Cruel Jewel

Sign of new tomorrows?
The old ones may just say.
Agony, pain, sore sorrows!
Doubt, dread and dismay!

Wilted flower, came the rain?
Death, ye did disdain!
Thunderbolts across the main!
Blighted by the bane!

Soar above us, carrion crow!
Dappled light, thy roe...
Weathervane, point well to woe?
Reap just what ye sew.

Thus in springtime, new and strong.
Elders, ye belong?
O for heroes without song!
Sin's light, scuppernong...

Aim for hearts, O Cupid?
Well, sir, that's just my job.
Prisoner, enjoy thy bid!
Burglar, time to rob!

Rabid fire in darkness burn!
Hail, O sacred sight!
Tamarind a-taciturn!
Poison, photon, plight!

Jewel whom the hard sun off shone;
Surface yours: as bone?
O volcano, seen thy cone?
Debtor, care to loan?

Flickering the flame in fall?
Yes, and here is why:
Funeral, cast well thy pall!
Treacherous to try!

Gold long by prospectors sought;
Sparks of life were wrought?
Deadly venom, often bought?
Foreign wars a-fought!

Cold the coals of chaos!
Forever smolder bright!
Dancing stars of fine-flung gloss!
Reign eternal, Night!

   Thunderbolts roaring :

    On stormy night borns

    an angel

   to enlighten world.

  Evil Devil to be driven.

  Darkness confronts to fight.

  Lotus to bloom

   in muddy dirty pool.

  Melodrama ripples to excite.

Premium MemberBaal god of Fertility and Rider of the Clouds

Baal spent time in the underworld with the lesser gods
Learned how to make man miserable with the weather
Thunderbolts and lightning announced his earthly arrivals
Baal relished in the misery of lost sailors and dying soldiers.
He was a key deity in weather changes and stubbornness.
Thus, he was represented with a bull, ram or thunderbolt
Rider of the clouds some said; they were barely touching Baal’s strength.
He was the quintessential weather god, also, called
God of fertility, which goes along with moon cycles and weather.

Premium MemberOh, that I might

Oh, that I might
fly like a kite
in a sky with clouds a-swirling.

It would be such a great joy
for any young boy,
especially if he had thunderbolts he could be hurling.

Premium MemberMy Challenge

Path of life : Uneven not smooth
Life won't show me the special ruth.
I am bound to admit this truth,
                                    accepting life as a challenge.

Ups -Downs to persist on my way.
Me normal, heart beats not to sway
neither in rapture nor in dismay.
I'm stepping forward on each change.

           Not honoured by my sacrifice.
           Defeated by other's malice .
This happening is never nice :
Yet on journey of life, not strange.

Thunderbolts ! No silver linings !
In dark days no rays glistening !
Feeling helpless ! None listening !
                                                        I have confidence to manage.

Premium MemberEcho And Reality

I sing Shahana Bahar, a malody of delight.
It echoed aloud, Marwa, music of sadness-filled plight
I laugh aloud and I hear it back as a scary scream
My gleam of glee turns into hallucinatory dream

Each false virtue that I hate haunts me like a hounds unbound.
Trust and mistrust amalgamate and make meaningless sound.
The impressions I form to attract all, impress no one
Amidst my endless fights, no inner battles I have won.

Efforts that give the illusion of success often fail.
Why does fate prompt me to upset the boat when I still sail?
Convictions are converted into crude catastrophes.
Punctuations of quotations close as apostrophes

With silences of bridge, ledge, and edge, badge, bodge, and budge clash
Amidst pitch dark clouds torches of light as thunderbolts flash
Sounds of church bells peal from graves where tolling knells are hidden.
Though echoes sound true, is disclosure of truth forbidden?

Premium MemberPalm Sunday

Your entry into Jerusalem had volumes to speak
Was, like rulers and emperors, your fame at its peak?
Ocean of humans, as though welcoming the divine, rose
Did they know the secret that your end here on earth was close?

Waving palm leaves, the crowds celebrated your victory.
You knew. Did they know that thenceforth would start a new story?
It's not carpets, but their own garments they spread on your way.
The blossoms around swayed as though they had some truths to say.

