Thirteens Poems | Examples

Lucky Number 13

I woke up dead that means hell on earth,
Plaguing weak minds so the sick don't hurt,
Thirteens the sign that I exist on other plains,
So badluck happens when I bring my earth concerns to my brain,
The sick know this but the good do not know,
Because having hearts something brought from hell,
It tends to emotionally blind,
Since I'm not a God I have to be a judge,
As penal code 911 Moses is now the one,
The dead will return to find jobs once again,
Arise the dead of the streets do not beg as men,
Thirteen means badluck falls on our command,
By giving the homeless the walk of christ through its land,
The mind is something to be cherished not abused,
So Moses returns and so do all the used.

Premium MemberHalloween Screams

Halloween is a scream dressed in orange and black
A night of sneaky creeps that rattle and clack
Vampires conspire to send midnight bat attacks
Witches stirring cauldrons of potent purple snacks
Moonlit foggy streets filling with ghoulish packs
Of superheroes, princesses and lumberjacks
Cowboys with space toys and candy laden sacks
Evil clowns with smiles painted on out-of-whack
Hobos and gypsies from the wrong sides of the tracks
Mad hatters and kooky-eyed conspiracy quacks
Unlucky thirteens losing their crackerjacks
Curses from broken mirrors and stepped-on sidewalk cracks
Better give up the goodies if you don't want payback!

Thrive In the Dark

you know he'll work best in the dark room
ran on the scent of rotten angels he kept
let him loose in the living room
and hes wrapped around the furniture
look him in the windowless eye
sunk down to his elbows
he got me on my lucky thirteens

burnt out easy
a good mix of glow and gloom
that which strives when most deprived
who thrives in the darkest part of a room

used to lie in the backyard
be glowing for days
a come down like sunset
be spewin light and it would
wrap around the buildings
and the houses looked human
with monsters within

night didnt need a camouflage
you could see right through
that which cries when most alive
who thrives in the darkest time of night

Want To Know Me

fun at my own expense
funny cause its true
do what they told me
sit on my own fence
spit in buckets
be disgusted
worth millions
tossing it onto the artists of the horror movie generation

brother of jail taught me how to spit
on the terrorists scaring little kids
in the buckets they go round
round and round
for the one worth it
so i just sit here on my fence pointing blindly
do you want to know me?

Everyday the same routine
the same game i play with myself to inrteract with opthers
hoping they will remember me among their interactions with another
for something good to be remembered
a night of thirteens bel;ls and the mystery of how
when there was no envelopes in all of town square
