The Skye Boat Song from Starz series, "Outlander", a book series written by,: Diana Gabalden

Find me a lad that will give me his hand
protect me with body and soul
Blood of my blood, bone of my bone
He vows in the Gailic of old
Here is my heart, here is my hand,
Here is my silver band
Love of my heart love of my soul
you're my lass and I am your man

Premium MemberTribute to Skye Kendall

Can you know without knowing?
What is in your hands that’s not showing?

Is it the brilliant light of a child’s wonder?
We gaze into her blue eyes and ponder.

The magical warm light is from her heart.
It moves and flows in you to never part.

Reaching in kindness with a vibrant touch.
The amazing light of her smile means so much.

The Child gifts you with pleading eyes.
Love blossoms in you and you wonder why.

Alone in the dark you cry and cry as your heart breaks.
She rushes to you with smiles and hugs you cannot shake.

The silent night recedes in the radiant light.
To show the beauty of her cheerful delight.

The child spreads out her heavenly wings.
Arms wide, She starts to magically sing.

We gasp knowing the angel heals with a song.
We are comforted that we now belong.

The Black Cuillins of Skye

A fearful, jagged place
Yet wondrous to the eye.
A place for hardy mountaineers,
The Black Cuillins of Skye.

No place for the timid
Imposing in their might,
But to stand and look upon
There's ne'er a grander sight.

Interlopers amid rolling hills
A ridge of fierce repute,
Standing aloof, magnificent
They challenge rope, and boot.

Bicycle Ride On Skye

Bicycle ride on Skye

We’re off on a bike ride, brother Mick and I,
From Portree to Staffin, on the Island of Skye.
Sandwich for lunch, by the old man of Storr,
A stop at Culnacnoc, but not sure what for.

Over the Bens, down through the Glens,
Making good speed on twists and the bends.
Towards Flodigarry, over dark Jurassic Hills,
Beauty of Balmaqueen, perfect place to chill.

On the road back home, village of Kilmuir,
Looking to the sky, where Eagles dare to soar.
Through Earlish and Eyre on our way home,
Teatime and shower ‘fore I write this poem.

We went on a bike ride, brother Mick and I,
From Portree to Staffin, on the Island of Skye.

Smelling the Coffee On the Isle of Skye

The smiling loch gives a welcome
Along with the vigorous pine,
Time to recharge the soul
And smell the coffee on the Isle of Skye.

Misty mountains of mystery
Are a drug with a natural high,
And offer more to discover
Sipping coffee on the Isle of Skye.

The landscape changes each minute
As clouds give way to the shine,
As the sun whispers the invite
Smell the coffee on the Isle of Skye.

White washed homes contrast colour
Of illuminous mountain sides,
That greet the Cali ferries,
And bring life to the Isle of Skye.

You can almost touch the mountains
As you're touched by the Western Isles,
Three dimensions experienced, while
Sipping coffee on the Isle of Skye.

But the likeness of God in nature
Stirs the fourth dimension inside,
Marries the natural and spiritual, while
Smelling the coffee on the Isle of Skye.

Chaos theory must answer
To the Western Island design,
A place too wonderful for me
While smelling coffee on the Isle of Skye.

The Gaelic heart of Scotland
Melts into the core of mine,
As the wide-eyed little boy
Smells the coffee on the Isle of Sky.

Fish and Chips On the Isle of Skye

Fish and chips on the Isle of Skye
At eight PM when the sun is still high,
With friendly midgies and the coffee hot
Where the Chips are greasy but the fish is not.

The opaque moon says "look at me"
Above the bright blue shiny sea,
The fluffy pillows hang in the air
While the Spannish tourists sigh and stare.

The little boats give you a dance
The distant mountains give you a trance,
My wife's lipstick smears on her fork
We taste the view and enjoy a talk.

While we let Skye work to catch our breath
We see less is more & more is less,
So it doesn't matter the slice was dry
With the Fish and chips on the Isle of Skye.

Note : a "midgie" is like mini mosquito

Skye Sweetnam

Skye Sweetnam is one of the best female rock stars the world has ever seen. She's from the
suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her music is so amazing, it's like I'm at a mini rock
concert outside of New York City. It's also as if there's an alternative rock fest just
outside Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Not only is Skye Sweetnam very beautiful, I find her
very attractive, she's awesome, and she's cute, too. I love the way she plays the guitar
and the way she sings. The day Skye became a a rock star was the day she had wowed all of
us American rock music fans. Her latest music video, "Tangled Up In Me," was the best
music video I've ever seen, even on MTV. Skye Sweetnam is also known for her punk-rock
outfits and her multicolored hair. Not to mention her appearance on the Canadian version
of "American Idol."She was born in 1988, the same year I was born in. She's just like
other female rock stars from Canada: Fefe Dobson and Avril Lavigne. And if fate were to
bring me and Skye together and we fall in love with each other in less than a minute, then
everything will be alright. I hope she makes it into the rock and roll hall of fame in the
near future.

The Skye

The universe is a wonderful thing. I just want to say that I am in love with the
plantet pluto. It is wonderful. President John F. Kennedy I just want to say thank
you for finding the stars; and the plantets. I love to look at them at night and find
out constellations. I love the milky way.
