Premium MemberCome to the waters, His call from oasis of bliss

Across the space of desolation,
enfolding the desert of existence
where instead of thornbush
the Holy Spirit grows juniper,
the journey in the labyrinth of torment
is to reach the oasis of bliss,
from where He calls to come to the waters.

I travel from the abyss of despair
on the blessed inward journey
through the layers of consciousness,
perceive the radiance of the divine beacon
in the sanctum of the devout soul,
illumining the corridor to the abode of peace.
The portals of the inner domain then open,
where for me God blooms the piety lotus,
suffused with the gleam of His grace.

Insightful of the benevolence of God,
my soul shines with ethereal radiance
like the flaring brilliance of a billion suns
in the infinite depth of the inner space.
In my self-searching spiritual odyssey
toward the edge of enlightened eternity,
I perceive His gracious support,
making me glow in the galaxy of acumen,
turning me into a living light.

A thornbush, crowned by a rose
A spiny cactus, become ‘Queen of the Night’ ...

Atop fraught frames, shines glorious splendor

The Life of a Dove, a Grasshopper, Never Met a Human Life

The infatuation of a poem is a lot
Like a high fever
The pain of a lost aspiring dream
Just like the touch of a thornbush,
Somewhere...only somewhere lies the destiny,
No time to understand,
No urge to interact...
Everyone is running, rushing,
In tune with the hands of the clock.
Ticking from the house of the dead.

Some days at this time,
I think,
About a long long story of scripture
Or,
A tale of his non-ending dream
The fairy tale truth of the story.
A muffled whisper
Speaks softly to the ear
"Thinking of the city again?
What will happen next?
There’s a lot of trouble in the city!"
I hear half of it,
Half of it is drowned in the noise of life
He comes again
He comes again smiling
Again he comes in a daze
He comes again
With unspoken compassion...
Jibanananda's page of poem pondered in silence
The life of a dove, a grasshopper, never met a human life.

We are blighted wards
Sordid, trepidatious scars
Haven's wall too darkly far
Eden's thornbush guards
Caught behind our safety bars
Still, we count the free range stars

thorns ahead ~ a swift-footed and sober sage passes by in silence

Proverbs 26:7, 9
Like the useless legs of one who is lame
is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.
Like a thornbush in a drunkard’s hand
is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.

The Thornbush Incident

My infancy was plagued with several
accidents
From the pain of broken bones to the
woes of tonsillitis
My vivid childhood could have easily
been forgotten
But how can one forget the
illustrious thornbush incident

On a sunny Queensland afternoon
The Brisbane hot sun oozed
unforgiveness
As it's rays scorched my
inexperienced scalp
However, one would not predict the
horror to come

Playing aimlessly in the garden
I enthusiastically chased man's best
friend
But this frivolous chase led to my
own undoing

A patch of damp grass sent me
tumbling
The unsuspecting cactus met with
my posterior counterpart
Pain like this had never been so
evident
Thus the continuous struggle to
forget the thornbush incident

Weak Victory

Why did you take my dreams and brush them all away,
Like scattered ashes of some forgotten yesterday,
Blown with the biting dust of winds that swiftly glide,
Just drifters on life’s road, unwanted, cast aside?
I’ll mend the twisted fragments that have not been lost,
Time will veil some pieces and never count the cost,
A feckless sort of action, yet task worth knowing,
By simply standing tall, find endurance growing.
Wisdom laced with caution that loneliness will marry,
Gull’s nest on seaweed, though set adrift, may tarry,
A titmouse, in the thornbush, emerges, wings intact,
While dreams that died of neglect, often seem abstract
