Jovially, you approach life, with jokes to share.
Optimistically, you view obstacles as opportunities.
Sacrificially, you ensure safety for loved ones' care.
Honorably, you'd rather do what's right than appease.
Understandingly, you unfold patient behavior.
Admirably, you exhibit traits of a savior.
For my dear husband.
His name means "Yahweh is Saviour" or "to save."
He has saved my life.

Language of love speaks when no language does;
Utters words caged by the heart;
Express love to loved ones.
The language of truth and trust.
It can be percept by the blinds-
Perceive by the deaf and articulate by the dumbs.
The special language of His creatures:
Dwells in mother earth, dwells in human nature.
Nightmares will be the fear, hatred will be the hate,
But the ears bends down, the tail wags on-
When one understandingly speaks with love.

She understands me!
Peacefully smiles knowingly as I write poetry,
Touching my hand like a feather,moving me forever.
A smile, ever-present and sweet,
Looking up at me, understandingly.
Her green eyes wink, "I understand."
She is my forever,
Cat.

I break everything I touch;
At first seemingly simple-
But soon too much,
For my games are so nimble.
My feelings out of reach-
always too far to touch.
And not made known through speech;
I am an observer-
I keep my distance;
I am not a conformer-
And at times lack resistance.
I speak my words carefully,
I am a reformer-
And I shall go about it tastefully,
Though always be straightforward.
If you paid slight attention,
You'd notice need for a contravention;
Morality has gone astray-
Long Lost in comprehension;
I hold true to mine today.
Why when we speak do we do so
condescendingly-
Instead of understandingly?
It's honestly trifling.
Although to late for prevention-
If nothing else, help ease the tension;
Perhaps we could find ourselves some
redemption.
For not only what we speak-
But also what we fail to mention.

Seamlessly out of reach,
Coming to a grasp,
Then just to leach,
To lay down,
A hand brushing out over these blades of grass,
Touching, is it not?
That he may find her,
Such formlessness,
When will the time come?
Oh, the times there were,
Though the times that may,
Like cogs in a machine turning endlessly within this brain,
Clouding the path, the dreams,
Clouding all that could be,
Clouding this life, this sight, so you may be a passer-by,
A wish for you to be near,
To spend the cold of the night within the comfort of your warmth,
Lonely is the dark, ill-illuminated cage of my heart,
So frightening at times, yet so understandingly comforting amongst others,
So starts the spread of delusion, of fright, and of fear,
To be happy for,
What a joke! Harder than to pass through the iron maiden that is the guard to these thoughts,
As the selfishness grows,
And the jealousy ensues,
No anger, but calming waves of sorrow,
Setting in as it swallows whole,
Stretching out the hand,
A hope that continues,
To crash yet again,
To stand back up,
And continue the trend,
Wondering, when shall it all end?

so i run very quickly out of there
as i usually do whenever things get me a little unglued
like a child learning how to swing
even that so pleasurable that it can't be explained
starts like everything else...very frightening
so i wondered on what to do,
go back in, wave ,say oops these things are like loops
wait for everyone to smile understandingly
welcome me with open arms
wearing those smiles we all like...rainbow sized
so i am stuck in the future of my yesterday
contemplating in my present in the past
that which might become the present of my tomorrow
lead me into yet another today stuck
in the future in the past, a present in yesterday

I Leaped
By Dane Smith-Johnsen
Saw my life indisputably clinging to a past night.
Saw my hopes fall downward, as my heart lay broken.
Ripped asunder like petals of a buttercup, strewn.
Vanished with the wind.
Saw my dreams undeniably showing in the moonlight.
Saw my mind rebounding and life’s paths ricochet.
Turned, I, somewhere to a place that in God I knew not.
Lost in the landscape.
Saw my soul distinctly crying, dying without insight.
Saw my lone self-sinking in a crest’s avalanche.
Plunging quickly as a geyser whose power lost might.
Steaming with duty.
Saw my Father understandingly reach down from above.
Felt the strength of loving as He held out His hand.
Leaped I safely to the bosom of His arms that day.
Praying, by faith, home.
