Hope that's not it for summer
Two days only, what a bummer
It just can't be
Makes me wanna pee
Hope summer will be another hummer
A vampire known as Silent Killer,
wanted to star in a thriller;
He had just one flaw,
that lisp in his southern draw;
Film’s a talkie, what a bummer.
Once upon time, come every summer
Vacation travel was so much funner
Now I must stay close to home
Share with my dog a bone
O man, life today, what a bummer!
White Hot Christmas
by Michael R. Burch
I’m back from my jog;
it felt like summer
on Christmas Eve.
What a bummer!
Forget the sleigh, Santa,
hire a Hummer.
Two days in May, the extent of our summer
A couple in the eighties, what a bummer
It just ain't right
Quite a plight
Need a little chat with nature's mother
Two days in May, the extent of our summer
A couple in the eighties, what a bummer
It just ain't right
Quite a plight
Need a little chat with nature's mother
It’s the curse of the bent over plumber
Those who look say “Oh what a bummer”
It’s so silky and white
It must glow in the night
Hope it tans by the end of summer

Welcome to our ‘British’ summer
It’s raining again – oh what a bummer
Clear blue skies have turned to grey
Think it’s time for a foreign holiday!

Light...
Light Wakes this World from its Slumber
Light...
Light Shakes this World by the Number
Light...
Light Bakes this World every Summer
Light...
Light Takes this World...What a Bummer!
Papua New Guinea's answer to US President Obama
Was the 2011 duo that we liked to call O'Namah
They gave us two GG's, two PM's, two CJ's and much drama
But come election time they split-up, what a bummer!
Called the plumber – a chronic late comer
the sink slow dripping since late last summer
his low hanging drawers
but one of his flaws
the pose that he struck – Oh, what a bummer.

How could this happen to me?
What have I done wrong?
I can't believe this has happened.
I was trying my best.
Maybe my best was not good enough.
Well, I guess I will have to go back and do it again.
I have to, it is the only way
to graduate.
I failed the biology test.
What a bummer.
The drain's a pain
It's clogged again
The plunger's broke, what a bummer
To the rescue comes Liquid Plumr
No need to go insane
When the sink is clogged again
The plunger's broke, what a bummer
To the rescue comes Liquid Plumr

A friend had booked a river cruise,
The Elbe the go-to river,
But got this message: “Sorry, but
This trip we can’t deliver.”
It seems that Europe’s waterways,
Due to a broiling summer,
Are much too low for ships to ply;
For tourists, what a bummer!
We’ve booked a cruise some months away,
Though I have got a notion
Hot weather won’t be quite enough
To drain away the ocean!
Summer
Today we got a glimpse of summer,
old man winter, what a bummer.
Blue sky's, singing birds, oh so lovely,
bees buzzing, buds a budding, oh what glee.
Summer's calling, summer's calling, winter's waning.
Rays of glimmer, rays of hope, rays of singing.
Upward, upward little shoots, awakening faces,
reaching higher, ever higher smiling faces.
Summers calling, summers calling, show your splendor!
I don't want to become bitter
but I ice over a little bit more
each time I hear the pitter
patter of rain falling upon my window pane
It's just a sound and I know it
shouldn't evoke such emotion
in me. But ever so slowly
it takes control off me.
All I hear is the whirling of
the cold brutal wind whispering
as it slams. Your alone again.
No one to snuggle under.
What a bummer. It starts
to make me think I'm done for.
