Premium Member Life On the Farm

***

          Spring comes early,
when you live on a farm.
          There's new born life,
          and sounds in the barn.

          Silas, the rooster,
          was clucking and crowing.
          Come! Come! See,"
          "I have something worth showing."

          The hens were gossiping,
          and clucking a song.
          Running to see,
          Whatever was wrong?

          The horses were alerted,
          the sheep were too.
          The cows in the fields,
          you can hear their "M-O-O-O-S".

          Now that the animals,
          have all gathered round.
          "Tell us, Mr. Silas,"
          "Whatever have you found?"

           Before this charming old rooster,
           could make a sound.
You heard the cries in the corner,
           Oh! were they loud!

          Up popped a head,
          as cute as can be.
          Oh! No, I think that,
          maybe there's three.

It seems that the farmer's Collie,
by the name of Miss Kate.
She had her puppies in the barn,
          last night around eight.

          "Oh! Miss Kate! Your puppies,
are as precious as can be."
          "Whatever will you name them,
          "Your litter of three".

          "Thank you! Very kindly,"
"Please! meet my pack of three. "
"Willa, Grace, and little Elliot Kate,"
"I'm as proud as I can be of my little family."

           The animals left, happy,
           and wished them all well.
           Except for Mr. Silas,
he has a new story to tell.

           Yes, spring comes early,
when you live on a farm.
           There's new born life.
and sounds coming from the barn.

The Flowers Friend

The moonbeams tripped my pillow, gently, softly
kissed my cheek. My roof a Weeping Willow,
through which a gentle breeze did speak. In the
Tulip bowl I quickly washed my face, Damsel
Flies dried me with beating wings of lace.
Slurp ! Slurp ! The Snail came trundling by,
along a silver trail he came, slowly, surely,
slowly, Silas was his name. Heading for the
cabbage patch, his one and only aim. I climbed
his silver shell and lay back for the ride, my
pockets full of golden seeds, to sow the
countryside. Poppies, Orchids, Bittersweet
and Cuckoo Flower, Pimpernel, Primrose,
Pansies and April Shower. Whilst on this
journey distress did catch my ears, Silas came
to a halt before a pool of tears. Down the
shell I did slide, kissed him on the cheek and
thanked him for the ride. Against the moon a
lonely Rose it cried, come child confide in me
a friend is at your side. The Greenfly he sinks
his teeth, my tiny buds they bleed, ripping at
my petals in his urge to feed. I dressed her
wounds with herbs and love, caressed her petals
with golden glove. Have no worry to her I say,
for I have friends at light of day. They will come
when they have heard, the flowers friend the
Ladybird. Five spot, seven spot, eight spot,
nine, on the Greenfly they will dine. Softly,
lightly, his feet will tread, standing guard
around your head. Time is late I must go,
fields and pastures I must sow. At dawns
first glance I must fade, to the safety of the
secret glade. Under the arms of the magic
Willow, my bed of moss and Lavender pillow

Paul and Silas

They were caught in town preaching The Word
And oh such anger had this always stirred
The magistrates soon had the two taken away
As they were stripped and harshly whip that day

Led away all bond in chains to be thrown in jail
Such force upon two men who seemed to be so frail
And their jailer, oh! he was certainly a very mean one
Placing them in the inner most jail so as no chance to run

There they were in that dark cell so beaten and still bound
When just around midnight there came a glorious sound
These two men began to sing out in such Godly praise
For they were still seeing all the Glory of His Ways

And all those others prisoners they also heard
Such peace and calm before the earth soon stirred
For suddenly the whole ground began to rattle and shake
As all the doors and chains opened during this mighty earthquake

Well by this time that mean old jailer had awoke
With every door open the terror in him this would evoke
So to kill himself he grabbed a big sword that was near
When Paul quickly cried out, "wait, we're still here

He loudly cried out in falling down upon his knees
Asking them how to follow Jesus with loud sobbing pleas
And then that jailer led Paul and Silas outside
And those two men never did end up being tried

