Premium Member OKAPI'S DILEMMA

Okapi thought he was a horse
Attempted to blend in, of course
Zebras kicked him out
Horses ran about
But okapi had no remorse

Zebra In M and S

A Zebra in M&S

I don’t suit these broad black stripes,
Said a Zebra in M & S.
Have you something in a spot?
I want to look my best.

Premium Member Zebra Is Zippy

Zebra is not the odd one at all
In tales of adventure so springy and tall
In the land of the wishy swisher kings
The zebra is zippy, kind of one of the zings.

Premium Member swimming to the grasslands

We are now swimming up the Boteti River, we twenty-three
To get to grasslands and savannah woodlands, you see
swimming is fun, sang the zebras, and the eating is free

rainbow zebra was outrageously out
he pranced and wiggled his tail about
proud of his quirky ways and his unique design
a quintessential artist; I am glad he is mine.

Our Life Story, Like a Zebra For Us,

Our life story, is like a zebra for us,
A black band, a white band, then a big ****,
And in the end, as everybody knows,
Prepare to receive by the hoof the final blow!

Premium Member Zebra Pattern

Her left side and right side are not the same
Zebra from Kenya, hunter’s big game
Her stripes are as diverse and unique as they can be
Sometimes in groups of twos, tens or threes

Premium Member Zebras of the Wild

stripes snaking through verdent grasses
we follow along in a helicopter
appreciating that natives are free
like wild mustangs, enjoying their full power
not locked in zoos, separated by bars

Zebra Keys

Music from her zebra keys,
Sets her soul and mind at ease,
Angels sing as evil dies,
Each note melts away her cries,
Rising above into that place,
Where she gets more than just a taste.

Zebra Star

There once was a zebra from China.
Who liked to sing songs in D minor.
    His voice was the rage
When they put him on stage.
He rode out of town a headliner!

The zebra:
An optical illusion
That tricks your sight,
Not colour, not HD ready,
But just in black and white.

An African sales success,
Of great pride it’s the source,
Cleverly marketed as …
A bar-coded horse.

Zebra Crossing

One by one
          We follow each other
Come humps and bumps in life
          We jump them all
Sometimes with slips and falls
Sometimes we are stranded
Sometimes we are waiting
But most times we are crossing

Young Zebra In Search of Greatness

Young zebra
Proud of its beauty
In search of greatness
Went away alone saying;
“Let me visit the lion's den
When they see me there
All will come and worship me
Surely one will take me as wife
Then I shall become the queen mother

Zebra

Zebra
By Michelle Morris
17/07/2020

Ebony and ivory stripes
Grace its form;
Roaming the savanna from
The day it's born...

As one of Africa's
Majestic creatures,
The zebra is one of earth's
Beautiful features.

Premium Member The Zebra Is A Cunning Beast

The Zebra has a puzzling name,
Alphabet letters strangely cast,
It finishes off with the first,
After starting off with the last!

The Zebra is a cunning beast,
It blends with the waving grass,
With stripes upon its body and head
And even stripes upon its – legs!

Young Zebra

Young zebra
Proud of its beauty
Went away alone saying;
“Let me visit the lion den
When they see me there
All will come and worship me
Then I shall become
The queen mother"
But when lions saw it
They thought;
"Just a piece of flesh to taste
This one must be delicious"

Premium Member Understanding zebra stripes

is impossible!

I can’t count stripes
when the zebras won’t hold still!

The middle finger of God
is mocking me!

If you run away,
I can’t work
for National Geographic
or learn a damn thing
in this life
of purified conscience,
filtered concepts,
and dirty
magazines

Premium Member Zoo Zebra

The zoo zebra had zero zest for his zombie like zoo life
But, was very zealous to zone out and count his zany stripes
Appearing to be very Zen to visitors passing by

At his zenith, he would zoom free upon the plains
Now he just zigzags around his tiny pen
Looking for zucchini snacks the zookeeper left for him

Premium Member Glad To Be Caught In Our Zebra Pajamas

Amazon delivery man tiptoes up driveway
Pretends to not notice my zebra pajamas
When he stumbles over ordinary words
I feel a bit of satisfaction that he cares more than I do.

Finally I am entirely non-socialized.
This was a long time coming.
Trixie, my muse, and I high-five each other.
Glad to finally be “us”.

A Tiger's Tale

Like the leopard which not a spot can change or zebra their stripes a-one a mother's love for her tiger cub in winter snow or summer sun may never be undone but when out tiger hunting in all kinds of weather far from the calm of an ashram for bait a goat is often tethered its fate... a sacrificial lamb

Premium Member Classy Zebra Queen

Classy Zebra Queen with her dancing feet
She twirls and whirls and does a tango so sweet!
We love watching her stripes as they parade around.
Her hooves make an utterly beautiful sound!

Classy Zebra Queen you are one to watch.
Your dances take dancing up more than a notch.
Your moves are delicious, your twirling is sweet.
We surely do love your darling dancing feet!

Two Zebra had a nasty chat
One said “You think you’re all of that
Because your stripes are white on black
And that is your defining fact”.

The other, shaded black on white,
Chuckled with a strange delight
“I believe your vision is in error
Stop looking in the river’s mirror.

Trance of The Zebra

Allow the rain
Hunt for berries
Echoes cast our shadows
Accept the start
Deduce the summer nights

Lemon scented mead
Initiate the Eclipse
Escape the Bunker
Silver snow storms with warm shelter

Protect the youth
Educate society in past innovations
Allow for Patience and Understanding
Create solutions to advance Humanity
Erect monuments to recognize Greatness
