Premium MemberTrade War

So now it's official:
there is a trade war
between the U.S. and Canada.
Do we really know what for?

The POTUS claims it's about fentanyl
coming over the border,
but that dangerous chemical ain't exactly plentiful
coming out of my country, a land of law and order.

It's just a flimsy excuse;
a way to heap abuse and utter untruths
about a country that will not bow down
to the whims of a pathetic clown.

Sadly, in this situation
between traditionally friendly nations
there will only be tit-for-tat retaliation,
and the economic devastation
will in no way bring validation
to the asinine machinations
of the current U.S. administration.
The Pumpkinfuhrer only wants to sow devastation.
He is truly an abomination
and is now being confronted without hesitation.

His actions have certainly set a serious tone.
"America First" is about to become "America Alone".

Oppression and Free falling

Opression
Too oppressive for comfort, the proximity
Life with its array of shades, hues and shadows
Encumbered by words said and unsaid
Sentiments unspoken, muffled and silenced
Confusion vine like, slowly and surely rooting, sprouting to spread tentacles wide
Deadweights holding back the soul..too many
From floating onwards to free falling,
Like castaways, entwined and entangled by spiders, nets, not of the earthly kind
Webs carelessly conceived and constructed
An elaborate facade of untruths
All consuming darkness, of the immoderate quality,
Enthralled in its own gloominess, the absence of light, subsumed by madness
The creator and those who ceaselessly perpetuate, vacuously

Allusion Over Realism

No question is harder than this alarming dialogue
must I completely forget each joy given to me?
Fear is the adversary; it suggests I remain free:
no vision is equal to this imagination so vague!

It's a disadvantage to express beliefs that are rejected
by the masses manipulated by contrasting science, not faith;
they become invalided by bizarre minds lacking worth,
and they affect us with their derogative philosophy of creed!

When untruths are perceived as facts and truths as misconception,
we run the risk of irrationality and stand on the brink of confusion;
where's the authentic sense of reason that connects us to reality?
Be transformed by all invisible forces and you'll lose your sanity!

No prospective is clearer than the one that's ever present
and deviates us from the right course taken by old wisdom;
will we err by irrational wish, by naive reaction or foolish intent?
In this circle of extreme folly, we choose allusion over realism!

---unconscious bias

I crawl as my tongue slither back
 forth lies and untruths,
my rock heart, my mouth spews
-out disproportionately facts

represented or excluded from certain roles
my verbal statement of reform mine associations we hold
I and my friends (I mean fiends) be a sign of
---unconscious bias

Who are we as I and we snap judgments?
Assessments, who whom are I and we to past testaments
Them there whom they be negative attitude,
We in ourselves outside of self can’t let them be

Of which one is not consciously aware,
Against a specific social group none of which we I care
Eternal hatred, jealousy and slander
Why? Must I (we) inside those hearts speak aloud ill of

--Oh? What wroth,
Such a lot
Is this unconscious prejudice
Human resources do they measure this

--- Those whom internally thinking unconscious bias

President Biden is angry and hurt
as the press and his party
devalue his worth.
He's disrespected and told he's too old,
while his challenger spews untruths
yet gains in the polls and
Project 2025 slowly unfolds..
Americans want Trump so
that's what their getting,
regardless of our President
with so much more vetting.
Read Project 2025, it's
extremely upsetting..

Don't Bury Courtesy On the Political Prairie -Based on Western Ballad

Oh don’t bury courtesy
on the political Prairie.

Where politicians rant
And tell words I can’t;

Say in a crowd
or even whisper out loud.

Oh bury courtesy not on the political Prairie.

Where the politicians howl
and untruths flow free.

Oh bury courtesy not!

These words came loud and pleading
from many citizenry.

But they took no heed
those politicians breed;

And they buried courtesy,
on the political Prairie.

At the crossroads between nights and longing,
He carries within him a season forgotten,
With a liver like sodden earth, chilled beneath dead leaves,
Viscera stirred by the silvery thrill of the void,
Eyes - two awkward stars bathed in dew of venom,
Wishing to dissolve,
In the mist of a river whispering its frozen wreaths,
His soul is full of echoes and untruths,
Unable to utter the teardrop, the wildness of a wrapped cry.
He fears the solitude that swallows him.
She is made of moonlit strands and woven gleams,
Chestnut shines in her hair, delicate as the wings of the morning,
Eyes reflecting colors of unabashed skies,
On her skin stretch myths boldly painted with strokes of the sun,
Bracelets of coolness and the scent of the ocean on her bared shoulder,
And she stretches on the sand - a ray in the silence of the shore,
In the noon where constellations seem to rest.
She does not know the awkwardness of voiceless days.
She lives in a world where loneliness finds no room.

Make All Essential Moments Count

Make all essential moments count,
be the essential part of the living:
this is the promise you must make to yourself!
all generosity starts to crumble if we stop giving...
can music indicate notes without a clef,
or can an unwise guy be smart?

People will trap us into their snare,
it doesn't have to be a stranger,
it's someone we know well and trust;
keep privacy to yourself, sit back into your chair
and sort out the ones underserving of friendship,
of the sacred ideals you adhere to with a firm grip:
learn how to read faces and the untruths they declare!

