Something's Wrong

Career in crisis
Starlets arrested
Stupidity attracts
Media attention.

I used to read the news
And watch TV
Now I skim the ads
And close my eyes
Because I know
Everyone is someone else’s fool.

Iraq is burning
Politicians debate
Young solders die
And citizens go about
Their lives
Unconnected
Uninvolved
In a dead end war.

Medical care
Force the old
To choose between
Living or surviving
And the young
Struggle to save
As jobs fade overseas

If life and memory
Are the glue that holds us together
Then how did we ever forget
The lessons from past generations?

Liberals have decided to share the wealth (NOT THEIRS). They want to make sure those who won't work for a living can have an equal lifestyle to those who will. We need to help those who can't but this is ridiculous. We had large families with little income, but Dad and Mom were responsible for raising them not their UNCLE SAM. Today, mass reproducing is lucrative without any visible means of support except for Tax dollars for good old Uncle Sam. Vince
