Same Old Song An' Dance

there's a certain kind of rhythymic beat that can thunder in one's ears As sunlight slips so silky warm through freshly opened leaves It's tragical and magical as it causes tapping feet One wonders how on nature's stage The leaves fall where they may But this is Spring and everything is dancing here in May Blossoms fall and through it all Dame Weather skips and plays and green eyed Spring will have her fling till lazy Summer days posturing and postulating early morning Rain attempts to dampen spirits lost in chorus and refrain But early birds had fat old worms to help their souls retain and gain a hint of satisfaction and from the snails with slime wet tails There is simply no reaction In the seeding feeding crowd Sun shines on Rain and in disdain she huffs off in a cloud helped with ease by gentle Breeze who early morning rises with the Sun who's just begun with really no surprises Natures green and sterner when the Elements concur but this is Season of rebirthing animated birds and bees one a teacher one a learnin' Maybe Spring is envy green I'd rather She were always seen as envious of Erin