Now that December has descended
with it's roots of ice and skies of snow
our timber fortress is a sanctuary of ethnographic enlightenment
and embassy that entreats the exchange of craftsmanship,
lately I have been preoccupied with my etymological research,
it is important to President Jefferson, an anthropologist
that we discover the origin of the natives through their languages,
he is obsessed with understanding the diversity of the human race
a bone collector of civilizations and shaman of scholarship,
Private Sheilds, through his blacksmithing expertise
has allowed us to barter iron for corn without which
the Corps of Discovery would either lose vital quantity of provisions,
be reduced to malnourished paupers, or even engage in unscrupulous raiding,
there are still a thousand arduous miles to go
from all estimations, before reaching the Pacific,
as is, the Elders, especially from the Hidatsas
are suspicious of our motives
because of the 18 foot high pallisaded fort we have built adjacent to the Mandans,
so mistrust is suppressed well with an open door policy
and liberal trade of battle axes,
knives, weapon and tool sharpening, kettles, needles and so on,

January 1805,
the new year has introduced 40 below zero weather, syphilis and fists fights,
to stave the ills of boredom we routinely go on hunting expeditions
through the gruelling grip of winter's madness,
another activity that warms the soul are the spectacular jamborees
that conjure the whiles of instincts
and reminds us all how the heart seeks it's deepest expressions,
Cruzzatte plays the fiddle like a tempter of lunatic love
while Silas Goodrich thumbs a mandolin into the dreams of romantic heroism,
the squaws often coo with eyes of diamonds
arms outstretched with fingers swaying like wind blown wheat,
York is a sensation with the Indians
they have never seen a Black Man before
describing him as the black clay of chaos,
they believe there is magic in his skin
touching and rubbing him constantly like a healing stone,

Prayer Power: Initial Sermon of Deacon Bennetta Gipson-Carroll

everyday I see people dwelling in the dark dungeons of life
and despite them trying to do the right thing they're struck with trouble and strife
felled by illness, unemployment, homelessness and all manners of despair
but I've never seen anyone who would not then kneel down in prayer

prayer is a conversation that takes place between you and God
it's when the Holy Spirit transcends and enters into your heart
it's an intimate talk with God that will change the atmosphere
it's when you call upon the grace and mercy of God to appear

prayer also has the power to alter one's behavior
we then tend to develop traits like Jesus the Christ our Savior
we learn to trust, we learn to accept, we learn not to judge
we learn to let go of negative things and to no longer hold a grudge
prayer power has the ability open eyes and hearts
to allow us to see the goodness that is the Lord our God

Now Paul and Silas were beaten and subsequently thrown into jail
but the power of their praying to the Lord God then prevailed
an earthquake shook the foundation of that dark prison cell
all the doors flew open, all the shackles fell broken it must have been like total hell
but it was only the power of prayer that had manifested
when the mighty hand of God by Paul and Silas was requested

prayer is the furtherance of the gospel that is Jesus Christ
prayer is the foundation for living a Christian life
so let the power of prayer lift you up and lift you out
of those dark dungeon situations that I was talking about
so pray until something happens, just wait and believe
that with the power of prayer the grace and mercy of God you will receive

Premium Member Another Day At the Jail

A jailer has never two similar days
never knowing what will be next
I should know for that's what I do
way back in the days of no text

There were these two prisoners
two Christians Paul and Silas by name
I was on night shift there one night
looking after them but never the same

Out of the blue they started to sing
there's a green hill real far away
without a city wall the Lord crucified
that message was for me that day

Then the jail doors broke open
I thought they had fled away
as an earthquake hit the place
but that one Paul cried we stay

Fear gripped my heart I need God
salvation came deep inside did not fail
my lights came on shining bright
believing on Jesus right out of jail

So another day at the jail
but what an amazing day
my whole family came to Christ
with God's promise came to stay

Assisted Living

She smoothed the worn out roses on the apron in her lap
lamplight mellowed roughened knuckles
as she spread out her treasures
Like Silas Marner, thumbing his golden coins
Martha gently fingered every token of her life's journey
   Some she even kissed,tenderly,reverently,recalling
some dear face,a memory, attached as surely as if it was
etched,permanently ,on her heart.
Martha smiled, whispered, and prayed as one by one she
placed her keepsakes back in a cedar box
until she came to the one thing she always saved til last
Her wedding veil. still crinkly and alive though yellowed with time
she took it up and put it on.Stiffly she hobbled to the mirror
In the looking glass she was nineteen and aglow with love
Arthur stood behind her, smoothing her hair.
she turned as he lifted the veil to kiss her,
Come my love, let's go down to dinner,he mummered in her hair
She took his arm and let him escort her to the dining room
The reception was a great success,or so the nurses told her
as they dressed her for bed and carefully put the mischievious
veil back in the cedar box beside her bed.

