A Spotless Mind

A spotless mind frought with mirrors
a tainted heart astounded in splendors
a love abound with song and tremors
a faded dream left adrift among the dreamers

A mind less muddled but free to think
a truth less hidden between a blink
a thought once cherished now amiss
a love remembered through a memory's kiss

I held on to you between these dreams
my hands not strong enough to fight these things
of darkness and fright tomorrow brings naught
a love like yours lost and our memory forgot
