Streamlets Poems | Examples

Bestirs but a shallow mind

I see streamlets gush
On hilly terrains entwined,
Rare do rivers rush,
Silent and sure, sound they wind,
Bestirs but a shallow mind.

If Vulcan Wakes

If Vulcan Wakes (c) 2025 by The Entangled Pair

If Vulcan fully wakes again and shakes his fiery dreads
unleashing hell in all it's fury on our fearful heads
I tell you once again my friends in words of common rhyme
we perish not in watery graves but in the fires this time

can't see the forest for the trees
can't see the flame for all the fires
can't see the streamlets for the flood
can't see the needs behind desires

if I'm the fire love, you're the spark
that sets my very soul aflame
and when I dance, I dance for you
the one who knows my sacred name

as I dance naked for you now
I feel no fear, no hint of shame
just the love and joy and rapture
that my heart cannot restrain
and so I dance for you my lover
comfortably in pain

now let us burn again my love, not in fear but passion,
let the fires now forge us stronger in their molten fashion.
if this world must end in ash, in cinders or in glowing coals
then let us kiss at end of time while wading through the shoals

and as we kiss our eyes must close as we are inward gazing
because if we must fall my love, we fall together, blazing

Premium MemberHealing Embrace

Clouds of despair drifted in seamless sky of sorrow,
storm surged from the dismal horizon of mind’s visage,
showered tears in psychic streamlets in torrential flow,
like the rolling rills of raindrops on the face of foliage.

All the dark clouds didn’t dissolve in the deluge of grief,
a lone clump clasped the crushed heart in emotion deep,
like the raindrops concealed in the fold of sodden leaf,
waited within me to wail for the promises you didn’t keep.

With the emotive brine condensing agony in pail of pain,
the teardrops got poised on the eyelashes for a while.
Like the slithering raindrops the leaning leaves drain,
they slid down slowly with the dreams’ debris pile.

Down the crumbled creases of the pallid cheek,
cascaded the silent streams of soothing grace.
A touch of divine succor the mangled mind could seek
in the course of teardrops and in its healing embrace.

Precious Raindrops

Precious raindrops tumble down
weaving nature's beaded gown

Lilting breezes stir the air
braiding Gaia's silver hair

Bees and warblers hum and sing
when the snow caps melt in spring

Diamond streamlets dance along
with their tinkling crystal song

Waterfalls in feathered white
cascade from their noble height

Winter's chains all fall away
leaving life to build the day

Premium MemberBerkshire Stream

Born of snow on Berkshire Mountain,
winter’s beauty lies a sleeping.
Snow on snow in layers piling
Kept in place by nature’s freezer

When the voice of springtime whispers,
days are longer, air grows warmer.
Sleeping beauty starts her stirring,
melting, moving, freely flowing.

Berkshire weeping tears of labor,
water trickles through the channels,
left by previous birthed streamlets.
Merging, melding, gently, gliding.

First a trickle, weak and feeble.
Then like ski jets swiftly skimming,
over rocks and fallen timber,
downward dashing, gullies, gashing.

When the thunder starts to rumble,
And the clouds are rent asunder.
Raindrops pour as pails of water,
Causing stream to roar and thunder.

After months of Berkshire weeping,
Like a broken faucet flowing,
tears abate, the crying ceases.
Summer’s ending, streambed drying.

Premium MemberThe Last Drop of Tear

Cloud of despair rose from the seamless sea of sorrow,
storm surged from the dismal horizon of mind’s visage,
melted in many streamlets of tear to torrentially flow,
like the rolling rills of rain drops on the face of foliage.

All the dark clouds didn’t dissolve in the deluge of grief,
in a lone clump froze splinter of memory in emotion deep,
like the rain drop lying concealed in the fold of sodden leaf,
waited in me to wail for the promises I could never keep.

Before the ending of our pledged journey you had gone,
left forlorn, I crumbled within the debris of the fallen sky.
Hidden cloud clump melted in remorse, remotely known,
as it upwelled within me all the restraints I felt it did defy.