What Can Be the Reasons To Keep Demons While They Are Volunteers To Take Them Out

When the sun rises
and it is shining brightly
on the entire earth.

When Holy Spirit
enters a holy person,
stays permanently.

When demons enter
a dirty person , can be
chased out easily.

But some people can
keeping demons for Secret
aims & deals in their lives.

Paul and Silas were
In jail due to casting out
demon from someone.

Meticulously Marvelous

Meticulously Marvelous
My friend is meticulous
He handles everyone
With extreme care.
If you choose
To follow Him
You'll be cured
From the blues
At any time
You need Him
He's always there
He loves unconditionally
He has many followers
He handles the world's
Problems meticulously
Which much marvel
Than the comics
He came down
Through 42
Generations
Conspicuously
Via the God the
Father and
Placed the womb
Of a God-fearing
Virgin with
The Holy Ghost
Acting as the
Surgeon.
He's renown in
Many nations.
He's so grand
That He died
For us and
The Holy Spirit
Was too powerful
For Him to stay
In the tomb
He rose bravely
With all power
In His hands
On the third day
He's meticulously
Marvelous-
He was made
That way
Jesus,
The Holy Ghost,
My Father God
The trinity
Meticulous friends
Without Him
I wouldn't know
Who, what, how,
Or When.
They are good
Friends for any
Of God's children,
Remember Daniel
In the lion's den,
The three Hebrew
Boys in the fiery
Furnace, Paul
And Silas in the
Real Jailhouse
Rock, The trinity
Stepped in with
Great Might
To cause all
Of the leaders
Of darkness
A no win situation
Fight or Flight.
So every day
And every night
Often more than
Twice I don't worry
About being popular
Or persecuted for
Striving my best
To live right
Because although
Situations may look
Rough exteriorly.
Interiorly, things
Are being updated
By the tough trio
The Father, the Son
And The Holy Ghost
If you don't know,
Now you know.
They've got my back
Fa show.
I love my enemies
But they're going to have
To let me go.
They fake power
Will shimmer away
Like fairy dust,
And their wicked ways
Will tarnish and rust.
Then I be glad
To say that trouble
Don't last always
The trinity better
Known as the
The meticulously
Marvelous three
Worked it out
For me.

Misernomics

the talking heads are also comics
these economic geniuses after years
are spouting praises of Misernomics
quick study concluded we're in arrears

and need to decapitalize life today
don't spend anything you ain't got
to forestall our tomorrow going away
good advice founding fathers caught

and don't pay for what you don't need
so therefore we'll cut back education
sound advice in sane person might heed
to better manage our bankrupt nation

and health and vitality merely frills
no need to waste our coins on want
when trying to cover economic ills
monetary mismanagement returns to haunt

what we want is to address our need
to count ourselves and sum our greed
those roads, bridges, electrical grids
mattered back when the things we did

were more important than take home pay
we'll keep it all and count it up
what you knew then, has now gone astray
soon Spend-it-omics could again erupt

our future, our kids, our progeny all
"This boy is Ignorance. This girl is Want"
matters minor, in our countless pall
our poorest desire, the possible, too daunt

in the mean time we say "thanks a bunch"
We'll save our lives for better times
food for thought on societies free lunch
We'll save our monied economic crimes

as Silas Marner tabled reclusive coins
no weighty matters outweigh the economy
these fearful economic times purloined
might priorities reflect our tragicomedy?

