latent muted newfound observations, quests raging
bemuse our heart and confound the mind
maverick ego is at play again
inducing cravings we must leave behind
beguiled, confused, depraved ego feels guilty
such pangs of conscience usher dawn
entering silence the ripples cease
betwixt bliss beat’s rise we are reborn
prayerfully quiet radiant soul tames umbrage
deeming thought forms as but illusion
thus by doing nothing at all
flame of our innocence exits delusion
delightful empowering favours God Himself infuses
bliss magnetism cascading in feeble form
on choosing to shed our resistance
heart’s swept away in love’s benign storm
Her beauty turned to malison and woe,
As ladies, envious, scorn her radiant face,
Their hearts, inclined to rivalry, bestow,
A bitter enmity, her charm’s disgrace.
The world casts down her fortune with its spite,
Her colleagues seethe when she but speaks to one,
The officers and ministers, not right,
Exploit her grace, their honor left undone,
She faces all the world with matchless heart,
And ward the wolves in men with stead fast might,
Her struggle tames her family’s raging part,
To prove herself a lady of great light
A nation seeking progress shall revere,
Such women, striving still to persevere.
Faith’s cozy cottage
lies deep in the woods
Beckons trembling hearts
to partake of her Goods
Allays palpitations
assuages all fears
As she calms, as she tames
fresh rivers of tears
Everyone hates Rainy days
They’re so cold and grey
So why do they bring me peace?
How does it put my mind at ease?
The Storm matches my chaotic mind
Slowing things down so that I can unwind
The Rain washes out my pain
And the darkness neutralizes my brain
The weather aids my temper
It tames the raging fire
Cooling the blazing embers
Causing my hatred to retire
Rainy days allow my head to rest
Relieving the weight on my chest
Steals the piercing heartache
Healing the damage gained by my mistakes
What's not to love about Rainy days?
I can’t get enough
I must have more
I want more, I need more
More, more, more!
It’s what sustains me now
It’s what keeps me going
It’s what I must have to live
Keep ‘em coming!
It feeds my soul and tames my demons
I’m a better person because of it
It frees my spirit
The good, the bad and the ugly. I love it all!!!
It doesn’t give me the shakes or hangovers
Though sometimes I drool in anticipation
For an injection of enlightenment
You set me free!
I am a poetryaholic
I’m a poetry junky
I’m addicted and I need ...
More, more, more, and more!
I’ve replaced all my bad habits
With this new obsession
With you, I’ll never need rehab
Thanks for sharing!
The song of the heart is one that lazily floats down the river in the dusty light of the moon.
It rocks the mind and tames the soul.
This peaceful song brings timid trust and love through the hurry of the day and the calmness of the night.
It mends the pain and flows through the veins.
The song of the heart is one that is your own and shows you the path of unconditional love.
Ambition
is the best pursuit
the road to glory
calls
Ambition
is the worst pursuit
that leads to
your downfall
Ambition
tames the wildest beast
its jungle free
of thorns
Ambition
breeds the deepest hate
your future paved
— with scorn
(Dreamsleep: December, 2024)
Rain tames sizzling summer pavement as steam turns into evaporation
Gentle and loving heart is all.
It tames the stormy days’ wildness toll,
Subsiding the seemingly incomprehensible
Unfairness of the wild world numb contretemps.
Yet
It flames the homely wee joy,
Intensifying the nitty-gritty fathomably
Gift of everyday serendipity godsend--
And only when
the gentle and loving hearts (under)stand.

Gotta Love Alliteration 5-21-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gracious Grace
Endless effervescence of grace,
In riots of radiance, infected by innocence,
Seeks out the heart harassed by humiliation –
Wrapped in sleepless shrouds of incensed worry –
When alliterations of angst plunder soiled spirits with pandemonium
Grace, the eternal romantic, lavishes love.
Purity, born of playful purity,
Tames tempests of melancholy mistrals
As midnight murmurs into dawn’s jubilant joy
As dusky dews flow from fountains of forgiveness
With eternal elixirs from the everlasting
For the pensive plea of the penitent pilgrim.
Grace sings the ageless anthem of sweetest sanctuary
In honeyed breaths for the hobbled heart to inhale
Ever abiding loveliness, always in ascent,
Tingling with tenderness, opening soldered seas of sin,
Miracle made manifest in majestic melody
With promises penned in poems of peacefulness.
You say I'm sweet
but
it's you who tames
the Wild Beast.
It's no lie
until I met you
I had so much
rage deep inside,
so much anger
I couldn't hide.
Then you came along
filled my lungs
like a beautiful song,
turned something weak
into something strong,
allayed my fears,
dried my tears.
You chased away the rain
and suddenly all my
efforts ceased to feel like
they were allin vain.
Basically what I'm
trying to explain is
that having you around
made me less insane.
You who are
the beauty to my beast
the flour to my yeast
the day to my night
the savior to my plight
the right to my wrong
the sing to my song.
Now, I think you can see
where this is going
maybe next time you say
"you're so sweet"
you'll understand why
I sigh and smile
and shake my head
then we won't have
to go through this
all over again.
Divided droplets formed handheld mirth tames,
for they beheld Earth in their gentle fall,
like stars drop the night, all is heavens call,
know their named true, they'll climb make good their claims.
Burning blue eyes like shining star
Like sunshine with a fiery flare
Her gleaming glare from near or far
Tames the heat of a flaming stare
Her pouty lips of cherry red
Speak in silence of her great charm
The luscious look like heart that bled
Rouses a true love, sweet and warm
Her shiny skin, fairer than milk
Lights up the bleakness of faint nerve
Her glowing hair, softer than silk
Reflects the bright glow of her verve
Wondrous beauty without compare
Like a goddess from up above
Treating her ill would be unfair
For, life is the gift of her love
Air whispered wish with its all might
to rouse fire to groom so bright;
Fire has all the heat to give,
but, without air, fire can't live.
The fuel comes like unfolded maze,
like love comes from unforeseen place;
Heat, fuel, air make fire to glow
to warm the hearts as cold as snow.
With the spark of its sweet ember-
precious moments to remember,
the nights when lovers make their pray
to love forever, come to stay.
When heat of fire comes full rage,
the water rips its thorny cage;
Fire kneels in full submission,
water tames its wild volition.
