We are Unburdened
Make note of my last respects
Two men left to die

Smiles and positivity
Makes the weight of an elephant
Feel lighter than an ant.
With our minds unburdened
And hearts free,
We can fly away
And experience freedom

She carried her hurts like a bag full of rocks
and named it her hard knocks box..
It grew heavier and heavier as she traveled
to and fro so one sunny day, she let them all go...
Now she ambles lightly, at a much easier pace,
without her rocks, there's room for grace

Clicking latch
of the evening door
boot tracks through
fallen feathers,
crows adorn the eaves
little ebon stomachs
growling.
“I don’t have any seeds
on me right now”
Bird’s beady eyes
cut through camouflage–
now crows adorn
my shoulders
pecking at my ears,
my eyes, my heavy heart.
With outstretched arms
still as statuary
I stand like a scarecrow
in fallow fields
and am stripped bare.
The murder flies
away with strips
of my fear,
chunks of grief,
little worms of loss
and I pull my collar
back up and walk inside
unburdened.

UNBURDENED
One of the most persistent problems we seem to have
Are anxiety and stress, disquieting apprehension & fear
God commands us be strong, courageous, valiantly brave
Scripture exhorts not to be anxious—do we listen or hear?
Why is He concerned with this apprehension and burden?
It cripples us from God and enjoying His huge Omnipresence
His primary concern is expressing Himself –making certain
Verbally demonstrating kindness--our unburdened essence
An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up
Proverbs 12:25
