with my wibbly nibbly pen;

arty farty, too!...

sun laden shadows
perpetually in motion
moved by Kansas wind

limbs honor the gods
reaching for heavenly stars
heart of tree smiles

frothy whirly gigs
gentle dandelion talk

Premium Member Sleep Late
No more getting up too early
   Brain half-fuzzy, bedroom whirly
Mood-a-combo: grumpy-surly
   Boarding workday's hurly-burly

Thanks to virus, I sleep late
Linger long in bed and wait
'Til the clock strikes half-past-eight
My new workday sure is great...

Premium Member Living Her Whirly Twirly Dance
Beautiful reddish gold leaves are turning too fast for me.
Cooler fall days are racing out of control toward autumn.
Living her twirly, whirly dance, activating fall brownies.
Wind chimes go crazy as feral leaf faeries swirl in the wind.
Throwing wasps out of their hiding places, enticing the owls....

Loser
Listen to poem:
Twirling whirly whiffle spots
Until the golden neon rots.
Baggy, red, balloon-pop eyes
Do shun the evil orb outside.

Resting in the toilet stalls.
Burning up with liver boils.
Rushing to the bandit now,
I slot another silver cow.

Who will buy my pocket-dust?
No fanny-waving, juggling bust.
Reality boards a bus to go
Dreaming high casino....

Premium Member A Spitfire Whirlwind
A whirlwind
A force to be reackoned with
A twirly whirly gig-o-ma-jig.
She has so much to show for her efforts.
It is fun to watch her in action.
I see things happening, and I laugh
Knowing she is the cause for a lot of it.
She’s a spitfire, someone says.
I nod.
She’s forever busy, another person adds.
She sure is. Her calendar is full.
Much more full than mine.
And mine is full too.
I was taught by the best.
She is my mother....

Happy Hampton Beach
Glistening throngs walk in detached cadence
Sweating long necks on a production line
Along the boardwalk
Pungent saltwater and fried dough drifts
Ocean meets country fair

Constant clamor of teen and seagull
A multitude of color variation
Red to black
Whiffs of Coppertone and Noxzema
To ease the pain of the vain and pale

Summer at Happy Hampton Beach
Arcade upon arcade
Clinking bells and whirly sounds
“You’re a Winner!” it screams
And then we are gone, until next year...
