Under the diamond savage sun
Brutal temperatures proved too much
Mounting higher in the sweltering inferno
Elements can take your life to that degree
The horse died a few miles back
Lack of water, oxygen and a will to continue
Or life itself simply did it in
It appears I'm next to wither in this sea of sand
Four days baking under a blinding light
Brilliant down to the hell it is
Relentless, endless, punishing
Face scorched, burnt red, blistered, close to death
Tongue swollen, throat parched, unable to whisper
Nothing to eat or drink, only pounding heat
Orange burning sand driving me down
Sinking with it is all that's left
The desert inferno turned on most things living
Changed them into dust as dry as it is
Sucked out the bone right to the marrow
To the core of desert death
Souls rest while vultures feast
On a hot meal in a hellish landscape
That's all there is
Under the diamond savage sun
Existing as it is

There is a wall in between them and I
Which I cannot yet break down
Causes the fires deep inside their souls have all but yet gone out
There’s grief and pain and disease that’s there
Which lies far beneath the skin
And the fear it causes does prevail
It prevails through out and prevails within
They have no idea how to kill this pain
The hurt and all it has done
Cause they have not been to that degree yet
That which soon will come
There is peace and light within Gods spirit
That really can prevail
Prevail to cure their minds and soul
So surely from their hell
So just hold and love the one you’re with
Because love it does not fail
And the time, yes it has yet to come
But in time love will prevail
Now life will come, and life will go, but the spirit will live on
So one day you and the world will see
And know what is to come

A ripple on the sea
could not possibly
be caused by me
too slight to be
such a force to that degree
