Terra Incognita

Putting out fires not of my making
it's time-consuming heart-breaking
the grass over there don't seem any greener
and from my perspective the streets are meaner
the so-called social networks are as unsociable as can be
impersonal with dirty laundry on show for everyone to see
despite self-admitted wrong-doing and misdeeds
the herd still follows their every lead
but I won't borrow sorrow
and be overwhelmed by the troubles of others
doing my best making the most
if it's not one thing it's another
and then sometimes it's both
feels like the world has gone to hell
with nary a handbasket to carry us there
and I'm at the bottom of a deep dank well
is the world spiralling out of control
while I'm abandoned here in a drear dark hole

A rhino's eyesight is really myopic,
Perhaps that's what makes him so misanthropic.
His hearing and reflexes, though, are sublime,
He can turn on a nickel and stop on a dime.
The projection that grows
On the end of his nose
Is not really a horn, though,
As one might suppose.
And when he needs scratching,
There's another small hitch,
His legs are too short
So he can't reach the itch.
He's ugly, pugnacious,
Rude, and unsociable,
And his manners at mealtime
Are simply atrociable.
And should you insult him,
He'll never reveal it.
His hide is so thick
He prob'ly won't even feel it.

Unsociable Media

Everyday we get more dependant
Reducing our span of attention
Rendering us less independant
Diminishing our skill of retention.

Like this, like that
Me.. Me.. meme.. Me
View this, watch that
We’re all on TV!

Obsession regression
Responsibilities admonished
Overuse of powerful words
No one truly is astonished.

You ate a meal, well good for you!
You’ve cash for food and phone,
Take a photo, tell the world
What right have you to moan?

Attention seek, “Just don’t ask!”
Think I’m falling for that?
Like me! Like me! Desperate sad
Pleas that all fall flat.

Tech to make things simpler still
Swipe left, swipe right, unfollow.
Offence is taken in a keystroke
Fake friendship - promises hollow

Scan the code to know it all
Constant information,
Screenshot, bookmarks, save for later,
Constant life narration.

We’re overwhelmed to know it all
To friend each glancing stranger,
This hunger for what seems progression
Is clear and present danger.

Seeds were sown on fertile soil while
SOME FELL upon STONEY GROUND

(This is a poem about one of the latter)

Oh affluent lady in smart design
Scurrying to Tim’s bar to taste of wine
But one and all can see beneath the paint
Scars that pay heed to a lost soul so taint.
Consumption foremost doth addle her mind
When desperate to track a daily grind
Eyes witness testament of her flurry
A lustful grin contrives her to hurry.
With a shaking hand crystal flute to raise
Each sup hallelujah in silent praise
An embarrassing glance though not a care
Her inner most pain bared for all to share.
Hastily she consumes her liquid meal
Her body pulsates unable to heal
A repetitive shot needed to please
No unsociable craving to be ease.
Silver Jag’s outside all bright and gleaming
She fights with the keys her body screaming
A need to be alone and get away
So she can measure the rest of the day.

The Creation and the Riddle

Human Beings In the image and likeness of the Creator
Now the nature of being Creator is eternal,
and ephemeral the nature of men
moving in the movement of the diverse.

Men are like riddles
Without wings, they can fly up to the sky and they are the repository of knowledge.
equal in number to the stars,
but they don't shine at night.
Unpredictable although they constantly seek that brilliance invoking the help of gods and goddesses,
mute idols of clay by the way

Mere Human Beings In the image and likeness of the Creator-
Men, if the created copy agrees with the original
so that each one of them reaches the highest perfection
the copy must become an ally not only of perfections but of various pleasures and satisfactions.
Man cannot see the reluctant and unsociable nature of the other in himself, neither the defects nor the lack of understanding.

So ... the original or the copy. What is finally the most authentic?
Until the end of time, Creation and The Riddle will remain

Humanity

Fret for humanity is not at all new-
Hope for mankind is not at all less.
Everybody expect others to be lenient;
But proves himself an unsociable.

Humans for humans;
Proves indeed in need.
Where gone all those philosophies;
Mentioned in myths.

Man is an optimist,
Brave as well as Pragmatic.
How can we forget those heroes;
Freedom fighters who lost their lives.

Become kind-hearted enough,
Remain servant of God.
Till grave serve for mankind;
Afterlife it means a lot.

