Quote: “Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror.” ~ Khalil Gibran

In the stillness of a pond, pure and clear,
The lilies dance, their beauty sincere.
Each petal reflected, every detail near,
In the mirror of water, devoid of fear.

A calm ocean mirrors the skies above,
Where larks soar high, on wings of love.
Their graceful flight, a sight to behold,
In the vast expanse, their stories unfold.

But alas, when algae cloud the pond's embrace,
Or waves disrupt the ocean's tranquil grace,
The reflections fade, lost without a trace,
Obscured by nature's chaotic chase.

So too, the pure heart, a spotless mirror,
Reflects infinite beauty, clearer and clearer.
But when veiled by doubts or tainted by fear,
The images blur, unable to adhere.

Let us tend to our hearts with utmost care,
Keeping them clean, and free from despair.
For in their depths, lies a beauty rare,
Reflecting the universe, in a love affair.

Peace on the wings of a dove

Are preserved but so hard to find

And all those gifts from above

Are reserved for the spotless mind

Spotless Light

Amidst sizzling sky,
I hang alone there waiting
to embrace your pristine light

The pure light from you
nullifies my torid zone,
highlights my silver lining

Premium Member In My Mind It Remains Spotless

was the floor swept today,
waxed and ready
for no crumbs to fall?

others sleep in your house...
do they gather drinking glasses
in the night?

Jesus stood colorfully tall
on your dresser,
whimsical nuns whirled
and sang in your curio…

are they curious
do they know the one
who cared for each corner?

when they wind the steps
to the attic room
do they feel your panic,
your out of breath plea,
“I need help”

do they hear your heart beating
in the crisp clean slumber of dawn?

A Spotless Mind

A spotless mind frought with mirrors
a tainted heart astounded in splendors
a love abound with song and tremors
a faded dream left adrift among the dreamers

A mind less muddled but free to think
a truth less hidden between a blink
a thought once cherished now amiss
a love remembered through a memory's kiss

I held on to you between these dreams
my hands not strong enough to fight these things
of darkness and fright tomorrow brings naught
a love like yours lost and our memory forgot

Challenge... Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Tribute.

Ice covered ponds and snow covered beaches
Lost memories of Clemintine,
Rush back to me at once
As I listen to this tape...
Rewind, and listen again
It seems that she forgot me,
And I forgot her too
Like three boxes of puzzle pieces,
scattered out before me

Confusion has set in
In an attempt to rebuild,
Lost memories of Cleminitine
I wish I'd stayed
Now I wish I'd stayed
I wish I had done a lot of things
I walked out the door
There's no memory left
I wish I had kept,
Lost memories of Cleminitine
And "How happy is the blameless,
Vestal's lot,
The world forgetting,
By the world forgot,
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind,
Each prayer accepted,
Each wish resigned."

(Last few lines pulled from Alexander Pope's "Eloisa to Abelard")
