Today you twitter, then you tweet,
as though to make your lives complete,
by echoing thoughts of people you admire.
Anticipating that great twitter,
you clutch your phones to reconsider,
the text-ed words of wisdom you desire.
You twitters prattle thoughts absurd,
as tweeters follow in a herd,
of voyeuristic bids to be of note.
You tweet and twitter photographs.
You L O L, the twitting laugh,
amassing twit-wits, with the rights to gloat.
You Tweeter-Dumbs are text-ed astray,
rushing to twitter your lives away,
losing precious time you’ll come to rue.
As tweeted gems of rehashed glitter,
by willing twits, of useless twitter,
dissolve in a vast milieu, void of sinew.

He said he loved her,
though he didn't know her.
Sent her a pic to prove it,
but he was skunk-drunk.
She tweeted back;
“Pervert!”
Upset he retorted;
“Skank!”
A guy said he was a Capitalist lackey.
He tweeted:
“Drop dead socialist donkey.”
His wit was razor sharp that night.
He continued to virtually yell at strangers
until his tweeting fingers grew numb.
Next morning
he wondered about
the little bird in his head
that knew everything
about absolutely bloody nothing.

Judy said her friend's perfume was much too severe
Her canary Tweeter, was alive before she got there
Loved Tweeter so much
He was so old, he needed a crutch
Flew with a limp, I cried when he died, buckets of tears

Trump not a Thoughtful Tweeter
By Franklin Price
1/23/2017
Trump, not a thoughtful tweeter
Doesn't filter words to say
Whatever pops into his head
Is coming out that way
When thoughts form words, within his mind,
He thinks his thoughts are the best;
Must publish them on twitter
And put them to the test
When others choose to disagree
With words he has to tweet
Immediately he jumps on them
And stomps them with both feet
It doesn't matter what he says
He always must be right
And others who conflict with him
Must be looking for a fight
His tweets cause disapproval
In his popularity
Not in what he has accomplished
In most all the news we see
How popular would the president be,
If Twitter was now dead?
Would we recognize what he has done,
And not just what he said?

He tweets days and nights,
He tweets while brushing his teeth.
He tweets past midnight,
He tweets before going to sleep.
He tweets at the wheel,
He tweets as he breathes.
Influential and quirky he tweets like chatter,
Merciless and stormy he tweets no matter.
He thinks he is the best at twitting,
Reading him countless are sobbing.
Attacking, denouncing, not thinking twice,
He tweets his guts like almighty advice.
Often he tweets beyond the pale,
Many skeptical of his tales.
If only he would tweet with temperance,
Otherwise 140 characters will be his own sentence.
