Splendidness Poems

Dice, the goddess of morals, asked her mother, Themis
Why there's divorce, gambling, abortion, and alcoholism?
Why should dehumanization, like a Bloodstone, beamish?
Why should knives of nemesis nip the knots of neutralism?

Cores of conscience, like collapsed castles, Themis said, crash
The self within the inner sanctum, like sand grains, is split.
Joy, peace, harmony, happiness, and self-fulfillment clash
Empathy and sympathy submit to apathy's conflict.

Demons in humans delicately dominate their domains.
As though white sheep amongst black cattle, they cudgel their brains.
Their will to do good, like delinquent house dogs, is in chains.
Blood of cutthroat competitions, to win, flows in their veins.

Honesty should guide one and all, Themis said to Dice.
Summit of self-splendidness alone will never suffice.

I'm fazed by your stunning, teeth exaltedness
It's sumptuous when you show your sublimeness.
You turned that rose branch like a rosebud softness.

Betting finely on one's heart's splendidness.
Moon is full, and my heart is whetted to your goodness.
Your deep and allured ties spur love niceness.

Your touch thrusts my spirit in a final motionless.
Don't roar when you lam the sole soul weariness.
Every single hymn in the sanctum is boundless.

Breathing in the chromatic fields
such tranquility as it yields.
to fade away the winter’s gloom
and celebrate the springtime blooms.

With elation of souls caress
I inhale the splendidness;
the aroma cache has been renewed
with sweet scents buds imbued.

Walking in the greenery
a kaleidoscope of scenery;
imprints its’ love upon my soul
as river sings upon its’ roll.

Inundating cascade of flora and fauna;
has me celebrating Gaia’s Nirvana.

Premium MemberParis, I Dream

Although I seem distracted, my concentration is keen.
I'm telling you I have it LICKED on this SUBJECT. I
HAVE NO NEED OF RHYMING LINES TO ASSIST MY
PENMANSHIP.

BUT LATELY I'VE BEEN thinking OF a trip... to
PARIS. HOW GRAND would that be? But CONCENTRATION
IS KEY! And PARIS is so distracting, with its SACK OF
BRILLIANT SIGHTS TO SEE. THE EIFFEL TOWER I FEEL
THE POWER OF POETRY.

PARIS' S. Splendidness, I ADMIRE. BUT SOLITUDE IS A
TASKMASTER TO WHIP MY PEN ACROSS THE PAGE RESULTING
IN my own unique creation. THEREFORE I will not engage in such
A trip. IN SPITE OF THAT, I will LEARN FRENCH INCH BY INCH.
AND PARIS WILL REMAIN A DREAM.

The Visitor

Corvus corax with croaking cries
Why look at me with one black eye?

Your presence here I’d not request
What seek you in black splendidness?

Why perch you there on bended bough
Hid beneath your feathery shroud?

Why stare at me with solemn bent
Why do you croak a dark lament?

Begone! Dark shiny messenger
Sound your dirgeful hymn elsewhere.

But still it perched unmoved in tree
And now both eyes transfixed on me.

Unfolded wings that made no sound
The visitor alight to ground

And plucked an iris growing near
I knew right then its purpose here.