My Thirty Cents Worth

The concept of time is an elusive dream
The concept of thought in time more elusive
Since i overcame the space time constraints
And followed a path ordained from the start

..Paid they thirty cents of coins to the betrayer
Thirty cents and my Savior was uplifted
Hanging on that cross moving time eternity..

That Rabbi sacrifice changed everything
And Silas once more was able live again
Silas once more was able to abide by time

. ...I will call you my servant Silas
I will subdue nations before you
I will loose the amour of kings
So that gates will not be be shut
                       I will go before you...

They paid thirty cents and Rabbi the Elect of God
Picked up that rugged cross and bore the burden
Oh RABBI there on that cross time stood still..
As atonement was made for past, future and present

....As the throne of mercy was revealed and the elect
Gained entry.. Hard was my lot when i lived
                           By the tents of Kedar...

Taking another route
As the Lord had granted him
Means and ends to all paths
And to be a guidance to they
Who lack not in patience

Moving through the eastern gate pass
Taking the very path of dawn
Arriving traveler at the throne of mercy
Thirty cents of coins paid and my master
Breathed his last saying its over

There's a Whole Lot of Shaking Going On

there's a whole lot of shaking going on and you're all shook up
but that is how life is when you drink from God's cup
life can take unexpected turns and have you all spun around
just remember who's in control and has the power to settle life down
now Paul and Silas were in prison for simply preaching the gospel
but after praying to God He then did the impossible

when life has you all shook up you need to stand back and sit still
don't be negative, have a little talk with God and then wait on His will
continue to do what is required of you and trust in God to show you a plan
for God can open new doors in a way you might not even understand
but that's okay as the word of God says to lean not towards your own understanding
but to wait for the will of God to intercede and to do what the Spirit is demanding

if you have a relationship with God He might shake up your normal routine
to take you out of your comfort zone and into a place you've never seen
it might not make much sense to you and you might even disagree
but God knows what is best when it comes to your destiny

accepted beliefs, traditional concepts and that's how it's always been done
but a whole lot of shaking will be going on and your faith may be under the gun
sop forget those accepted beliefs and let God guide you along
allow Him to shake things up and put you where He knows you belong
as no weapon formed against you will prosper nor come to fruition
allow the will of God to shake things up and put you in a better position

now the adversary also has the power to shake things up in your life
just recognize the enemy for what he is and then call on the power of Christ
a young girl who was demon possessed had caused a riot to manifest
with lies told against Paul and Silas they found themselves under arrest
but Paul and Silas did not possess the spirit of fear
for they knew that the Lord God would always be there

so at the midnight hour when all hell tends to break out
that's when to the Lord our God Paul and Silas did pray and shout
and lo and behold God answered their call
an earthquake occured and shook the prison walls
then all the cell doors flew open
and all the shackles were then broken

for when the praises to God go up the blessings of the Lord come down
and there will be a whole lot of shaking going on
but that's okay you're on sacred ground

Premium Member Believe On the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 16: 31

This jailer faced death or fullness of life
his voice was a cry of real desperation
he knew his boss would spare no mercy
such was his sinful state in utter pollution

The apostle Paul's words brought hope
hope to believe on God's own son
this jailer looked believingly on the Lord
salvation came for great transactions done

The witness of Paul and Silas proved
God blesses our faithful witness of joy
singing praises of their untold grace
that's for many women, girl, men, and boy

God seeks you this day my friend
to believe and trust in the Lord
He's made way open all to heaven
mighty is His name written by His word

Paul and Silas's Imprisonment

The Philippi rulers had Paul and Silus beaten, imprisoned and their feet clamped into the stocks.
Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to The Lord continuously after the cell was locked.
But at midnight the prisoners bonds were unfastened when the foundation started to shake.
This happened because God caused an earthquake.
The jailer feared the rulers because he thought the prisoners had escaped and he was going to commit suicide.
But Paul told him that they were still there and the jailer saw all of the prisoners, what Paul said was verified.
The jailer asked Paul and Silas how that he could be saved and he was told.
They said to believe in Jesus and he would be saved along with his household.
The jailer cleaned Paul and Silas's wounds and then they baptized the jailer's family.
Paul and Silas were released from prison and then they were asked to leave the city.
