Cosy lights and small toy cars.
Chasing baddies under the bed clothes by torchlight for the moon and the stars.
Creating people and places and crimes.
Creating heros and villains with no pennies or dimes.
Finding beauty that you cannot find the words to describe.
Sunlight through tree shadow cut by a bird taking flight.
Mist like magic under the dawn of a new day.
Fields of miles to explore and conquer in the innocence of play.
Dreams that weren’t broken by the reality of life.
Eyes wide with wonder in soft faces of warm light.
Laughter and joy chasing the sun.
The days when we could dream of being anything or anyone.

Race riot
I went to a dancing competition, little did I know
it was naked dancing by grotesque old people
the young in the audience laughed till their faces
became a mask of horror, looking
at their future
someone pointed at me, look! he is old, grabbed
me and tried to tear my clothes off
I jumped out of the window and landed in a lake
5 fathom deep, of forgotten tears and also
tears shed a graveside
I drank the tears, buckets full
I went back to
the window and spewed it over the shameless
old people, who had let go of their dignity in
pursuit of eternal youth and fled to the woods
torchlight and angry voices, get him he is not
a democrat wants to stop us from having fun
he is a Nazi, sting him up with the Jews
we know his name is Samuelson, the third
and has a tailor shop in town

If you like the feel of sunlight that is bright,
I have Just the poem for you.
If you would rather stay up all night,
Until the stars are no longer bright,
I have just the poem for you.
If what you seek is a romantic moonlit night,
I have just the poem for you,
If you are looking to shine under the limelight,
I have just the poem for you.
If you prefer your dinner under candle light,
I have just the poem for you.
If you want something that gives off an eerie light,
That has you running out into the night,
I have just the poem for you.
If you want something to read under torchlight,
I have just the poem for you.
If you want something that happens under streetlight,
I have just the poem for you.
If you want something that will help you say goodbye to your night light,
I have just the poem for you.
Best not let others see them under a spotlight,
Or they will pick that they were written by everyone else but me.
I did write a poem once,
That was about moonlighting,
Which I can give you for free.

Sunlight's touch only by its flaming torchlight through majesty
Cornflower blue sky, drawn steadfastly upon my face, amid scarlet marigolds,
Orange and pink dahlias, snapdragons, and pungent garden green.
Our bright colors and strong fragrances attracting captivating,
Winged pollinators for our tasteful nectar.
She walks through the garden and lingers.
Well-seen she's lost to my large orange and brown freckles beauty.
She bends and removes me from my place.
Brings me up to her nose, breathe in my sweet scent.
All the others in jealousy, for I'll be a part of a bouquet for the indoors.

DISCOMBOBULATION
The clock on the bedside table
Says two forty-five in the morning..
Hours of precious sleep time yet
Until the day is dawning.
I shine the torch around the room;
The battery’s running low
And nothing feels familiar
In the flickering, eerie glow.
Somebody’s moved the wardrobe,
And whose is that nursing chair?
I’m sure, before I fell asleep,
That wasn’t standing there.
Perhaps I’m not awake at all
And this is just a dream.
Later on I’ll discover
That things are not what they seem.
But now I need the bathroom;
It’s a sign of getting old.
And so I push the covers back,
Shivering with the cold.
I hastily don my slippers
And, increasingly frustrated,
Try to locate the en-suite.
I’m discombobulated
Feeling my way by torchlight,
I need to get there fast.
Then suddenly, to my relief,
I find the door at last.
Gratefully I step inside
And firmly close the door.
And here I am, stark naked
In the hotel corridor

A STUDY IN VIOLET
This treasure house of objets d’art
Littered with plots and storylines
A room encrusted with jewels of history
Inviolate – and undisturbed.
Over there, a military tunic
Blue – and in such fine condition.
Pale lapels perhaps too remote or innocent
Of its vile ‘let them have it’ past.
Here, an abandoned symphony
Black notes pebbledash the page.
Written for that ancient violin, no…
Viol. Late Belle Epoch I think.
That leather book I recognise
An ancient asset register.
And with such work of reference
Identify - a little more.
A philtre or monk’s cure perhaps.
Or poison, used to sway an empire.
Something forensic science may analyse
This phial – let it keep its secret.
Here, a scroll. Homeric tragedy?
Greek, according to the words.
Those old strange symbols, faded now
A ‘Phi’ or letter ‘P’ – I’m sure.
I cannot touch nor be considered
A robber, loose in a dusty tomb.
Caught in the torchlight, gold in hand
Say ‘Fie!’ – or let him go.
This treasure is too much for anyone
To really own. To hide away.
Bequeathed to me but never really mine.
Something Auntie Violet always knew.

