I wish
I were a cold, cold lifeless stone
when crushed by a careless trudging foot
no pain bemoans.
I wish
I were a nebulous cloud
the playful wind bungles round around
now lady-like floats
then ghost-like bloats
unharmed by its might.
I wish
I were a massive cathedral
where life's grandeur and puniness
unfold
tangle up
and blend
that stands on unimpressed and uninvolved.
I wish
I could run away from the claws
of unending pain and conflict
then easy it would be!
But what are these gifts for
of heart
and mind
and love?
If there would be...
no glow at sunrise?
no thrill at the call of the beloved?
no ecstasy at the birth of a child?
no rapture at success?
no bliss at the dawn of truth?
no aches and pains?
no agonies and poignant torture of loneliness?
I wish
I knew what there is to gain by being human
When the clouds have vanished
I wish to know, and sure am I
I'd still wish to be human,
.............even pay the price.

She spoke surly
knowing both sides of the story
my side had been spoken for me
I did not look good or sporting
this is why she didn’t support me
I asked her what do you know
She told me she knew it so
Knowing how the story go
Arguing the facts I’d show
I asked her why she think she know this
haven’t heard my side and not a witness
why argue every point I list
I know your presence was a miss
but she insisted she knew both sides
I’m like how when you ain’t heard mine
she’d heard my side from the other person
surprisingly I came out the worst one
I explained both sides means two versions
From both involved not just the first one
She asked why claiming that’s not true
because both tell it to win over you
You heard one side where I looked bad
believing it without asking back
Now go away you’re not involved
You’ll never hear my side be told
God the people I put up with
Go away you stupid muppet

another fruitless day
alas, a buck unearned
uninvolved in the fray
nary a lesson learned
o time, where hast thou gone
where's the spring of my life
whence lovers embraced none
daily struggling in the strife
where, the hours in their haste
have transpired unbeknown
o, the chatter, what a waste
mindly doings of my own
seeking every worldly pleasure
as fleeting as they did turn
wasted o, that divine treasure
youth, begone, not to return
now as I become senile
my soul still youthful and bold
wishes it had seen the Nile,
the Seine, overseas lovers untold
an old man full of remorses
little wisdom, hardly lore
still battling the wild horses
fighter, warrior evermore
for when i stared at the roses
sadly saw with great dismay
how quickly life decomposes
how short is the month of may
then i failed to recognize
that time waits for no man
old age hasn't made me wise
perhaps. when i pass it can

The voice that commanded us
Admonished us and rebuked
Is so feeble
The arms that comforted us
Now need to be comforted
The gait is not straight
Needs a walker for support
Where is all that poise!
Unable to speak
Only your eyes do the job
They speak for you
All of us surround you
For you to be a part
But you stay uninvolved and apart
Know not what's
Going on in your mind
You speak not
Cant see you like this
Your old self we miss
Don't give up so soon
His grace will come soon

Voting
By Franklin Price
6/30/2015
Voting is the best of ways
to say what's on your mind.
If you don't go to the polls,
what you have is what you find.
A government elected
not by majority,
but by the few who turned out,
sounds like a joke to me;
I can understand the reasons,
why the turnouts are so small,
with the choices we are given,
why go there to vote at all?
We must ask ourselves the questions:
Did I really do my part?
Did I help to choose who's running?
Did I contribute from the start?
Did I hammer up the posters?
Did I spread the word about my choice?
Did I tell anyone that matters?
Did I let them hear my voice?
Did I let the rich choose for me?
Did I put up a decent fight?
There's much more to it than voting,
can be a part, it is your right
Continue to be uninvolved.
Go to the polls or not.
Keep traveling, on the road we're on,
and what you see is what you got.

REMEMBER
My love. Find your strength,
Brave enough to bleed away weeks out of days.
Falling apart on empty lonesome nights.
Waiting for her to speak
Sun warming rays, doomed from my start.
Fell into your fights. Never RESET. (change modes.)
Someday I must learn the difference between stupid and smart.
Protest all you want
I remain uninvolved (can't decrypt the secret code)
In your: Plights and Plots
Forget the fights, and the loss.
Remember to love;
Everyone and thing that to you,
Means a lot.
But what do I got?
To show for friendship or love?
(More of this or not enough of)
SOURED in-utero Tainted memory
WORTHLESS SOUVENIR
From scab to scar, without a second thought.
Preoccupied - Empowered to know what's true.
What not to Fear. Tainted memory,
Enslaved to lifestyles. Poisonous Chemistry
Much like your whorish contagious mystery.
A scarred arm, a scarlet letter Souvenir.

May you gently tender whatever surrounding you
As your mother tenders you
May you generously give whoever in want
As you are given by beloved ones
May you patiently enlighten whoever innocently unaware
As you are clearly enlightened by reverend mentors
May you bountifully assist whoever helpless
As you are secretly assisted by unknown people
May you wisely share the happiness with whoever never met before
As you are well hospitalized by every warm but uninvited party
May you thoughtfully apportion the sorrow with whoever mourning
As you are wholeheartedly comforted by uninvolved others
May you always fill in others' shoes
As others tolerate you
May you always know the stamina
As Sun never fails to rise
May you always known the docility
As timely rain damps the thirsty soil
May you always know the truth
Suffer as people suffer
Enjoy as people enjoy
May you always know the best time
To be strong
To be mild
To be firm
To be acceptive
Above all
May you always know
The one
You should always extend your gratitude to

Career in crisis
Starlets arrested
Stupidity attracts
Media attention.
I used to read the news
And watch TV
Now I skim the ads
And close my eyes
Because I know
Everyone is someone else’s fool.
Iraq is burning
Politicians debate
Young solders die
And citizens go about
Their lives
Unconnected
Uninvolved
In a dead end war.
Medical care
Force the old
To choose between
Living or surviving
And the young
Struggle to save
As jobs fade overseas
If life and memory
Are the glue that holds us together
Then how did we ever forget
The lessons from past generations?

A family unit
Life long question
Disregard, a norm
Unconditional, nonexistent
Self-esteem, stifled
Integrity, love?
Please elucidate.
Meager guidance
Rebellious, self-destructive
Ire & lost
Brought Angels of revision.
Sequence interrupted
Anger, selfishness depleated
Former entities
Uninvolved in revolution
Ratification?
Only repudation.
Continuous exertion
Acknowledgment anticipated
Disillusion
Weary heart
Long impending conciousness...
* Love does not derive from strenuous expeditions of the heart,
it exists to ease the soul, exertion to achieve is a futile road.
Love prevails in life, abundant in true souls around me*
Mold is broken
Wounded core
No longer inadequate
Tranquility reigns.

Said to have been the birthplace of man
a sacred place of mystery
Where ethnics inhabited its land
since the beginning of history
Beating drums and rhythmic flames
would echo beating heart
Where man, beast and lushes plains
formed an ongoing work of art
Life was simple, uninvolved
We had problems that were our own
but those were easily resolved
It’s the only thing we’ve ever known
Respect for self, land and creatures
our elders made us vow
Blood that flowed had healing features
entwined with the earth somehow
With men that came and times that changed
so did standards of living
Our bonds with the gods became estranged
and they were unforgiving
With famine, aids & poverty
while others who parade in suits
give little help, but all their pity
Birthplace disowned or forgotten roots?
One thing I came to realize
that most others don’t see
If they were gonna shut their eyes
Why didn’t they let us be?
Second world countries are unknown
while the rest of the world embark
on enlightened journeys, we alone
must bear our burdens in the dark
