Dem does get on my nerve now
A de thinking dem gone change they ways
But it getting worse by the days
Tell meh why we can't be civilize
Is like dem see a plum tree
And ain't waiting fo de plum get ripe
Always wanting the first bite

When you see dem get money
Dem whole attitude change
But when dem get broke
Oh lawd
Dem like uncivilized ape
I can't tek dem now
But every dog get dem day
A gone hide meh fang
And give dem a taste of they own medicine
You wait and see
My house ain't get place fo bad minded people

Premium Member Prose Poem the Poetic

Words, verbs, adjectives, aimless, past times made present, amalgams of verse unshaped, until imagination's birth bursts from the spring of my maturity to awake, arise as ideas and fly free on imagination's unfettered wings ,blown to and fro to settle where they will with nowhere to hide, buried deep within long forgotten dreams until becoming clear ,as words floating like petals on a stream;a fragrance that lingers within, as a passage of light to my soul, inspiration to make me whole.. delineated as a pattern of thought ,a ribbon of inspiration as a verse.
Suh tumultuous discussions within ,these images strive for life just as a new-born wriggles from the womb. I merely provide the mute, as multiplied, thoughts trained by the subconscious becomes a workaday drama. The inner made outer.Inherent originality conceived, perceived, crystallised, beneath the now ..in relief.

The Sad Truth

While you spend the time intellectualizing and politicizing Jodiann's death
Remember someone pickney dead
Because of discrimination and power play let's call it as it is .

A child don't have her mother.

Yes another report comes out without hope because a nuh one big man pickney dead
My question is ...would you want anyone to treat your pickney suh
Mi afraid to cough and sneeze because you will think is COVID-19 ...you think you any better than them doctor...just watch your own reaction when someone cough and sneeze ...yuh ask is that COVID-19

Discrimination is real

Many call for Tufton to resign ...a him did discriminate?
In case you never hear... he was never there.
Stop the politics and call out the doctor them name
Because them never care.
There was a time when doctors believe that all lives matters but today mi question that
Now a child without her mother
A mother without a daughter
A sister without her sister
And a lover without his mate
Just because a doctor discriminate
they never cared
At the end of the day that what it boil down to ...them never care .. only their life matters.

After
sunset
fine rain
falling
falling
without
clouds to
be seen

"Suh-RAN"
is how
you say
the word
a nice
one that
my ear
has heard

Nigh Night

Nigh Night
A nigh night t’night,
Come mek wi go dung a Miss Jane.
Mek sure yuh wear something red
Cause wi gwen pass di cemetery before we reach Miss Jane
For duppy get mad when rum and drum a beat.
Cause when rum and drum a beat, duppy come from all bout pon di street.
Yuh never believe di amount a duppy dat meet an’ greet.

Woi! Yuh feel di cool breeze?
Wi deh near di cemit’ry.
Oonu walk fass! Cause dem dupppy yah bare face.
Mi head a raise, di spirit deh near
Kibba yuh mout’! mek wi hurry and pass.
Ah… ah… ah… ah…
A wah dat mi hear?
Dat mus be a man duppy,
Cause a dem have no fear!
Mi frighten suh till mi heart move up and down out a place!

Si di light deh! A one more corner, an wi reach.
Yuh hear di drum beat dancing through the tree leaves.
Di rhymes and riddims creating the melody of the beat
Causing duppy and living to stand to dem feet.
Dem yah duppy nuh need nuh cake soap fi bleach
Nor toothbrush fi brush teeth
Fi dem look’s natral
So be careful who you meet, kiss or greet
Cause duppy no longer walk only a night pan di streets.
