The Lonely Dancer

Headway to gain in search of the rain,
This drought has killed all except for the pain.
Invincible thoughts my body's a drain,
Continuing forward while feeling insane.

Resentment and struggle a sight of remorse.
Beatings and thrashings upon a dead horse.
From yelling and screaming my throat becomes coarse.
The words have all vanished there's nothing to force.

My head hung so low it drags at my feet,
A vision of agony alone in the street.
Mercy for others burned by the heat,
Blinded by lust and tempted to cheat.

Life as a slave my body's a drum,
Been running so long my feet have turned numb.
Contained by a culture of faith leaves me none.
No sun in the sky oblique as they come.

Frantically searching the dark for an answer,
Constantly waiting, but time is a cancer.
No longer a lover or a secret romancer,
Seclusion labels my soul - The lonely dancer.

#forever alone

Dwell Not Upon

Dwell not upon “when” with unpleasant thoughts.
For joy depends on one’s state of mind.
Delight yourself; live unbound by past blots.

Worry not about old fears and inkblots.
Make choices; decide which daydreams can stay.
Dwell not upon “when” with unpleasant thoughts.

Halt all musings rooted in sad onslaughts.
And then, give your dreams to God’s love, trusting.
Delight yourself; live unbound by past blots.

Cease mental thrashings; unwind hurtful knots.
Laugh and sings songs; let your joyful heart swell.
Dwell not upon “when” with unpleasant thoughts.

Think on happy days, songs, play, and teapots.
With wisdom seek sweet memories…feeling.
Delight yourself; live unbound by past blots.

Picture your moments as perfect snapshots.
Select your reflections; reduce past pain.
Dwell not upon “when” with unpleasant thoughts.
Delight yourself; live unbound by past blots.

The Jungle

30,000 insect species per mile,
half of them in my space
whirr of wings,
none of whch make me smile

Hot fetid air
decay of leaves
humidity overwhelms me
i cannot breathe

Dense impenetrable green,
rank pools of water
holds things i have never seen

The twitter and call of things unseen
leaves much to the imagination
my wild thrashings,
my curses and condemnation

Leafy clutter abounds every where
yet nothing is wasted
nature's powerhouse recycled
every thing eaten,everything tasted

Dark gloom of triple canopy,
day like night
night,stygian darkness
terrifies me

For the jungle man has no place, nothing
for the jungle, the insects are king

Frogs croak,hidden things chatter
flash of colour,nothing seen
stench of decayed matter,
everything green

Hot jungle,constant drip of water,
razor sharp bamboo,
makes me falter

This moving green mass holds me in its web,
the 30,000 insects,
i dread

Time to go quickly,
for i am not of the jungle,
which makes me poor and sickly

Leave, for the 30,000 insects have evicted me
dont worry,i'll go you'll see
whirr of wing
croak of frog
escapes me