The spent sun set on strewn spoils of my shattered heart,
from dust of despair shards of my life couldn’t rise anew.
As the destined time came for me with the call to depart,
the cloud of memory shed the last drop of tear for you.

Premium MemberWith Love For You

Sun flow progressed from east to west,
with rays of light, the day is blessed.
Like suns imbue, rays beaming through,
my heart still shines with love for you.

Sun rays presume that flowers bloom,
and fill the air with sweet perfume.
Like flowers hue of red and blue,
my heart still blooms with love for you.

The charmed mystique of forest creek
that trickles down a mountain’s cheek.
Like streamlets spew their water through,
my heart still flows with love for you.

From Moon’s soft glow, the moonbeams flow,
and light the darkness down below.
Like moonbeams strew the silvery hue,
my heart still glows with love for you.

A candle’s light glows in the night
as shadows dance with calm delight.
Like flames that grew with heat on cue,
my heart still burns with love for you.

Premium MemberThe Wondrous Stream

Consistently, you move along,
   winding in and out,
gliding with stealth and grace-
   a stream that began
so narrow and small, but
   grew to a wondrous length.

With a weave of branchlets,
   jutting everywhere,
joining in freely from
   the most powerful
central source, you gift your
   constant, gushing song.

Oh, great rushing stream,
   you are the sacred life
that feeds this precious place
where you flow, day after day,
with steady, pulsing ripples
   from your core.

From an endless surge, you
   and your tiny streamlets
nourish well this host.
   Oh, sweet gift of life!
I am alive- by your full stream
   of rich, flowing blood.

The Mountains Are Calling

From pine-scented forests, past boulders and streams,
To clear lakes encircled by murals and dreams
Where bright clouds emblazon a warm azure sky,
A trail through the mountains is one I must try.

When bluebells stop blooming and nighttime grows cold,
The breeze makes the aspen trees shimmer with gold.
The chirp of the pika is scarce to be heard;
The eerie elk-bugle is now the watchword.

The sounds and their season soon snuffed out by snow,
The silky white peaks wear a pink, sensual glow
At sunrise when raw arctic blasts turn serene,
Inviting to view how they’ve sculpted the scene.

As ice turns to water and lush green arrives,
The crags reappear and new wildlife thrives.
Soon streamlets will gurgle and columbines grow;
The mountains are calling and I must go.

Winter

A stormy, cold scraped winter sight,
quiet song birds forsake flight,
down fluffed on pale limbs lucite,
a fantasy landscape, pearl blue.

In grey tone wrap, mist frozen dew,
her smooth complexion, silver hued,
Luna surveys earth's wild retinue
in closed dens of hibernate sleep.

Snow drifts creep the mountain steeps
and cuddle velvet valleys, deep,
where black streamlets forget to leap,
their summer memories iced still.

Winter plys her voluminous skill,
snow sculpting on each vale and hill;
queen portrait of a glass toned will
mirrored in each hardened lake.

She cherishes a world opaque,
makes the sun his warmth forsake;
the seasonal round's numb heartache,
a stormy, cold scraped winter sight.

Rocky Highland

To these swinging trees with a sound,
rays of light, sloping meadows, glades,
cold, humid walls of cooling shades –
 to denizens of the land.

Flowers hugged in the boulders’ rift
with wind shaking stems of herbals,
 evoked thoughts beyond words –
passing slowly with a tram lift.

Talus to the peaks and mosses,
next to trees, huts of logs, grasses,
 sparking beauty, cozy hamlets.

 Bonded with life and harmony,
man to ponder nature’s glory –
 fecund valleys, tarn-eyes’ streamlets.

Premium MemberSpring Time

Showers fall and robins call.
Buds grow on the trees.
Meadows green; long grasses lean
warmed by April’s breeze.

Flowers beam and streamlets gleam
on each mountain slope.
Colors sing and everything
blossoms love and hope.

Life In Flow

Life in flow.

O River! play on your placid music through the meadows,
Crystal clear, glowy streamlets flow yet you are still much there,
You murmur to me a tale of truth, trust, perseverance,
Flipping fishes you feed are merry, fresh, energetic,
When I swim in you,you make me strong and quench my thirst too.
