Syllable Structure Poems

The Sphere In Trouble

We are in bad times
Army of violent clouds
Clashing fiercely in the sky

With golden lashes
Beating rumbling monster drums
Deadly pandemonium

Our wonderful sphere
Is lonely in trembling fear
Aylan, the child in ocean

Premium MemberFragrance of Rain- a Lento

Form Lento is not included in PS's list, So I have named it rhyme. Please see the
form Lento explained below the poem)

Fragrance of Rain - A Lento

Running with hand in hand in the hazy rain
Feeling the warmth, drenched in each other
Living on the moments, besieged by haze
Nothing, not a fraction of the day matters.

Care not to go home with the umbrella closed
Share the drops dribbling down window pane
Fire inside, glowing in smiles and hugs shared
Slumbered to sleep by, in the foggy rain.

Lento Poetry ~ abcb defe/ First Word In Each Line Should Rhyme
A Lento consists of two quatrains with a fixed rhyme scheme of abcb, defe - the second
and forth lines of each stanza must rhyme. The fun part of this poem is that all the
first words of the first verse should rhyme and then all the first words of the second verse
should rhyme. There is no fixed syllable structure to the Lento.

Love Rippled

Don't wake me from the dream, if this is a dream
Throne we shall sit, when we celebrate life after scar
Alone in my sanity more or less drives me crazy
Drone of the dark life has sunk me too far

Let me dwell and safe in your arm
Set me free from the bondage of tangled chain
Vignette of this might be fragile or blur
Yet we have survived beneath the pouring rain

Note: First attempt in "Lento form"

A poetic form created by Lencio Dominic Rodrigues, the Lento is named after it's creator, taken from his first name Lencio and rhymed to Cento, an existing form of poetry.

A Lento consists of two quatrains with a fixed rhyme scheme of abcb, defe as the second and forth lines of each stanza must rhyme. The fun part of this poem is thrown in here as all the FIRST words of each verse should rhyme. There is no fixed syllable structure to the Lento, but keeping a good, flowing rhythm is recommended. Feel free to try! :D

Forty-five
dollar payoff.
I would rather play poker!

Random Thoughts 59 the Lento

**Lento**

"A Lento consists of two quatrains with a fixed rhyme scheme of abcb, defe as the second
and forth lines of each stanza must rhyme. To take it a step further, but not required, try
rhyming the first and third lines as well as the second and forth lines of each stanza in this
rhyming pattern: abab, cdcd. The fun part of this poem is thrown in here as all the FIRST
words of each verse should rhyme. There is no fixed syllable structure to the Lento, but
keeping a good, flowing rhythm is recommended." (ShadowPoetry.com)

Daydream

Hands wrapped tightly, I have her in a strangle hold
Plans, to watch the blood drain from her eyes.
Enhanced desires emerge in this daydream, I
Dance and laugh at her demise

Afflicted by this treacherous and spiteful wench,
Conflicted, no longer thinking with a clear mind.
Addicted to the image depicted in this daydream.
Evicted, her life force drained and I feel fine.
