Mr Sidebottom

He wasn't beside himself.
He was inside himself.

He wasn't all for himself.
He was taking care of others.

He wasn't into himself.
He was all for you.

He loved you more than he loved himself.
He'd show up at places you were at.

He didn't think outside of the box.
He, himself, was in the box.

I'm not on my soap box.
I'm on my hope chest.

And, my dogs on his box.
Gotta put on my socks.

Break the Mirror

we think we know
in the smallness of our ego mind
what we are and the purpose of life
after all we have been constantly shaped
to not think outside of the box

but if we break the mirror

we will see on the other side
that it has is all been fiction

our eternal soul
vast and all knowing
waits patiently

for us to shatter the illusion

The Clarity of Insanity

Insanity is the clarity we all refuse to need
It's a fortress
Unbreakable
Impenetrable
Unfathomable
It's called sanity

We are told to think outside of the box
Our mind is herded
Controlled
If only we knew what treasures the box could hold
We were never in the box
The fortress

Sanity
Our freedom to think
Misguided
towards mental slavery

If you are in
Sanity
In
San
In the spiritual plain where your mind is truly free
And the pain of crazy is only in your mind

Even the smartest
And the best dressed
Can detest
How their mind is obsessed
With the singular opinions of the world

Why hate the insane when you are out of sanity’s gift
Why does Sane sound like a saint?
If i am insane
Am I in saint?
The saint?
In the state of mind where i can completely open up to the world

The woke awaken their third eye
But their 4th, 9th and 11th will remain blind

Let the pain of crazy cleans you
While some may call you coocoo
Insanity shows you what you do do
And directs you on what you should do

Break into insanity
Because thinking “outside the box”
Only gifts you vanity
Embrace the kiss of crazy
And dive into the world of insanity.

Always Give Yourself a Chance

Always give yourself a chance
You just may be the one to be amazed
Never say that you cannot do this
Take that risk, be bold and brave
Think outside of the box
You just may open the door to success
The knowledge is there for you to obtain
Feast your mind on striving for excellence

The Individual's Poem

Think outside of the box
and don't mind the envious black eyes
that look at you with grinning jealous smiles.
Think outside of the box
and love yourself and love others,
love everyone
good and bad, they hate when they see you smiling,
and having a good day.
Take a walk,
or run,
dance in the rain,
don't mind those critics
laughing at you and calling you "crazy."
They don't know life,
they don't know love,
but you, you know love and life very well,
and you know the one thing
many do not,
and that is loving life.

Give to the poor,
give to the rich,
love and give more love,
those girls and boys will break your heart,
and they will snap your back,
but never doubt,
never hate,
never negotiate.
Love everything
and don't worry about anything.
The world will kill you,
and when your down in the mud
and burning away
and no one is watching you,
you are strong and don't depend on anyone,
but yourself.
Don't lose faith,
Don't hate yourself, don't hate at all.
Be good
and sing songs
and love everyone!
Have a good one,
and you'll never drive straight,
if your looking through the rearview mirror all your life.
Enjoy life
and Smile.