Friend

It has been a while since he called
And I miss him deeply
Long to hear his voice
His casual remarks on how unsociable I am

I miss him dearly
We weren’t thick as thieves
But we did share an easy laugh
Comfortable silent and idle chit chat

I long for the days when business brought us together
Days when he was no more than a stroll away
Days when we chatted, sitting side by side
And I marvelled at the easy way he lives his life freely

I wish he calls more
I wish my wounded ego will heal
From missed called unreturned
And hope that pride won’t stop me from calling him

Never properly learned the etiquette of friendship
As a child, I often wandered and played alone
Teenage years weren’t much different
Now I wonder, why should adulthood be any different?

But still I miss him
Missing the company we once shared
The easy way we chit chat idly
The feeling of knowing I am his friend

I truly miss you
And I have no doubt that we are still friend
No doubt whatsoever
But I just wished that we are thick as thieves

Heart of Stone

Some time ago I met a man
That lived in an ancient land
He resided in a castle.
Away from everyone,
That could turn his heart into stone.

Some say he was unsociable,
Others that he was lone.
Just because he lived all alone.

He had his heart broken so many times,
By those he loved the most.
But the truth is,
He was just a man,
protecting his heart,
from turning into stone.

(THE TAKANINI VERSION II)
(SIP THE WINE)

Oh affluent lady looking so fine,
hurrying scurrying for thy taste of wine,
but one can see beneath the paint,
the scars that behold you of late.

Consumption foremost is on your mind,
just to taste the fruit of the vine,
your eyes show testament of your worry,
this only giving fuel to your hurry.

With shaking hand your flagon to fill,
every drop of value when paying the bill,
an embarrassing glance though not a care,
your pains deep down I feel and share.

A hasty retreat your meal well hidden,
forbearance in mind will be forbidden,
a quick shot is needed just to please,
your unsociable craving to be eased.

The Jag’s outside all bright and gleaming,
her fight with the keys the body screaming,
she just wants out and away,
so she can measure the rest of the day.

Unmanly

Unmanly; unsightly; unskilled
Unsociable; unsophisticated
Jerk; unruly
And hurt and bruised
Unmanly; unsound
But, unselfish in unseasonable weather
Of warmth, sky clear
Unmistakably; unlikely
Too be unusually calm
In a untouchable manor
And then-unmanly; unruly; jerk.

Old Man

An unsociable, ill bred, unrefined man.
And his captious, callous, long-suffering, old spirit.
Cadaverous and frail amidst the morning walk of thier land.
Wheezing from the years of cylinder embers burnt in hand.

His quivering digits, gesturing openly to his coat pocket.
As he stops to gaze and take in, the wide open grand.
He pulls out a letter, kept in form by a dark green signet.
And now slowly he begins to unroll the leaflet.

Replaced by the paper now, are the open fields.
His hazel brown eyes, entranced by the letter held so dear.
Its now captured him, as a poem hes revealed,
and his face remarks a wound unhealed.

Brother, have i done wrong?
Am i supposed to feel strong?
Your pendulum stopped by my own hands.
Brother have i done wrong?
Am i supposed to feel strong?
For now im alone, to wonder these lands.
Brother, have i done wrong?

The brightness of the grand now lyes on the mans eyes.
Clouded, blurry, teard up sky, a floating feeling of lost goodbyes.
Now tendered from emotion, there he stood.
To live in the day his brother died.

Just a Piece of Meat

Ignorance devises us
Makes us look different
We forget who we are
Our existences and connections
We don’t talk about life but money
Union but daily fighting
Reunion but disconnection
We believe that we are different
While using the same oxygen
We don’t know our future
Without oxygen, we become unsociable
We differ ourselves just
By colors, knowledge and languages
But never be sure about our future
We are nothing than a piece of meat
Oxygen is just one connection for all
Maintaining by only one master
If it is gone for a minute, we all die
We are just a piece of meat
It’s time for reunion and rethink
We must not kill and discriminate
But to be at all time one
We are part of the same network
We have the same mission
We lead and create by the same master
If the network is down for a minute,
We become a piece of smelling meat.

Why...?

Why is the sky blue?
Why is the house so brown?
Why is it important who it's from, not who it's to?
Why is everyone stuck in a frown?

Why are we all here?
Why do we question everything and nothing?
Why is everyone to conseeded in their fear?
Why is the blood water rushing?

Why is this life so demanding?
Why is this need so unnegotiable?
Why is this pain still standing?
Why is this destiny so unsociable?
