then quickly emptied as not to be reminded
Of the reality of our own betrayal

Feeling like a lodger
In my own home
Thankful for my music
And my new found roam
Families and communities
They are just so hard to find
But in April 2009
I found the most precious kind
I found the name amusing
So the button i clicked on to see
The layout was very inviting
Like an open door should be
For in a matter of minutes
On first uploading a poem
This Highlander was content
He had found a welcome home
So many lovely writers
Poets who share their bless
No longer this Scotsman is
The Man in the Wilderness
