Apart

The voice that commanded us
Admonished us and rebuked
Is so feeble
The arms that comforted us
Now need to be comforted
The gait is not straight
Needs a walker for support
Where is all that poise!
Unable to speak
Only your eyes do the job
They speak for you
All of us surround you
For you to be a part
But you stay uninvolved and apart
Know not what's
Going on in your mind
You speak not
Cant see you like this
Your old self we miss
Don't give up so soon
His grace will come soon

Good poem, Bawa. : ) With your words you truly paint a picture.

It's so hard to see our loved ones become elderly and their abilities diminish... this touches me deeply as I am caring for elderly parents now. very well done.