White Ted looked flat;
that hair and pyjama bed smell.
She was getting heavier
My bleary eyes trying not to sleep.
Bone protruded from flesh,
blooded the seat and gearstick;
leaning in best I could
to cannulate, set up drip by torchlight
as Firefighters started cutting.
She smiled and tightened her grip;
I kissed her forehead
still feeling the bitter cold.
Fluorescent coat bulkily hindering
as cracking metal sheered;
dressing the open bloody carnage.
Suddenly toast popped up,
"Have a good day at school" I said,
fighting my tiredness.
The mangled wreck still lingered
as I put my daughter down,
heading for bed, another shift tonight.

Please be loving and supportive of each other. You never know how much time you have or the difference your words and actions will make. A pebble can create ripples that extend far beyond our known reach.
Your beautiful self casts light

You are beautiful
It extends beyond your face
It's there in your heart
It's there in your soul's grace
You radiate this beauty
It shines from deep inside you
Like a beacon to the Universe
Like a torchlight in the dark
Every smile you give
Every gentle touch
Every kind word
Touches hearts and minds
Like a pebble that creates ripples
That extends beyond our known reach
Your beautiful self casts light
On everyone you meet

Thanks a lot cat,
For waking me up in the middle of the night,
For cat food to find by torchlight,
So, someone in the house can sleep through the night,
And awake in a mood that is as bright as the suns light.
I know our biological clocks are seen in a different light,
But at that time of night,
It is hard to see it that way, under torchlight,
Especially when I did not get to bed til midnight,
But when the first rays of sunlight,
Begin to push back the night,
You are safe to come back inside to nap, knowing my mood is now light,
And my language now fit, for a cat that likes to purr anytime, day and night.
You should think yourself a lucky cat,
As the cats, who came before you, did not fear so well in the night,
When they woke babies in the house, requiring more than just torchlight,
And not one in the house able to sleep through the night,
Making it hard for anyone to face the day with a mood that was light,
Enough, to enjoy the sight of cat taking a nap anytime of the day or night.

I am a passerby
these things are facts of Life no lie
But as I pass I still wonder why
positive and negative thoughts cloud my mind without lies
We are all wonderers a thought that comes with smiles
The part to each destiny traveled by lone self
But the decision to bliss lies in the hands of the creator
A thought always good to remind oneself
As a passerby I might compromise
Since I am not guaranteed tomorrow
I live to adventure, make mistakes and improvise
Atleast I know this journey sometimes might be joy the other sorrow
Why does the rain pour and afterwards sunshine?
The day is also a passerby same too with the dark night
We think we are free but we can't choose to be happy everytime
This fact nature holds against us as reminder Torchlight
Our title here must always be the PASSERBY.

Generally dreads the kitchen:
The incalculable losses it occasions one’s image.
Often with fried, oily chicken:
A company that doesn’t anything damage!
For all early morning jogs promptly ready!
Its healthy rejuvenation of a woman’s waist!
Has resolved not to be domiciled in a periphery,
Wherever seems to suggest a satellite
Eating rice with much stew against Beriberi:
A tradition of treading roads of laterite.
Unparalleled roles of reforms she can play
But sometimes the very driver of a fratricidal truck:
The ultimate prices of natural sacrifices she can pay,
Yet, the chief character behind some municipal ill-luck…
Not infrequently, recipient of cheers of a mammoth crowd,
As much the earner of the first bed in a bedlam.
From time to time a powerful voice on human affairs very loud
Not inconceivably between two hearty friends building a dam:
In some cases, emerging the people’s torchlight and battery,
still in others, the mastermind of a scheduled adultery.

You are high like the sky
and deep like the oceans
You make me feel so fly
and touch my emotions!
You are a sweet dream
in the boring late night
I've stopped my scream
with your torchlight!
You are the rainy day
in the mid of monsoon
I'm the garden by the bay
Flood me with rains soon.
You are the morning
on the last day of summer
Dear, I am just heading
to your heart forever.

Volcanic, rustic, crackling leaves
bright coral sunset, gifts last light
obscure darkness, daylight thieves
deep pockets prevent frostbite,
singed gooey marshmallow delights.
Ghost stories relayed by torchlight
joyful, flustered, silly faces
elated sugar rush heights,
toffee lousy for braces
competitive doorstep races.
Lantern flames, lead ghoul skeleton
into inky bleak locations,
candy bags filled with gelatin
miniature fright night, palpitations
pumpkins, handmade creations

Poetically Sees,
majesty cornflower blue,
calmer uncompleted whorl grace ripples,
abound depthless water.
Sunlight’s touch
only by its flaming torchlight;
its unruffled beauty
hidden by aged somber twilight;
silent to ancient exterior world.
