Premium MemberThe Cheese of Euripides

Tingling of tongue sent Euripides
Questing a tastier kind of cheese.
"I found cheddar magical,"
Said this poet tragical,
"Sailing the southern antipodes.”

Tragical

His lover died
upon a cold, stone tomb floor,
poison on her lips.

How could this happen?
Shakespear miss-translated an
old Italian tale.

A fairy tale commits suicide.
Alternative versions collide,

sad endings multiply,
for those that watch
their own days play out,

and wonder.

What joy, what passion, what thunderous light

What splendor, what beauty, what wondrous sight

Those lucky few on this magical night

While others suffer a tragical plight

A Tragical Tale

She has a fever.
I leave her dozing fitfully on the veranda.
Halfway to the woods there is a farm gate
where she will often squat
and piss.
The grass is brown, but still thrives,
strangely adapted to uric rain.
Paris the giant poodle is here,
his nose a rapier seeking past and present.
Several dogs from good families arrive
to vie with each other
in search of her ‘wherefore art thou?’
Tragically, Romeo (a bulldog neutered last week),
today plays alone
with his squeaky bone.

A Raven's Pain

a flightless bird too sore to soar,
for i’m a raven wearing pain-
fear begins a tragical war,
whispers from sated stars remain

i kept secrets until you died,
for you are the one i adore-
i tried to love you as you lied,
cried some more full of life’s abhor

my heart harrowing like before,
it leaks lament and doleful gloom-
        torment on the bare forest floor;
for this enigma does consume

i need not weep for what is lost,
but learn the flight to heal much more-
i save no wealth- for there’s no cost…
        restore what ravens can't ignore

Platinum Gold

So tell me was your soul weaved from platinum gold, liquified hot, bold mold when cold.
Tell me was your soul seamed with blindfold string, piece by piece so effortlessly, spiritually free
Oh baby please tell me was your soul dipped in gleam, a bright white light beam, directly into your bloodstream
Don’t you see your soul fascinates me,
So old, uncontrolled water mold, where’s the threshold, how do I unfold all that you behold
So my soul is so full of grieve, qunderachieved, with a heart on my sleeve
What do you see when you perceive me spiritually?
My soul so bold, not dipped in gold but aged mold, so old, covered in coal, a dust bowl, Aurora circle
Maybe you can see my soul isn’t half as glistening clean, but still it’s a pretty mean warrior machine, buffering to sheen as I speak... could you trust me
Soulful, is so full, every inch of mineral, drenched gold, covered in steel wool, it’s beautiful, are we compatible, maybe my love is magical, or unfathomable, let’s not make this tragical, to be honest I’m a bit radical, maybe a bit unpractical,
But tell me was your soul weaved with platinum gold, liquified hot, bold mold when cold?

Magical mystical hypnotic me

Unfortunately I get these Seuss rhymes of blue,
Making up words faster than I have any right to
It is like my muse is on fire with silliness
I have to go along, with her crazy willy-ness

I dance and prance my way through this reluctantly
Wishing I could stop and get myself a cup of tea
But Trixie my arrogant muse is not to be thwarted or stopped
She is in charge of my dendrite alley, and will give me a whop.

Magical mystical hypnotic me
Tragical tristical erotic whee
Exotic purpuric robotic see?
Who else has this trouble besides little ‘ole me?

Premium MemberA Letter On the Desktop

Alone with my thoughts pensive up on the rooftop
I am finally unequivocally at peace with it all
You’ll find a letter on the desktop
It’s all been said we need to finally move on
Deep down we both know old feelings are gone
And it’s much too late and futile now to be analytical

Seems so clear today from as high as on a mountain top
Rational feelings dissolving all dark thoughts so cynical
Take heed unless you want to find your stuff at the local pawnshop
There’s no need to get emotional and call the Pentagon
With blown-up doomsday stories of Babylon or Armageddon
We did our best there’s really nothing diabolical fanatical or tragical

Loneliness

LONELINESS
Loneliness is tragical
It kills faster than bullet
And subdue like an elephant.

Loneliness fears no one
It comes when we are alone
It is a room that is so quiet.

Loneliness bears a mark of Sadness
It might lead to Madness
If there is no desperate measure.

Loneliness makes one to do
Things he or she did not wish to do
Or want to go through.

Acrostic Poem of Jesus Christ

LUX IN DOMINO

I am...

Jailed in the pain of this tragical bait
Each day, all day, as if death can't wait!
Suppressing my breath, my soul impaired
Unto this darkness, I'm alone uncared
Say God, please save me, I'm hurt, I'm scared.

God answers...

Chase down your tears my selfless child
Hold out those thorns, the pain is wild
Raise up your faith, let will, be strength
Into the light; a step shall length
Say not what fear, can do or fame
Tell all; what's great, this world, my name...

Insecurity

Sometimes you can be insecure
Because it is the cure
Doubt is beautiful and magical
Doubt is mysterious and tragical

Insecurity compels you to search your inner being
It means liberating and freeing
So be sometimes doubtful
So you can be rightful

Actress

I've turned to an actress regardless my will,
Life's poignant scenario brought me the skill.
Performing, I find the salvation
In changing my costumes and masks.
It keeps my true guise ever changing in turn,
The art of arranging's not easy to learn,
It's more than just bright decorations.
I've handled a difficult task.

I fear the thunder, still dance in the rain,
The gloomy surrounders claim I'm insane,
Not seeing the sense in its absence -
The actress is always to blame!
My tragical comedies last for a while,
Erasing the concepts "the truth" and "a guile".
Deceiving the evident essence,
I'm playing this innocent game.

I speak every language of pleasure and grief,
I've heard every rumor you spread and believe.
Well, I am the subject this season,
In fact I am proud of it.
I'm nursing the thought they keep talking of me,
Quite happy to seem a discover-to-be
For no particular reason
Except such a playful deceit.

Same Old Song An' Dance

there's a certain kind of rhythymic beat
that can thunder in one's ears
As sunlight slips so silky warm
through freshly opened leaves
It's tragical and magical
as it causes tapping feet

One wonders how on nature's stage
The leaves fall where they may
But this is Spring and everything
is dancing here in May
Blossoms fall and through it all
Dame Weather skips and plays
and green eyed Spring
will have her fling
till lazy Summer days

posturing and postulating early morning Rain
attempts to dampen spirits lost
in chorus and refrain
But early birds had fat old worms
to help their souls retain
and gain a hint of satisfaction
and from the snails with slime wet tails
There is simply no reaction
In the seeding feeding crowd
Sun shines on Rain and in disdain
she huffs off in a cloud
helped with ease by gentle Breeze
who early morning rises
with the Sun who's just begun
with really no surprises

Natures green and sterner
when the Elements concur
but this is Season of rebirthing
animated birds and bees
one a teacher one a learnin'
Maybe Spring is envy green
I'd rather She were always seen
as envious of Erin
