Blood and Kin, Part II

...His hand flashed fast, the Colt spoke loudly,
Dalton was struck, flew back wildly.
Silas shifted right, cut down that man,
still fumbling with the gun in his hand.

The other man threw his hands up high,
said Silas, “Run, or you too will die.”
The bandit scrambled, leaving the bar,
Dalton still breathed, but wouldn’t get far.

“In what wourld could we ever be kin?”
snarled Silas, standing over him.
“When you get there, find Satan and tell
him how a Hamlin sent you to Hell.”

Dalton’s breath rasped, the fear present now,
wanting mercy he’d never allowed,
but Silas cared not, slowly took aim,
then sent a bullet straight through his brain.

The saloon was still, people hiding,
Silas straight up, gun still smoking,
said to the bartender, “Sorry for the floor.”
flipped him some gold, then strode out the door.

What Can Be the Reasons To Keep Demons While They Are Volunteers To Take Them Out

When the sun rises
and it is shining brightly
on the entire earth.

When Holy Spirit
enters a holy person,
stays permanently.

When demons enter
a dirty person , can be
chased out easily.

But some people can
keeping demons for Secret
aims & deals in their lives.

Paul and Silas were
In jail due to casting out
demon from someone.

Premium MemberBelieve On the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 16: 31

This jailer faced death or fullness of life
his voice was a cry of real desperation
he knew his boss would spare no mercy
such was his sinful state in utter pollution

The apostle Paul's words brought hope
hope to believe on God's own son
this jailer looked believingly on the Lord
salvation came for great transactions done

The witness of Paul and Silas proved
God blesses our faithful witness of joy
singing praises of their untold grace
that's for many women, girl, men, and boy

God seeks you this day my friend
to believe and trust in the Lord
He's made way open all to heaven
mighty is His name written by His word

Premium MemberPaul and Silas

It was grim and gloomy
Devoid of hope for freedom
They were bound and thrown
Into man’s maximum security
After severe beating and humiliation
In utter hopelessness
But God was still saying something
And so they did not give in to fear
But chose path of prayer and praise
And God who relishes the praises of His children
Swung into action with an earthquake
Rocking the maximum security prison
To its foundation and unto freedom
For Paul and Silas
Whatever is your situation today
Do not despair or give up
For even when He is silent
God is still saying something
Take the route of prayer and praise
They never fail to attract His attention
Nor His saving Grace

Song of Praise

Like Miriam in the wilderness
I will raise my tambourine high
To praise this king
Who brought me from my Egypt
Into the Promised Land
You have carried me through
The desert
The barren wasteland
That was my life of sin
I will shout in your arms
As John shouted even
In his mother's womb
Hold me strong
As you have done
Throughout each twilight hour
Of this journey I have walked
I will thrive in your grace
As Daniel  and Job did
When staring even into
The eyes of death
God you are my refuge
God you are my life
You have rescued me
From the chains
Of sin and bitterness
I am still weak
But you saved me
From eternal darkness and now
I know no matter what I do
I can cry out to you
And you will come to rescue
I will pray and repent and praise
Like David in the courtyard
Like Paul and Silas in the prison
Like Miriam in the wilderness
Forever and always
Thank you for another year of Life

Premium MemberMacedonian Man

To Phrygia, to Galatia,
And then up further north:
Thus, Paul and Silas hatched a plan,
And so they ventured forth.

But then, a bit perplexingly,
Christ would not let them through.
The Asia route was blocked to them;
The explanations, few.

When they arrived in Mysia,
Again they tried the north.
Bithynia was blocked as well;
They traveled west henceforth.

And in the middle of the night,
A man came in a dream,
“Please come to Macedonia!”
’Twas from the Lord, they deemed.

So they proceeded with all haste
To those who had beseeched,
For God had given audience
To hear the gospel preached.

To Some Extent

To some extent
My existence is being questioned
For the choices I've made

My dreams are being queried
For watching me sleep and still dream

My conscience is being crucified
For the horrible horrors I've accepted in life

My heart is being broken
For the unhealthy living and uncertainties

My soul seeks refuge
For all it witnessed and fear may consume me

Old Life

Old life

A tree has a seed
A small seed gives life to a tree
Now a tree grows
By girth it increases
Leaves green they look
The only shade for hot sun
A hope keeps glowing for the gardener
Vigorously the gardener sees it grow
Now old it is
Down it withers from head
Roots no longer go deeper
Time now for it to be cared
Old the tree is new branches keeps it alive
The tree is now growing white
A stick needed to make it stand
Branches its your time
The tree's time long gone

