jampacked city streets
that jangled and banged
in the raucous jarring day
shifted
from business to boogaloo
squeezing into moonlight
party lights
gin and lime-kissed
gimlet sequined dress
strutted
in studded six-inch heels
riveting flair
provoking jive and jazzy nights
to tame this lion of New York
The bed swallowed the evening
sucked-up in slumbered
sobering snooze
exhaling the drunkard’s stench
while the warmth of whiskey
and you next to me
laid dreamy still
popped up and propped up
restless and ragged
realizing the changing view
through the dirt-stained window
a pool of placid sunrise
igniting
colorless clustered towers
bulwarks and girders
scraping the sky
out of the easterly clouds
a creeping golden palette
arose
touching every crevice
defining each silhouette
your body stirs deliberate and slow
rainbow hued eyes
slenderly slitted catching
the new-found light
opening, tenderly revealing
the landscape of your smile
disclosing
a cozy contentment
waking with hello
as I fall into your dream
and a new day

Willow trees wave gently on the stream.
In the breeze, casting cover for hiding fish.
Thin trees float readily as if lost in a dream.
If only a breeze would bestow my wish.
The water played the lush leaves tenderly.
making waves that sweep across a calm lake.
Blue and green created a color so slenderly
Let us not spoil this calm scene, for God sake
Water larvae are difficult to spot.
Lovely birds with their wings held dots.
They quietly glide by on waterways.
Disrupted mirror images of the skies.
Sunlight filtering through cotton clouds.
Everybody has different faces and sounds.
Dappled shade from the summer's sunlight.
Umbrella to shelter together, in delight.
Storms have arrived and set the mood.
Natural disasters have led to limb shrewd.
The willow remains unbowed and erect.
Head held high as it stoops to connect.

their twin heart fires alighted
two passionate flames
one truly was excited
other full of blames
their merger was completing
disappointment too
her high hopes were depleting
she was glad they're through
her partner sought empathy
from her cousin Sue
now he gets no sympathy
no glance, no boo hoo
her new life is marvelous
she made her escape
a pioneer courageous
smooth as a new grape
so tell this tale tenderly
choose the words so well
choose the verbs most slenderly
do not oversell
okay if you titillate
difficult not to
you might even scintillate
speaking of these two

Slenderly community
The land of sobers
Enough for plunderers
Ground of Ivory
Home of diamond and gold
Is now Magufulized
No more embezzling
Lazy are working
Respecting their roles
No more liquoring
This is the land
We all dreamed by
Reviving the airline
Is the biggest witchcraft
7 wings were booked
5 have already landed
I enjoyed several trips
It is a miracle that exist!
The giant is shining
Suffocating capitalist
As much as fraudulent
For they are terribly squeezed
In jail cell like shanties
For they lacked patriotism
By smuggling national cake
Go Magu, go!
Dig down to their pockets
Suffocate them deeply
Till dehydrated completely
Do more, do!
Open the roads for business to grow
Build flyover for traffic to perish
Construct SGR for easy transportation
Do the stieglers to boost economy
Our thumbs are yours 2020
For ant corrupt Tanzania

Felled down to ground by a terrorist’s round,
A rendezvous with death.
Twas the destiny by fate indeed, that Unnikrishnan met,
Plucked away into his prime, gallant efforts in vain.
Had he have cautioned slightly more accompanied by twain,
The nation would have gained a son,
And saved his loved ones pain.
For every bullet made for gun a marking on its path,
The one’s it slenderly misses, live to tell the aftermath.
A man confined to train so hard,
Protected from all glass and shard.
Unfortunately too soon the day had come,
To bid goodbye to all, not some.
If only every one of us, had learnt to love our neighbour,
The world so rosy we would find,
And never have to labour.
Our world off course without remorse,
Have lost themselves a major.
The enemies from a neighbouring land,
Had won themselves a wager.
A thing we must take notice of,
And never fail to remember,
Is everytime a life is lost,
It’s someone’s family member.
