Broke and Sox Started to Soak

when he had been broke
worn out sox started to sock
became a big joke

Never tell a person wearing two different sox that they have them on the wrong feet.

Bobby Sox and Penny Loafers Dwm

Bobby sox and penny loafers,
donned the feet of the 1950 teens
as they danced away at the sock hop,
slipping and sliding doing the bop.

Pony tails swayed with the beat,
as poodle skirts twirled with the flow
brightly colored neck scarfs caught the sweat,
crewcut fellas led their dates without fret.

Lights flashed on and off near closing time,
couples slowed down with a waltz,
hugging close and being much in love,
cooing sweet nothings like a loving dove.

It is turning into an all nighter...
Each world series team turn into a fighter
Thirteenth inning and the game still going
Hits, slides and exciting ball throwing
A hurt player, still brings in a run
Putting the Red Sox ahead by one
It is after 1 AM with excitement and fun
Go Sox, for this game to be won! :)

Now, it is after 2AM and time to write more!
A record breaking game with a tie score!
As a home run distance hit just made
But too far to the right, as the crowd does fade
It would have been the winner run for LA
6 hours and 25 minutes into this today!
We are now into the 16th inning!
Still waiting to see who will be winning!
Onward we go...with this historic game.
I hope you enjoy the highlights, just the same

Finalization:

The longest series game ended 18 innings long
Both teams kept up the challenge all along
Dodgers won the game, late on the clock
For tonight, Go Sox! Waiting the next... tick-tock.

The Red Sox flare is now on fire
The excitement certainly does inspire
Another fun game, waiting to see
The World Series is the place to be
Go Sox, we say here in the east!
They’ve earned their way to say the least
Today weather brought a 2nd rainbow to Fenway
Starting memorable times, in history to stay

Angels Wearing Sox

Angels Wearing Sox

Always wondered when angels wear sox,
And ones I see usually have curly locks;
Place won't forget;
I did and do regret;
Again must have mis-placed her box.

This is true in process of putting
Christmas things away.

If I ever did
2004 2007 2013
Believe in this team
Can we control ourselves
And let them play up
To potential
A rallying cry
Goes out
Above the green monster
As Napoli is a hero
Not just to me

Today's Red Sox

two-thousand-four
losers no more

Boston Red Sox
out of the rocks

contenders again
beginning to win

three word series wins
no more Babe Ruth sins

now Ortiz calling it quits
won't send the Sox to the pits

for they're stronger than strong
without doing a wrong

The Red Sox Sonnet

The outfield Yaztremski Lynn and Evans
Is the greatest Red Sox outfield all time
Red Sox never had Seavers nor Ryans
Clemens and Tiant did shine in prime time

Francona is the man that made them shine
Winning two world series with him in charge
They had plenty of reasons to drink wine
Their pitchers are winners and their bats large

Nineteen-Eighty-Six was Buckner’s nightmare
Today Varitek is behind the plate
Helping Papelbon with his scary stare
The mighty Red Sox has somehow changed fate

Boston Red Sox are champions always
They’ll even make a few more double plays

This is a sonnet I wrote a few years ago.

Where Is the Red Sox Pride

They were dubbed as being the greatest than ever before

Expectations were high even though they hadn’t begun to score

Huge salaries and talent some say they would be the best

But they couldn’t play together as a team as they were put to the test

Injuries happened, sometimes when they got the call

There was no fire in their heart as they started to fluster and fall

A team is suppose to rise no matter what the challenge or ill weather

Instead they plummeted with the worst baseball meltdown ever

We look up to them as heros but with their failure some cried

Now that the season is over maybe they will search and find there Boston Red Sox pride

Who is to blame for all of this some think that it is very clear

Find your heart in the off season sox players and thank God there will be a next year

Premium Member The Red Sox of 2004

In October of 2004,
“The Curse of the Bambino” was no more.

Boston Red Sox fans had never seen
a World Series victory since 1918.
It seemed ever since Babe Ruth was sold,
only Red Sox fans who were very old,
would ever see their team take it all.
Elusive would be the World Series in the fall.
The teams would win pennants for many years.
However, World Series contests would bring tears
to many a Red Sox fans’ eye.
It seems winning always passed them by.
Since the days of Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski,
Red Sox fans would never see
their favorite team achieve victory.

However, in the season of 2004,
the losing ways would continue no more.
They met the National League team from St. Louis.
This team possessed great baseball prowess.
When the Red Sox met the Cardinals at Fenway,
this time, victory would not get away.
Red Sox fans expressed great elation.
They all rejoiced in jubilation.