Soliloquy

Sigh

Someone say
Something

Sate my starving
Synaptic surges

That slowly but
Hopefully won't
Succumb to so
Stated selfless
Self-proclaimed
Salesmen and
Women
Selling

Subjective
Sylabbic
Alphabet
And omega
Steamed
Stodgy
Soup
That

I seemingly
Stir slightly
Swirling
With a
Spoon
While

Staring
Some
Where
Where
Babel has
Fallen into
Babble but
Silas sings
Off these
Shackles

So sing
I while
Silent
Stupid
Sheeple
Graze on
This page

And no one
Says anything

Sigh

Premium MemberNothing Great Was Ever Achieved Without Enthusiasm

*title is Ralph Waldo Emerson quotation

Enthusiasm often is the reason
behind much-needed change and happiness.
Add zest to common sense and careful planning.
You hold the recipe to great success.

Though just the word “contagious” makes us fearful,
some things we spread are much to be desired.
Just think of how a smile and lively manner
spread through a crowd as others are inspired.

            ******************

The Bible speaks of our approach to living.
What gems of wisdom does the Word convey?
Do not be lacking in enthusiasm,
but serve the Lord with fervor* every day.

When Paul and Silas, jailed for their convictions,
sang hymns at midnight, hearers found The Way.*
Good works and labor, do with verve and spirit
to please the Lord; that’s what some Scriptures say.*

 *Romans 12:11
Acts 16 Jailor became believer, then family became believers.
		  The Way—Jesus
Col. 3:23 and Ecc. 9:10, are examples.

Premium MemberAnother Day At the Jail

A jailer has never two similar days
never knowing what will be next
I should know for that's what I do
way back in the days of no text

There were these two prisoners
two Christians Paul and Silas by name
I was on night shift there one night
looking after them but never the same

Out of the blue they started to sing
there's a green hill real far away
without a city wall the Lord crucified
that message was for me that day

Then the jail doors broke open
I thought they had fled away
as an earthquake hit the place
but that one Paul cried we stay

Fear gripped my heart I need God
salvation came deep inside did not fail
my lights came on shining bright
believing on Jesus right out of jail

So another day at the jail
but what an amazing day
my whole family came to Christ
with God's promise came to stay

Paul and Silas's Imprisonment

The Philippi rulers had Paul and Silus beaten, imprisoned and their feet clamped into the stocks.
Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to The Lord continuously after the cell was locked.
But at midnight the prisoners bonds were unfastened when the foundation started to shake.
This happened because God caused an earthquake.
The jailer feared the rulers because he thought the prisoners had escaped and he was going to commit suicide.
But Paul told him that they were still there and the jailer saw all of the prisoners, what Paul said was verified.
The jailer asked Paul and Silas how that he could be saved and he was told.
They said to believe in Jesus and he would be saved along with his household.
The jailer cleaned Paul and Silas's wounds and then they baptized the jailer's family.
Paul and Silas were released from prison and then they were asked to leave the city.

Stuff the Stuff

Even the holiest couldn't know Him but a glimpse was enough
Going through times so grim life wasn't about the worldly stuff
They shined through these moments giving God all the praise
They never sat on the fence in so by following the Lord's Ways

But today it is a different story too many people are distracted
They can not see God's Glory for His Light satan has refracted
Yet His Light is still there His Glory was, is and will never cease
You should read up on His Story and not let the devil so fleece

In prison they would sing and what happened to Paul and Silas
Let's say freedom would ring, The Rescuer of all from the abyss
But many don't sing, in fact in His Name they don't even believe
And to them these words do not ring another trick up his sleeve

For either you're in or you're out yet only God knows your heart
He knows your every single doubt the very instant of it's start
He knows you so well but it is you who needs to open the door
So many picking hell when there was so much, so much more

Do You Know Lydia?

Lydia could be any lady, mother we know
She had a business of selling purple
Made money for her family yet
Was generous to other believers and friends
if they needed somewhere to stay she opened her home to them.

She cooked meals, cleaned and listened to the disciples
learned all she could of God's plans and words
Lydia was rewarded by being able to share in
Paul and Silas' miracle of being released from prison by the hand of God.

The guards were converted to believers due to the earthquake that loosed the chains of
Paul and Silas, yet they did not escape the jail. Which would cause the guards to be
executed. Yet the guard and his whole family was converted to believers through this
incidence. Paul and Silas were released of any charges at this time.

Do you believe God is in control? I do!!
From Acts chapter 16 of the KJV
