When life threw me a curveball,
I stumbled—then chuckled mid-fall.
Lumped knees, not pride, I wore like bent,
because sneering is something I've seen.
In chemo rooms and vestibules,
I frenzied dry jokes on aseptic walls.
Doctors simpered, nurses would beam—
a punch-line where the fear had been.
When agony thumped hard and sleep grew thin,
I let the silly light writhe in.
A meme, a whirl , a silly song—
made aching days feel less so long.
No, humour incurable or patch,
But it's the ally, not made to part.
It doesn't silence, hurt or truth,
but let me smirk with my aching tooth.
So here's my laugh, though life gushes beneath,
it's how I rise, not how I lament!

The room glanced around me unknowingly,
a gilded fingertip held to lips,
A finished thought unshared
In the whisperness i see your dark
A simpered yes has no flaws
A life lived in the storms port
Beating the skin above the shared heart,
All my sighs are welcomed,
Faith in time i ate
like moths feeding on something lacy

"Shadows cannot be killed,
No one can negotiate, you're a mere living"
Simpered the ghost.
"Phantasmic" I muttered with a stare
in hidden quivers of fear ready to explode.
"Now watch the macabre joke by the living"
said, conjuring my courage
switched the light back ON,
killing the dead again instantly
"Yeah! eat that, creep."
heard a maunder fading
"Not again" he got smoked making me smile.
Eyes wandered around, corner to corner
under the bed to the ceiling.
'anymore ghost from past, ready to get blast?'
snickering I slip into my sleep.

Oh Princess dear give me a kiss.
Simpered a snake, with a sultry hiss.
Oh princess dear just one will do,
or maybe, maybe, perhaps two?
Oh princess dear, it’s so long since,
I was a young handsome prince.
Oh princess dear, a wicked witch,
made me a snake the nasty *****.
Oh princess dear, I’ll tell you why
It’s so sad. Oh please don’t cry.
Oh princess dear, she wanted me,
Her loving husband to be, but...
Oh princess dear. I just could not.
So a snake she made me, on the spot.
Oh princess dear, take pity on me
Then once again a prince I’ll be.
Princess dear, said” oh poor snake,
that is something I cannot make.
For my dear snake, there is a hitch,
You see, I am, that wicked witch.

Her tresses black as jet, eyes startling blue
Her dress a silken gown of blushing pearl
But never in doubt was my love for you
So comely was she, such a charming girl
Her dress a silken gown of blushing pearl
Enticingly she simpered, young men sighed
So comely was she, such a charming girl
Her beauty rare could never be denied
Enticingly she simpered, young men sighed
Did not perceive her father’s cross concern
Her beauty rare could never be denied
At sixteen years she had a lot to learn
Her tresses black as jet, eyes startling blue
But never in doubt was my love for you
A Pantoum. ( I think/hope)
