Premium MemberOver the Town by Marc Chagall

Peril looms yet the artist shows a relaxed state over the city.

Looked back from whence they came, escaping, unfollowed, over the city.

Solitude no more, she’s his prize to carry off over the city.

Im Like an Instant Pot

I’M LIKE AN INSTANT POT

I’m like an Instant Pot.

We’re both big and bold.
Heavier than we should be
Fussier than we need be
Neither of us should ever
Sit on the kitchen counter
When not in use.

Our metallic armor,
Fitted seamlessly,
tight and wide around the waist
Hard to keep that much armor shiny
So I don’t try to very often.

We each have different
temperatures,
we operate that way.?Different temperatures
deliver variable output

We both even hiss!
,
Beware the danger of getting it wrong,
Pushing the wrong button,
For it is the user who chooses
How far to turn the knob
How much heat to Render,
For success and bounty
As a temp too great or too small could
Ruin inside us, each.

Operate us incorrectly and we’ll
Explode all over you

When guidelines are taken
Seriously,
Pamphlets and fine print read,
we can both be tricky about
Unfollowed rules.
When you don’t know our laws
Of operation
Our innards could easily
turn to mush
Unrecognizable, inedible,
Salty.

Be reluctant to turn the knob too much.

Leave Me Alone

Leave Me Alone

And with every
twitch I can
conjure your
posture in the
corner.
The space
between your
height and
the floor
I lie on.
Twisting into
the carpet.

Rain hurts but bleeds my dreams of your shoulder under my chin. Pressure, holding fabric between your
hands. I would stick my fist down my throat to hear you say it again.

Taking sips in the morning to
feel your arm rested on mine in
green and blue and purple.
Your steps ahead choke, your
gaps in retention.

And for
that I am
empty.
I am shallow.
Promises I make
to my pillow
go unfollowed
and your position
will be found in
every faceless
body on the street.

Premium MemberThe Unbroken

There are many broken roads set forth upon our path
Shattered from dreams unfollowed, or maybe a former lover’s wrath

We’re birthed from sleepless nights and pain that takes its toll
From a darkness that hides in the recessed corners of every soul

Life surrounds us with beauty, it comes and then it goes
A gift of youth borrowed, then with time our age finally shows

Many hearts will sink, left bloodied and forever bruised
Love is a gift that heals, but at times can leave us confused

Some will find shelter and hide what others seek
They will fortify their walls, leery of turning the other cheek

We must reach out in the night and help them disembark
In order to reach the light, we must first endure the dark

Let’s all stick together, help each other and be outspoken
I know we’re only human, but collectively, we’ll remain unbroken

Premium MemberI Was Finding My Goodness At Twenty

I was shy at twenty, afraid to look in mirrors,
Scared of what I saw.
I remember the first time I looked in one and saw that I was pretty.
I gasped, and it frightened me.
I felt proud and ashamed.

I am so beyond that now,
feeding my muse with happy antidotes,
flinging poetry and art onto canvases, confident
I am doing so well it might embarrass another, not me.

I was hesitant when I was twenty,
Careful to not alienate anyone,
Never using a swear word,
Hoping everyone would like me.

I have fifteen hundred facebook friends now.
I had eighteen hundred, but I de-friended three hundred of them.
Unfriended them, unfollowed them, and loved every second of it.
Knowing now the only opinion I care about is mine.

Today I thoroughly approve of the "me" I have created.
Trixie my muse is my pirate queen.
We take no prisoners now, and make no apologizes.
When the phone rings we laugh -slaves, and minions to no one.
Mirrors make us happy.

Do Not Allow

Discrimination dictate who you are
Obstacles become a distraction
Enemies become your inner circle
Victory be a failure

Dreams to become a door mat
Skills to become a wrapped gift
Goals to become unachievable
Change to become a middle man

Opportunities to go unfollowed
Growth to become a stumbling block
Instincts to be left unused
The heart to become an unfeeling vessel

Premium MemberHeartfire

Winter warms me.

It’s not the fire
or the quiet cat on lap.
It’s certainly not,
the harried, hurried holidays.

The shroud of
same-making snow
    (the compost pile is the car;
      the tree stump is the berry bush;
the woodshed is the forsythia patch)
is how echoes come to rest.

The words of seasons go
unfollowed by commentary.

                             ou c
Sounds no longer b n e.

A thought leads not to thought.

Wet boots,
tea mug warm in palm,
sun so low,
the song of snow
(sung sans echo),
is the cessation meditation
sought by seekers
all long year.

Things Explained

Broken heart cracked , as i took my last breath , no one beside me alone again .

i sank knives surrounded me? spun out , no way out , of the desired heartt that followed faith in times of the bad mean filthy snake that made adam and eve take that naughty bite.
that's were it all striked.

Forgive me lord . i am me. surrounded by some of life's most ungrateful broken letdown roads that lead me to the hidden path of dizzy sorrow.

Hidden in dark i saw everything in my shadows running from that loud under ground train , if i had stoped to think , .

Spirited soul behold you have the big key i need to unhollow, this broken city of unfollowed dreams .

You must help me lead rightnouess together forever no longer we hide .

We lead the lost into our holy secret place to find themselfs before it was to late .

Jesus save's them today please promise you will never leave us alone .

Hand by heart we all stand together as one big dream of faith also hope

Unfollowed Advice

Has the fire in your dreams burned dim
And light that they cast, fluttered out?
Are you living your life by whim,
Irresolute, dying from doubt?

Then recover yourself once more
In the face of a friend made new,
Sing a song to some children, or
Whatever frees you from you.
