red globe lanterns trailing their
tentacle tassels

The howling wind was still and lightning flashed no more;
the little ship was sailing on the smoothest sea,
but then a giant tentacle appeared on deck,
and as they hacked it off, a second arm...then three...
and in those icy waters there's nowhere to flee!

"I shall be like a tree planted by the river ... " Psalm 1:3
A myriad of stars, the milky stream connects.
The tree of life provides, resplendent fruit expects.
The tentacle of roots, under spacious blue skies.
The sip is free and close, such tenderness supplies.

memory begets anticipation
manifesting a subtle seeking
of a fragrance that we recall
which once enlivened our heart
yet this desire mitigates the pulse
of the new offering of the universe
available only at this very moment
thus we rest all memory imagery
and vaporise presence in the void
become nothing and yet the all
leaving one tentacle anchored in form
that we may live out our life span
moment by moment in as is ordained
to enrich our Self with the elixir of love

Painting with eight tentacles is Sloth
With seven paint brushes in his arms
And one tentacle holding a fix it cloth
Painting away his sadness, doing no harm.
What has happened to octopus one asks?
Why does he need to concentrate on a painting task?
His family has disappeared, and he is terribly sad.
This was told to us by his father, mother, brother and dad.

Meet my friends Nip also Tuck here
in my imaginary...
came to flabber, jabber with us,
Right there!
swimming together!
see them...
Nip is a master of diguises,
can change any color, skin texture,
rearange any tentacle size,
in water, murky! salt! a mixture
Tuck has super senses,
makes no mistake,
with intense vibrations,
can enter a metabolic state...
We'll go for some mouthwatering bites,
through my inner Abyss, one salty sea,
All- having insatiable appetites...
let's lose Tuck, so not to nip you or me,
on our way is a Laugh Inn Dinner,
delites, they serve, me'ate'o'rights,
taste better than condence...
'there'- We'll build confidence, or not,
We'll need to shed a tear
upon our sudden 'wake-up'
for our escape, without fear
an a tear, we'll need to take
to get back out, from here,
a single tear-drop, from an eye,
drip us, out of an optical sphere,
back...back...back from my minds-eye
for this dream will not reappear!

would, that there were four of me
the ways that I could pleasure thee
each tentacle to tender tickle
fancied freckles, firm or fickle
one all-at-once massage, divine -
all hands on deck, in grand design
perceptive palms with petting jives
could raise a rash of ‘rotic hives
oh, goosebumps of the finest kind
quadrupled thus to blow your mind
four tens of fingers, fixed just SO
to warm the embers down below
mass touches placed with dermal love
bear moans from zones rare spoken of
pray how could one but NOT adore
a mate like me, (and mine) …
times FOUR?!?

hasty journey south
tombstone circle k
wade through
wanna be cowboys
and rv queens
to check out counter
and zip
outta the parking lot
onto the open road
only to be
cut off
by a paint truck
laying lines
really?
crawling
down the highway
slower than a snail
no way to get back home
now
slow motion
anesthesia fade
kicking in
paint truck procession
will it ever end
finally
interstate cruising
and bless my soul
heart of saguaro forest
rising out of an arroyo
red, orange
violet streaked glow
mountain silhouette
thick stately grove
of slender giants
ordered rows
like teeth of black comb
marching over mountains
straight into eternity
against a sky
that steals
every color
horizon bathed
In deep rich
tangerine gold
purple, crimson
streaks bleeding out
stretching wide
thinning
like long tentacle tips
tenderly tickling
mountains
hovering barely above
psychedelic gynormous
octopus
breath taking
Arizona awe
damn paint truck
almost missed it

Pink octopus turned herself into an exquisitely beautiful woman.
She had round fat circular tentacle curls and fair skin, best of all, feet.
The mermaids were jealous as Pink lifted herself out of the Caribbean Sea.
She turned and gave them a thumbs up with her new left thumb.
They cheered wildly, which was fake. They truly hated her now.

During sunset reigns small blooms of blue
lovely is the enchanting azure bell flower
their tentacle roots grasp for evening dew
brightest in the midst of the golden hour
peepers sing during the long trail home.
I wish none were too old for a nature walk.
as green grasses will soon wither and die
the moon begins rising to a soaring goshawk
breezes touch the petals quivering and shy
We spend days content in the warmer times
watching lightning bugs dancing like stars
far away we hear the lovely wind chimes
a pair of Mourning Doves call from a tree
while a small Red Fox listens rather intently:
free.

I.
Written,
Upon a TV snap,
Exquisite implosion, for
Crippled words,
In land of lords, and
Crimson shepherds.
My I, and
Hands at play.
Now moments are
Me bitter.
To work then,
This sharp,
A blade to sunlight,
To cut our fat.
II.
A Howl,
In New York,
Black and white,
By the day's genius,
A fad long past,
With a wish, return.
When I Deep,
Held naked, In rhythm
His shaky, pitch,
Mantras voice,
Erect,
Brilliantly nasty,
Tentacle opean,
Nods to comrades.
III.
Need beats,
And crazy men,
Gay jew,Buddha alkee,
Agent Lunch,
For we are no better.
Personally,
Been raised by woman,
In there works,
Need wild Intel.
Abstractly man,
Baby.
IV.
Arrogantly, Once,
Proclaimed, I was
The beats reincarnate,
Madman's conciseness,
Now, Have to be.

The world is held hostage
Not by terror nor by gun.
But by a tiny microscopic being,
Spreading its tentacle like wild fire,
All over the surface of the globe.
The world is held hostage,
And the mighty man's heart melt like an ice,
Rummaging through his repertoire of knowledge,
Searching frantically for a potent weapon,
To contain the ravaging enemy,
Who knows no noble nor novice.
The world is held hostage,
And Africa seems to thrive on.
But for how long,
Shall we sit on this time bomb?
For how long,
Shall our tete-a-tete with COVID-19 end?

If I could get in among the green weeds
And pull them out by their long tentacle like roots
If I was willing I mean for it is certainly wet enough right now,
Some would come down like giant trees.
Intimidating me with both their girth and their
Amazing height that seemed to grow in minutes.
I stare at an especially large weed giant god
Which I swear was not in my garden yesterday
But is six foot tall today and I am overwhelmed.
The weed genies and the growing faeries
Must have worked overtime last night
As I slept in my bed, totally unaware.

Intent May Be Criminal
If the intent really had been criminal,
Was hidden and appeared subliminal;
No appeal;
Shady deal;
Tried to stick his nose with a tentacle.
