Annie Hall
was finally invited to the Governors Ball
but didn't take Woody
whom so many had said couldn't dance, could he?
forty years old
playful companion to a five year old
woody doll in one hand
buzz lightyear in the other
flying through the air into the yard
The art and technique
Of shaping trees and woody
Plants, time reveals all

If you are not as funny as Woody Allan
Nor as vicous as Joe Stalin and when
If you hear about those two and feel worse
Just read a little Poetrysoup verse
Woodrow Wilson Guthrie
sang about the people who lived roughly
he wrote and sang earthy songs a plenty
and he was friend and mentor to many
I once trick-or-treated...goodie, goodie!
I had wore, a sock with a hoodie
People were all so surprised
When they all had realized
I was walking around with a woody
There was an old man in the nude,
His wife was a bit of a prude,
As winter got chilly,
He played with his willy,
And asked if she’d rather be screwed.
For Andrea’s contest
Everyone seems ashamed of their nudity
I blame it all on the mayor of prudity
BUTT if she weren't so plump
she'd be flashing more rump
and more men would be driving home woody
Little starling,
perched in your woody heights,
kneading thy wet wings,
and gloating with song -----
Then flying off to some far shore:
Is it envy that I feel?
A Basket Contained Dice, Elves, Fish...
Great Halmslow Invited Jello Kwentish...
Lit moonlight nicely operated...
Plates quickly rubbed...
Slowly, time unveils...
Vast woody xylophones...
Years zest...
Old Man Named Woody
There was an old man named Woody
Always asked himself if could he?
he then walked lots
then smoked two more pots
he couldn't get up and stood-he.

"the Tom Woody tree"
apparently a perennial
annually coming back
pseudonyms of him
though i don't know

a carnelian
crystal flow reflects sunset
blanket of white peace
woody specters dot
painted skies on horizon
icy riverbank
crayola color
blending in duplicity

Brenda has a big bottom,
it causes quite a wake
as she swims toward me.
Soft girl steaming up to my woody
chuffing like a tugboat,
mouth as wide as a catfish.
Such things are not written of
nearly enough.
munching with my mate
buxom burgundy berries
autumn pigeon date
( I have a red guava tree which the wood pigeons love, eating 30 berries in one go - just swallow after swallow. Usually leave all fruit for them.)
Woody would if he could,
Jimmy did like he should,
Timmy just pulled down his hood,
Benny was so very good.
All the boys did the test,
Two did better than the rest,
Benny's result was the best,
Two boys think Maths is a pest.
I remember the melody that
was played last night,
Sparks of water, falling
from the heavens,
On the chest of giant
woody beings.
Falling from the skies note to note,
Making pleasing echoes,
going forever,
everywhere
Woody Allen once pondered, “Is rough sex dirty?”
Replied “Only if it's done right”, his eyes quite blurry
Voice trembling and shaking
During this joyous undertaking
Apologized for his words which came out quite slurry
MRI terror overwhelmed
Magnetic blanket weight
Heavy pressing down crushing air
Compressed can't breath can't do
Changed blanket lighter one helped
Closed eyes, plugged ears, go
Woody The Woodpecker turned loose
Clanging aluminum
Woody Woodpecker happily pecks in his tree-house decent,
mean landlady Meany evicts him, for he doesn’t pay the rent.
So, he plans his antics, stops real estate to sprawl in his forest,
tricks Lance, the harassed lawyer, to gift him a new tree-nest.

Woody Wood-Pecker
Does anybody remember the cartoon Wood Wood-Pecker?
Always used to laugh, do, play and sing to say so what the hecker
The show sure did last
He surely did fast
And did you know he’d really never and pick at your pecker.

That scent of your body I know so well,
mingled with that unmistakable
woody aroma,
lingers in the air,
heady and aflame
while my desire burns.
Then for the first time I knew.
In a forest of naked trees,
the canopy protected our own nakedness.
It was ours,
not to be shared.
Elmo Hit Woody Woodpecker
Woody Woodpecker was going too fast he hit dust
When Elmo ran right after him in earnest eager must
Oh my, oh my, that was a real wild hit and bad image
Too bad for Woody Woodpecker looked like a squashed spinach.