Make all essential moments count,
it's an event in your calendar;
remember who lent you a hand,
praise who didn't make a demand,
imposing a will that changed your intent...
what an adverse way to provoke anger!

One less friend won't spoil anything,
if he turned out to be a fiend infuriated with envy:
how green was his face showing a contrived feeling?
Shun the evil one bloating with vanity!

Premium MemberBefore You Judge

You have judged me from lies told
Labeled me not OK
Decided to avoid me
Keep the likes of me at bay
~
You have listened to untruths
Told to many not only you
Yet in silence l remain steadfast
As to myself l stay true
~
Open your eyes and heart
See me for who l truly am
For l am not what I’ve been portrayed
I should not be unfairly damned

Premium Memberwhy do we lie?

In the shadows of the human mind,
Lies a question complex, elusive to find.
Why do we weave this deceptive art?
What compels the untruths to start?

Is it fear that drives the lies to bloom,
A shield against impending doom?
Or a desire to paint a polished view,
To hide the flaws we wish weren't true?

Do we lie to shield a fragile heart,
From the sting of truth's ruthless dart?
Or to fabricate a world so grand,
Where reality might not withstand?

Does the need to lie stem from shame,
A way to hide from judgment's flame?
Or is it born from societal demand,
Where truth might not be deemed as grand?

In the dance of words, where lies entwine,
Do we seek refuge, a sanctuary to define?
Or is it a quest for approval and affection,
A falsehood built on false perfection?

Yet, in the labyrinth of deception's snare,
Lies the risk of a truth laid bare.
For honesty, a beacon, shining bright,
Can dispel the shadows, bring forth the light.

So, let us ponder why we lie,
Asking questions that make us pry.
For in understanding the roots so deep,
We find the path to truths we keep.

Hold On To Your Humanity

Hold on to your Humanity

Living in such trying times in all these confusing events
Unsure of what is true, and what our beliefs represents
Bewildered by what we hear and what we see
Perplexed by catastrophic consequences that be

Aware of the struggles of those trying to stay alive
Wondering how we, the human race can survive
Heartbroken by the strife that some must undergo
Baffled by the enlightenment we will never know

Confused by misinformation, leading to such lies
Unsettling way of what these untruths truly implies
As we lose our ability to see these tragedies unfold
We close our eyes to the injustice having a stranglehold

When the denial of choices lead to such a calamity
When the fabric of life is somehow lost within vanity
When you shed a tear to all of this confusing insanity
When you know it’s time to hold on to your humanity

Premium MemberScreen of Awareness

these events and thoughts pass all over me,
like insects on a fluorescent screen,
a glitter, a moment, flicker of time,
a lifetime to travel in social slime!

memories are made, memories erased,
on the brain slate of nerves, bemused and dazed,
writer is unseen, the chalk doesn’t screech,
my story unfolds and fate? out of reach!

many voices come through, somewhere from dark,
no faces to see, no glimmer, no spark,
my eyes are shut but my mind is awake,
soul records my spiritual uptake!

I am but a blank white sheet on time’s book,
million pages may not get a second look,
I am imprinted with what hand writes on me,
what generations may read, I let be!

a world of illusions, world of untruths,
from our birth to old age through erring youth,
in this ignorance is silent wisdom,
seeking eternal truth, yearning freedom!

Lost

Lost
I’ve lost her again.
It isn’t the first time.
Previously though her preference was not to be found.
Hiding. Obscuring.
Not to be exposed, camouflaged from the truth.
But it’s different now, inevitability, vulnerability, has smothered belligerence, stubbornness, meanness.
The untruths revealed, opened, unshackled.
The mask has slipped from its skeletal face revealing a past of explanation, excuse, error.
But still as I hold her hand, support, escort, her resistance remains.
Aware I know but unaware who I am, or was, or will be.
Secrets revealed but forever concealed.
Pushing the weight of guilt uphill to the end.
Clear of the pain of lost love.
Free from the choices.
Silent.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.

  Spoken said
Verbalized declared enunciated
Given aired voiced
Brought out whispered
Proclaimed commented
Blurted breathed broadcasted

SPOKEN

Asserted affirmed promulgated
Spoken truths and untruths
Advertised where am I to be casted
Publicized overwhelmed subdued demoralized

BROKEN

Talked discussed uttered thrown up despaired
Vented broadcast gasped phrased up and out
Broken
 Snarled shot ripped (out)
Silently diverted screams of dispersions’
Vocalized shouted articulated denounced

SPOKEN

Shared passed announced Be it so,
Spoken is the broken speech at naught
Alleged ventilated averred formulated
Drawled avowed
Doubted Be it so, spoken is the broken

BROKEN

Vocalized shouted articulated denounced
Shared passed announced
Be it so, spoken is the broken speech at naught
Broken is Spoken
Quiet marks the spot

Out of Melancholia

Drooping pen said “enough of melancholia”
Spread words of cheer, like sweet smelling magnolia
Vowed never again to write of misery
So fished for words in diction’s fishery
Who would become the inspiring muse
Some clever thought or inspiring ruse
Up came blondie Donald duck
America’s ex-president, my potluck
A failed businessman turned slick politician
Pulled wool over the eyes like a crafty magician
A moving hyperbole of lies and untruths
Never to be forgotten in America's history books
