Its Gleaming Light-Beams Washing My Old Soul

So sad about some far-off hidden things
That are not my business, no not me
Washing these feet in such soothing hot springs
No not I, nosey as a damn ole busy bee!

Along the mountains, its jutting ridges
I walk admiring that fabulous star
Cross I the famous great seven bridges
This heart yet blinded wondering where we are!

Its gleaming light-beams washing my old soul
Saw evening as it slowly crept in
My worries stabbed me taking their deep toll
I a warrior but heavy are my sins!

There walked with majesty, the black-maned boar.
Snout rutting the ground, to find its next score!

Loki's Lament and Curse Part 4 By Thomas Laufey

Odin:
The crimes of the father
Reach out to the son you yourself has agreed to that
Old as you are.
Loki:
Then you Odin are truly cursed
Even more so than me
And I had never agreed to that when it came
To any of the aesir, vanir or jotun.
Unless we were in a time of war.
And Thor and Vidar will inherit
The burden of those transgressions
Soon I shall be free Odin and when I am
The worlds will tremble and burn with my wrath
For the deaths of my children
From the betrayal of the aesir and vanir
Against the clans of Laufey and Farbauti and Muspelheim
For you odin and tyr for imprisoning me
Hast made an enemy of their king,Surtr.
And the ship of nails, will be the first sign odin
When the ship is spotted on the sea free of its mooring, my Chains will break
At the same time the fetters of my son fenrir shall shatter.
Then your doom and the doom of aesir is nigh.
For i am the firestorm, the breaker of worlds, the sly god,
The father of monsters and the flame dancer

In My Dreams Of Death

In my dreams of death, my desires create
not a bright, merciful angel there brought.
Dread of death instills fears that permeate
this tired mind and dark trap in which its caught.
Alas! No waking wisdom can there sway
lost soul to embrace blessed saving light.
For power of night's dark defeats bright day
as black shadows rage forth to slash and bite.
Battle starts, alone with two empty hands
night-fear bellows out, you have no power.
Look at these massive monsters night commands
while you cowardly beg dawn's coming hour!

In my dreams of death, my desires create
not a bright, merciful angel there brought.

    Robert J. Lindley, ( aka- Tyr), 10-29-2016

Note- Written and offered in the spirit of the Halloween season and with my admiration of the greatest dark poetry ever written--that of Edgar Allen Poe.

Hear My Sweet Dreams

Hold your dreams tight!
In your sight then
Each night sleep there.

Dream on with glee!
You hold me thus
Lets be with care.

Under pale blue moon
Love blooms soon show
in rooms quite fair.

Velvet touch spreads!
On soft beds slept
Love weds our pair.

I think your kiss
Each I miss now
A remised share.

Hear my sweet dreams
We ride streams down
Fire steams our pair!

Added end rhyme as a bonus.....third verse each stanza..
there, care, fair, pair, share, pair .

A Shining Forest Princess My Heart Made

While walking in heaven's forest garden
a wanderer within this magic realm.
Sought mystical views to grant a pardon
resting, found her underneath a witch elm.

Deep in my enchantment I found her there
sweetest vision passing into my view.
She, mythical creature gracing the air
as if my longing mind brought her on cue!

Needing a partner for her pas de deux
she beseeching me to give her my aid.
Thus began my forest dancing debut
with a beautiful goddess my mind made.

Dance over, this vision bid sweet adieu.
I wonder, was it a dream or love true?

So I Write , A Reply

Dare we share this moment, these words , poetic verse tonight?
faithful singers on universal prose connected stages
Allowing our respective hearts to bleed and inspiringly write
placing comfort and gaining solace instead of human rages
gifting kindness and joy , gentle in spirit of sharing

Twisting balloons filled with love, joy and gifts written
waiting to be gathered by eager waiting hands
Of gentler spirits that hear the call and simply obey
sing, sing the tune that flavors your generous heart
sling down the words bringing poets together rather than apart

Dare we pierce our hearts to so stain the precious gift?
faithfully stirring our souls to wrap the world
Stand in place and enjoy the majesty of gifted golden words
fire the ovens of laughter and mirth to bake delight
think, give , joy and write, write this very night

                             Cool Nights Asparkin' Sally Ann

Hard days work completed , done my best

driving home on Saturday for a short rest

Later a quick shower and a bite to eat

off to town for a sweet and tender treat

No time now to spend money on my Sally Ann

Got myself a deliberate and fantastic saving plan

No time for the boys nor to drink down by the levee

Saving my greenbacks to buy that 57 Chevy

When that beautiful car belongs to me

Going to drive here bouts for all to see

Me and my gal riding in my bright blue car

to the drive in or my favorite honkytonk bar

If that doesn't give her a thrill

we'll go sparkin' again back of Judd hill

got a clever plan you should rightly know

complete with diamond rings to brightly show

Gonna' make that pretty gal my wife

settle down to a farmer's life

Children we will be a practicin' and growin'

Then the car won't be only thing I'll be proudly showin' .;) , Z.. -Tyr

Nature's Harvested Bounty

Deep and dark are the thick , tall forested hills
where swift icy streams send cold crossing chills
Thinning out where the trees meet the grassy meadows and fields
hunters reap the harvest that nature so bountifully yields

An early morning hunt that provided food for hearth and home
gathered with weapons in hands as hunters ever so quietly roam
Nature reluctantly gives up it's great living treasure
as grateful families thank God for gifts beyond measure.

