calendar pages turn
as sun drops lower in his orbit
tired of living the zenith.
So as be some old souls of earth
tiring of the film of greed
of the me-me-me-and-only-meisms common of the day
ready to step aside into a new tomorrow
graced surely with hope of a not-so-dark walk
a passing through a sunset of today into a sunrising
into the glory bless of a new tomorrow.

The little things that I write,
light;
the first of day.
Like the first of life
born this way;
Alive.
It's the little things that I write
that brings to light
the gifts that truly
delight
of soul.
O' the precious
of deep.
Time, tides, and moon beams
still linger on the scene,
even a I prepare
the sunrising.

JOSHUA TREE GIG
My love isn't dead; but it's dying;
I searched for truth and I thought it was you.
When I understood you were lying,
I loved you more, for what good it would do.
My love is the fire of sunrising,
road to L.A. through the Joshua Tree.
My songs are not all that surprising,
each word is you, but they're coming from me.
My love is a hand that is shaking;
locking of eyes so I can't even see.
Your love is my greatest mistaking,
my love is dying, but dead cannot be.

As the day of morn breaking through
Sunrising from the east
Coffee brewing just about done
time to go out on the deck
converse as always
with my bodyguard
Twas as same as always
we done each
early morn..
But this time
Twas quite different
For tis be..
he did not come
As I went unto him..
to where his room tis be
I found him...
my eyes.. my heartful of tears
For all the many many years
Tis man went out of his way
Just to make me happy
to make safe...
Each and everyday...
Tribulations and trials
We all must face...
Never ever knowing
The moment...
We meet our Maker
Face to face....
My Beloved Bodyguard
For tis each day.. still the same
I have coffee .. on the deck
Where we always would be...
Conversing.. and just shooting the breeze
As these days... for I know
Someday we shall meet again
Within Heavens gates..
Come to Jesus
For Time is the essences..
Never know.. when time shall be
Or who first.. will step into eternity..
As my Beloved Bodyguard
Ow.. I do miss him.. deeeply...
