Its been a long time since I’ve felt blissful,
I know I’m the one to shoulder any blame.
Bliss ended long before years turned golden,
too many matters I’ve allowed to inflame.
I’ve always been, for the most part, a loner,
crowds and idle chit chat I’ve tried to avoid.
Married sixty years to the same woman,
Just two D.I.N.K.S. one in need of Freud.
But surveying the past changes nothing,
so musings should focus on time unspent.
But the future holds no aspirations for me,
it’s just about time to take down the tent.
But throughout my life I have been blessed,
faith in God has seen me through each test.

War Machine
Get ready to bring down the house.
The politicians took down the barriers.
Weare running out of time.
Missiles are flying.
Wehave lost our independence.
Put up your fist.
The people have decided.
Stand up and fight.
Take down walls of reason.
Stand up and keep on believing.
The government is corrupt.
Weare taxed to death, don’t give up.
Be vigilant.
Don’t be silent.
Put the suits and ties in jail.
Without bail.
This country belongs to us.
The phony politicians are below us.
Weare one as a unit.
Stand strong and push through it.
Too many lies.
Raid our enemies and say goodbye.

It’s time to stop pussyfootin’ around
time to bite the bullet and bear down
Time to forget Gaza, Hamas and Hezbollah
time to go after the ‘big fella’
It’s time to take down Iran
the only way Israel’s war will be won
Time to do so by whatever means necessary
For Iran is your number one adversary
Forty-five years she’s funded proxies’ terror
To let her be has been a huge error
So, go on the attack, Israel. Quick, take her out
There’s no longer one grain of doubt
Trump will be sitting this out
Or is Israel just hot air ~ Netanyahu, all talk

What is left,
what remains
beyond pain at my leaving
as memories fade
at the end of your grieving
when the tide in which you wade
is not so cold and not so deep
what then my love
which memories will you keep,
the echo of my voice
wrapped in memory,
pressed in a book
will you take a look
but not too hard,
don’t stay too long,
remember me fondly
when I am gone
then take down my picture
and carry on

God shows me favor in so many, many ways.
He lets me atone for my life back in the days.
He allowed me to become one of His favorite sons.
He gave me "Meika" who stands second to none.
He gives me the strength to take down my foes.
And, gives me knowledge to stay on my toes.
If God has favor in somebody like me.
I'm down with Him through all eternity.

Take is a most versatile word
Take back
Take down
Take out
None of these meanings absurd
Take away
Take off
Take over too
I would like to be this versatile, wouldn’t you?

Time passes on and quickly all is changed.
Spirits are different, yet youthful, yet old.
A world once warmed with love’s illusion’s cold.
Keepsakes bring back the memories, rearranged.
I wrote to express my feelings, so strong,
in metaphors and similes of verse.
This volume to my wounded soul, did nurse,
making sweet song of quantum ills of wrong
Take down this book, my love, so gently, please.
And open it softly, to read alone,
feeling the passion placed within each poem.
Travel your hands upon the past, with ease.

Take down the photos
of rivers run dry
Throw out the offerings
to the gods of luck and time
Claw for the right words
Spit them out on the pavement
Carve this life into a home
Know you'll never want for comfort
Know you'll always be alone

Why were you at the canal so long?
Even you said that its a wasteland.
Reclamation of this waste,
so its true artisan nature can thrive.
I've seen so many artists out there just like you,
but you say its dangerous.
We can't lose artists,
what would happen if there were no artists?
I know you don't want me around that avenue,
but I had to find you.
I found you with your blue bike,
I saw your tire was broke down.
I saw the police take down a person,
I saw the fentanyl.
I saw the ducks,
I saw the canal.

Remember, remember the 5th of November.
The gunpowder plot, that was supposed to dismember.
A failed plot by Guy Fawkes to take down the Crown.
With his cache of explosives, to bring a government down.
Now a night of Thanksgiving as they foiled the plot.
While bonfires burn, with Fawkes effigy on top.
A celebration of fireworks, dance like stars in the night.
As we gather together with much joy and delight.
The bonfires are blazing with Guy Fawkes on display.
His effigy crackles as the flames dance and sway.
It's a tale from the past as they did apprehend.
As the effigy of Fawkes meets its fiery end.
So here's to the 5th, for its sparkle and sizzle.
A time for reflection as those fireworks fizzle.
It's a lesson from history that will never grow old.
As we give thanks, whilst we cherish the freedoms, we hold.

Most people in this
Day and time, live there
Lives believing in lies
They know better but
That’s what they choose to believe
In order to take down one person
They’re risk destroying hundreds
Not thinking that they’ll soon
Be hurt in the process because
Believe it or not
You can’t take down GOD!
Nor interrupt his plans

I wish I had nothing to lose
I wish I could fly
I wish I could leave
I wish I could die
and take down with me
the story of my life
to be buried in a in a place
no one could ever possibly find.
And i don't a knight
to rescue me
I'm good alone
just like it is
I just like to vent
what tries to kill
my desire to love
my desire to live.

Everybody has the freedom to choose,
don't stop living because of your choice;
nobody can sway you from words of persuasion,
come what may: you'll withstand any intrusion!
No, without the freedom of choice
one is forces to obey the set rules,
then disappointment will amount to woes:
be determined, shake all souls in demise!
They'll try to sugarcoat their despicable lies quickly,
don't agree to anything that's sound too unrealistic;
we all have the freedom of choice: be realistic
and push forward, don't be deceived by money!
No, without the freedom of choice is anarchy,
wrap your knuckle head around this harsh reality;
don't take down your flag: it stands for equality:
be proud of who you are, don't fall for fallacy!

I love the snow and beautiful blue skies,
gentle rain and thunderstorms,
winds that blow the fall leaves,
leaving a gold carpet up to my knees.
I don't like duratio winds,
or tornados that suddenly blow in,
earthquakes that take down walls,
or warm fronts that stall.
When flood warnings are posted,
I always wish I had a boat,
the threats are real,
I really hope I float.
Mud slides are wild,
I'm glad that in Ohio,
they aren't that common,
but I loved making mud pies as a child.
Ice storms leave a beautiful scene,
the icicles hanging like daggers,
salt trucks are loaded just in case,
getting it all organized is a race.
A beautiful blue moon,
that we see above,
all the things we've learned,
everyday at noon.
The weather man that taught us all,
no matter the conditions,
the one accurate reporter,
his name is Jym Ganahl.
My favorite lore of his,
after the first forsythia blooms,
there will be three more snow falls,
an intelligent man to know all this.
I hope he enjoys his retirement,
for many years to come,
we will often think of him,
when we can't find the sun.
