Tried and True

I’ve never heard a podcast,
Which reveals that I am old.
I don’t know how to stream one
(And don’t want to, truth be told).

I’ve never paid with Venmo
And the same applies to Zelle.
My credit cards and checks or cash
Have served me very well.

My doorbell has no camera
And my house has no alarm
And so far, lacking both,
I haven’t come to any harm.

If you stop by for some coffee,
You must wait until it perks
Since I’m happily old-fashioned,
For the tried and true still works.

Tried and True

When you pray for other people,
The Lord God listens tried and true;
When your life is enjoyable,
There's someone who has prayed for you.

Premium MemberLord You Are Tried and True

I moved the mountain,
and all I have left is the valleys;
I filled the valleys
with love and manna from above;

So I'm yearning, but yet I'm learning
Lord to depend on you
and only you
you who are tried and true;

I moved the hills
and all I have left are the rivers and streams;
I crossed the rivers waters parted and I led my people through;

Still yearning, but continually learning
Lord to depend on you
and only you
only you
Lord your tried and true

I stood on the edge of the universe;
and I moved the planets and stars;
Lord I depend on you
and only you
only you and you, only you will do

I've crossed across galaxies;
and still have the victories;
Still yearning, but continually learning
Lord to depend on you
and only you
only you
Lord your tried and true

Hillary Tried and True

Hillary Tried and True

Up with his mind no thoughts would marry
Words from mouth were obstinate and scary
And without him what could news ever do
Trump lied a lot and he was never true.

For President would this behavior we need
Found to be full of much lust and greed
Saying black were White Cliffs of Dover
And every morning having a hangover.

Hillary being true to all of us has tried
While in White House when she did abide
Treated everything proper with much care
Washed own clothes and counted silverware.

Does deserve to be in White House again
Where women do best compared to men
And someone started new personnel file
Only women's names came under domicile.

Tried and True

This is a myth
About the Hobabobaknox
A fiery dreadful creature
That was never seen or caught
So how is it I know?
Is it true or just a thought
If it was never seen
How can this story be bought...?

Unlike the Jabberwocky, the Hobabobaknox
Was very good at staying hidden
You see, it understood a lot
Human races where forbidden
And it knew if it was caught
It would be killed and ridden
So it just stayed still in its spot

However, the creature had to eat
So it planned its hunt with caution
In the still of the night
It would lurk out of its common
Waiting for one to view him
Then it would throw them in its cauldron

It was spineless like a snake
Winged like the hawk
Eyes in front and back
And tails, long like bean-stalks
Its color was quite a marvel
When you see it, you will shock
It will fill you up with terror
It can cause your legs to lock

Only one can tell the tale
Only one was tried and true
One night while fast asleep
I saw its color Ru
I survived the Hobabobaknox
In a dream I shared with you