Home before noon to have newly cooked meals
Satisfied and amply fed , pure bliss is how it feels
Early afternoon nap to renew those hardy spirits
nature whispers inspirations, can you hear it?

Premium MemberJohnny Cash, a Southern Gentleman

by Tyr-Ziu Saxnot » Sat Mar 26, 2011 12:46 am

                             Johnny Cash, a Southern Gentleman

I knew Johnny Cash but never got to shake his hand

A hero, myth and a legend to so many that adored him

To me he was just a country boy , fine Southern gentleman

Entertaining , caring and unselfishly giving his best to them

He wrote and performed music of the simple freedom and country ways

Lyrics so heartfelt that tears naturally fell gloriously from the skies

Of love , life , danger, death and redemption that brings greater days

Seeking the answers to the questions of the how, where, when and whys

Gifting us all with his spirit and his love of helping those in need

Joyfully playing his music while dividing up his soul to share

Offering up his amazing life complete with it's heart to bleed

His love of life and concern for others never yielding there

His music taking second place only to his beautiful soul

Those crazy, wild and daringly foolish younger escapades

Only served to endear him to us while making his legend grow

May his memory live longer than the stars that heaven made.....

Forsaken Is A Choice Made

I'd walk a mile of fire to save you
into blazing gasoline defending those I love
Nothing heroic or amazing I choose to do
simply obeying duty and the Lord above.

Measure a man's courage by sacrifices made
not by planned actions and words alone
But by the hands he fearlessly played
Soul eternal survives mere flesh and bone

Last great and full measure faithfully faced
pain , agony and heartache cometh to us all
Love accepted and ever so firmly placed
Fearing not that last great and saddening fall..

Changing Ways

Changing old ways and changing old style
Leading you to think rather than just smile
Sending swimming daggers into your brain
Your body shivers as soaked in a cold rain

The lights ooze and bleed ever deeper into you
Misery emerges and you know you got your due
Hurting from stonedead feet to pounding head
Finding wisdom in the newly born words read

Aching pain given only to reward great relief
Then you will know great truth and find belief
Gone are the pleas once enslaving body and soul
Revelation in kind guides into a saving goal

Words slash, blast and invincibly take measure
 Bringing forth knowledge's greatest treasure
Change your ways, change your style
Celebrate and reward with a brilliant smile .. Tyr- 05-03 2014

First Love Lost

The earth rose to kiss her feet
hair so long and lips so sweet
Her caresses were like morning dew
like a blue sky falling on you

She sent her favors like a Spring rain
like a beautiful snow falling again
Lips inviting as a mother's love
a glimpse of heaven far above

A simple touch of her sweet hand
could make or break any man
As she flew past I quickly saw
 heaven's gate and joyous all

Then like a winter long gone
a chill hit me to the bone
Her image faded ever so fast
such love can never last, never last...............Tyr- 04-07-2014....

Duty Served.

I hold shield, sword and oath to keep
prices paid in red frothy blood
Pains so deep the angels weep
dry bones roasting in sunburnt mud

Retrieve my shield to work someday
my sword to cut vengeance down
Seek not where I chose to lay
tis' sweet in this cold hard ground.

Dew quenches my thirst at break of morn
sun warms my bones like a bonfire
I sought not glory and yielded not to scorn
courage and honor were my only desire.....Tyr- 03-27-2014

Premium MemberA Painter's Nightmare

A Painter's Nightmare

I have been painting where the bird of vengeance tears out the coward's heart
large brush strokes given with an angry scowl and deep frown tossed in to boot
Land between where the blessed soul and the inner spirit of man do ever part
as rough and stout as an old mighty oak tree with withered rock anchored root

A canvas as big and glowing bright as the imagination of a happily playing child
setting up toy soldiers to battle fiercely until the mighty war God tires of his play
Incoming dark spirits unchained and commanded to destroy in vengeance gone wild
all that defiantly dare to fight with courage and pluck while in their way

Each stroke begs for another more vibrant and deeper that the one blasted on before
as the picture looms large sending darkened chills up my old and stiffened spine
A shriek comes forth from behind that castle's bloody and heavy iron gated door
revealing the angry beast has just fled and all will soon be blissfully quiet and fine..

Premium MemberShe

She

She was the first to love me, please me and leave me
The first to take me, fake me and try to break me

Memories of sweetness greater than honey, money
or days blissfully joyful and ever so sunny
Such contrasts are insanely weird, happy , sad
 and even quite mysteriously funny

Yet on reflection any first real lusting love
surely can be any and all of the above..........--Tyr-- 04-22-2014...,.
