Whatever happened to all the white horses

Will we be seeing more that is orange with,
White horses now thin on the ground,
White knights no longer seen in daylight hanging around,
White hats now waiting for cowboys on the rebound.
White cars to scrapyards bound,
White paint seldom free of coffee ground,
White shirts not giving off a loud enough sound,
White sheets as emergency bandages mostly found,
Will orange be good enough for us to regain the middle ground?

Tiger

The Tiger

A tigress in Belgium rattled her cage
she got free growled angry words before
her keepers captured her
Her claws were manicured and red as blood.
Her hind legs to had manicured claws
and her fur was smooth as silk.
She was looking for a male tiger but in Belgium
they are thin on the ground.
Could it be rain?
She once, in the jungle found a tiger tall alas
the giant beast around, but untamed
left her in nail-bar and to another country fled.
There are so many tigresses everywhere and her
mane is getting grey.

My Heroes

They are often hard to find,
With evidence of their brave deeds thin on the ground,
Yet they know how to take knocks on the chin and never give in.

They can stay staunch and never seem to flinch,
Stopping to think, they never kick up a stink,
And are never proud or loud.

They can change from bad to good,
Never spoiling for a fight,
They will stay to see things put right.

Feeling pity, as well as duty,
They give, so others may live.
Their aim to become better, not bitter.

If God Used Facebook

I wonder if God had a Facebook account
what sort of things that he might post,
some selfies, maybe of him and his son,
and his other old friend, Holy Ghost.
His favourite music he'd put there to share
such as Handel's 'Messiah' or 'Te Deum',
While he lolls about sat in his favourite throne
and gets all of his Angels to play 'em.
His followers, there would be millions of them
but all the same none of them he would miss,
though it is safe to say he's unfriended Old Nick
and crossed him off his Christmas card list.
His family videos would be thin on the ground,
for the first billion years at least,
till his son came along and fed crowds thousands strong
now, that guy, he sure puts on a feast.
His life was cut short and they all must have thought
that was it, but he proved them all wrong,
three days dead with the baddies but was rescued by daddy
which was cool, 'coz he knew all along.
And being all knowing, his I.T skills showing,
Facebook he would easily master,
but Millennia pass, he stares at the hourglass
and wishes that his Broadband was faster.

The Time

I can recall a time when everything was okay
when the pressures of life didn't affect me in any way
I can remember a time when everything was alright
when I never had to try to be the winner of this fight
I remember a time when things seemed to be fine
when from this world I had no desire to decline
I can remember a time when I was actually happy
when now in reality I'm just sad and snappy
I can remember a time when saying no was an ease
when all I do now, is things for other people to please
I can remember a time when my house was my home
when presently all my feet want to do is roam
I can recall a time when friends could be found
when in reality-they're a bit thin on the ground
I can remember a time when peace reigned in my mind
when at the moment certainty is hard to be defined
I can recall the saying-burying your head in the sand
when all I really need is a helping hand