The animal that wore you felt that its goal was fulfilled.
It seemed as though in everyone, their egotism was killed.
The chants of Hosanna, as wild thunderbolts, filled the ears.
Of the yolks and loads that bound them, had they forgotten their fears?

You could see Calvary calling you with extended hands.
In the form of passion and death, the times had their demands.

NOONRAY IN WINTER

NOONRAY IN WINTER

Noonray in your navel
a locus for language light
whale wave wishes
in water songs kisses
as July just jokes along

Winter wonder words waffling
storm crown chakra baffling
cold she stirs potted iced rice
as rain rigorously roars
Noonray holds the dice

On hailstone highway she
instantly marries marigold
instinct with indigo intuition
timing tactical thunderbolts
favouring floods for nutrition

Noonray in silent shiver
shake or hide shelter seek
a game of glum greeting
Winter knows no flotsam
fathomless figure awaiting

Noonray no wee whimpers
or white wisdoms waste
in a wineglass she slithers
six seamless seasonless
sweets simultaneously
… then quivers !

     Hearts designed to beat together
         torn asunder, grope and stumble
     Seminal streaks of lightning flash
         thunderbolts rend and rumble

     Lips yearning, pried apart
        demonic forceps ice-cold-sterile
      Amnesia, sweet sleep imparts
        Love’s embrace, for aye imperiled

Let Go

Death is a step to letting go,
but it's not the last, not even the first.

Orgasms can be a little death,
in their letting go moments.

Thunderbolts of instant love
shake you out of yourself.

Is it time,
to stop clinging to that last hope,
that you, as a separate self,
actually exist?
Only you can tell.

If so, let go of that rope,
then fall as far as you need to.

Premium MemberIn a Dark Sky

In a dark sky, an eclectic mix stirs
atmospheric storms and persistent winds.
Corrupting clouds with mottled mist deters
the full force where earth-bound lightening ends.

The raging quarrel within the sky trends
toward an unsettling sunrise that blurs.
Its vibrant color provokes and pretends
in a dark sky, an eclectic mix stirs.

Heaven meets hell in a banter of slurs.
Thunder bolts thrown, as harps make amends.
A cacophony of sound that transfers
atmospheric storms and persistent winds.

Loud blasting burst of screeching crackles tends
to mark the blaring argument that stirs
with sullen seditiousness, and portends
corrupting clouds with mottled mist deters.

Solemn skies with gray, granite clouds ensures
that torrential rains with whirling winds blends
and blurs the power that surely refers
the full force where earth-bound lightening ends.

Then Susanoo changes his mood and mends
the skies together again but confers
with gods and goddesses alike then sends
winds and thunderbolts as his messengers
			in a dark sky.

DEEP DOLOR

      Sudden debut of whirling gust
Garden got covered with dense dust.
Burden of bygone days still lasts.

     Clouds almost ready to burst.
     Loud thunderbolts boldly blast.
     Proud memories pricked from past.

Fast flying birds flew far leaving sky.
Last phase of mine tending to sigh.
Past grievances sad to say ‘Why?’

    Terrible turmoil on thrust.
    Horrible heavy rains to start.
    Plausible claim from deprived heart.

Me just helpless passing through plight.
She is far away, out of sight.
Plea in vain to reach her this night.

Tears in ceaseless showers to pour.
    Piercing heart sonorous storms roar.
    Steers in despondence, deep Dolor.

Premium MemberThe Big Dry

Where are the rains over field and meadow,
on plain and high country for so long quelled?
To dampen cracked earth, to make all things grow
till the crops are in and the herds have swelled.
Where are the season’s long drought-breaking falls
when the grid’s mighty river turbines turn?
Pacific gales and Southern Ocean squalls
on grove and vine, on forest silver fern.
Where are the cloudbursts a winter storm brings
and flash of thunderbolts hurled from the sky?
The misty jewelled bands of rainbow rings
over catchment to end the long Big Dry.
Soon the snows will melt into the spring thaw
and its first early rains return once more.
